Obviously not ideal - more so for the park than anything! but it’s good to see how popular it’s proving - the kinks will be ironed out and be good to see merlin roll them out more across all their parks!

As I said there’s plenty of capsules - but the park are recommending you don’t purchase as the only refills available are the standard Fanta / coke etc from F&B units. No not every single machine has ran out of every single drop of syrup - but the choice is so limited they’ve taken the choice to close them and recommend guests not to purchase them.

Lets get the facts right before we go running to report the park and looking silly... The capsules are not sold out (if they were to sell out the machines would remain open) - the mixing syrup is what’s sold out which is why machines are closed - if you are to buy a cup today you can refill them at f&b units (although the park are recommending not buy a cup today due to the lack of freestyle offering!)

That exact question has been on the surveys for the last 3 or so years now... would be nice mind if it did happen!

Yeah that’s always been one of the differences between an “annual” pass and a “season” one since they were introduced I believe.

Have you actually seen it working at the park this year? Not seen it work since the end of 2017.

Don’t get me wrong, im not saying the park don’t have its problems, but I wouldn’t say it’s quite at the soul destroying level! I do disagree though - personally think The Walking Dead retheme of X was executed brilliantly and was their last solid investment!

Rides close, they don’t last for ever (especially slammer..) Ghost train was added, as well as 2 rides for kids, Rumba is rumba agree it needs work, Saw alive isn’t “sinking”or it wouldn’t open. As I said, Thorpe has its problems but I think people can be abit extreme...

No but neither is thorpe so I’m not sure what relevance that has (I won’t deny it has its issues - but “falling apart and removing rides left right and centre” is quite extreme!)

The whole park does that to be fair I’m not sure what they can really do - you only need to dig a few foot down till you hit water (I remember the holes for the TVs were full of water!) it’s just the land the park isn’t on I guess.

There are much much worse car parks around than at Thorpe! Probably a long time - expect it’s one of the major attractions of the premium upgrade to many!

The point was more that there’s clearly a market for this kind of stuff within the industry rather than the logistics between the 2 ?

Interesting to see that Disney are holding a gaming event - because no one goes to a theme park to play games they clearly have no idea what they are doing... ?

They really are keen to discourage people buying at the barriers, last year you could buy on the day on your phone for £8 too, I guess it will be the same this year.

It was the one where depth charge is which was removed for last season - was used as booth to collect Ride Access passes towards the end of the season.

Not completely true they had looked into it going in the area where Fungle Safari was - not sure why it ended up where it is now.

I’m not sure why it would push anyone away? It’s a small scale thing in the marquee as an add on to a normal day, those who are interested will be in there those who aren’t will be on the rides, much like Love Island Lates. I can see them wanting to try stuff like this more, similar to what we saw last year with events throughout the year, this time just less zombieish!

If you visit often enough and don’t want to queue £400 is a good price for ultimate fastrack all season to be fair!

Yeha your right actually - didn’t think of them parts things like water pumps etc will almost certainly be no good by this point. I didn’t mean the alterations were not worth it - personally believe they would have been and it’s a shame it’s not to be.
