  1. What are your favourite memories of Thorpe Park? We all have those favourite moments....... let's disscuss them here.Well mine would be of a few years ago, Tidal Wave was being built and it was back when Thorpe used to have fireworks. It used to be on a Sunday, my family and I would go to the pub where my auntie lived and have a meal there. We would get to Thorpe by 3/ 4pm and the entrance price was like ?10.I remember riding Rumba Rapids in the dark- full of mist and you couldn't see where all the water jets were. The next would be eating Burger King and watching the fireworks. On the way out of the park, we always finished the day off with Depth Charge, and then we used to watch people coming down the slides, and quite a few times we used to see people crash into the barriers at the end. (This is why they now have that coating on the surface of the floor).Obviously it was when the boat was crammed with two big men (oi oi sailor) and it just used to be funny watching and hearing everyone's reaction.Oh, and donuts, with butterscotch dip

I'm confused. I thought the height ceiling was 115ft.That's what people have always said to me :SLol. Anyway, I'm not sure it matters that much.

  4. Yeah you're right about the area. I remember walking through it and my dad saying "look at all this open space, they could biuld loads here". Which is quite ironic I think.

I've had them before, they went after like a day.Although if you're getting them often I'd go and see a doctor if I were you I hope it isn't anything serious.
  6. I remember reading about that water coaster a while back. There was an article about it somewhere, saying that each aspect of the ride had been given to a different manufactureer. This meant to bad communication problems and as a result led to mis- calculations ect.The park looks very cute though. I like these smaller parks. They don't seem to have "we are owned by a corperate company" written all over them.

I feel really ill. I spent the whole of last night watching clips of previous Big Brothers. I couldn't sleep. -_-I finally went to bed at 8:30 this morning.Woke up at 13:00 and watched Pirates of the Carribbean and the came on here!
  9. That was very very well done indeed. It has that certain factor of arcaneness (is that even a word) about it. Sums up the Lost City in a nut shell really.
  10. LMAO!!! Consider it edited. Sorry about that...... and sorry to offend you and your beloved Phantasialand.
  11. I actually really need to go to Phantasialand. I really want to try River Quest, Black Mamba and what the heck... all of their rides really. They're constanly adding stuff to Black Mamba, even after all this time. It just goes to show how popular the inverted coasater is- it's B+M's best- selling ride.

Once there was a Kangaroo called Velma, he was so fed up with his life, he decided that he wanted to throw himself against a cactus.Ouch! From then on, she was known as Velma- the suicidal kangaroo.EDIT: Gary Coleman was rumoured to be going into CBB.

This years CBB rating for the finale was 7.31 million viewers. Just a random fact. I know that you will all sleep better now that you know that. :lol:AND EDIT:BB8 Auditions start on my birthday!!!And they finish when we're at Thorpe And here's one of the teaser adverts for CBB: Boink!I've got goosebumps. I'm sorry, I'll go and crawl back into my hole now

Damn straight you love me! Even though X is classed as being in Lost City, I think it would be good to have its own little seperate area (which it kinda is I guess).X has so much potential. It has so many assets that just simply aren't used. We have this massive building, full of dark corridoors. If they want to do it on the cheap, I think it would be good to see them invest in some lighting and sound effects. It would look good, and it also seems to be Tussauds preferred method of Themeing.Perhaps we could be seeing the majority of 2008's budget going on this?I doubt it, but it would be nice.

Wooo. I love the teasers for CBB!! Anyway.....Xmas T.V: hasn't been too sad. Who saw Little Britain Abroad (if it's abroad, then how is it Little Britain ?), and Vicar of Dibley?8 days until Desperate Housewives and CBB!!!YAY!!

Eeek. I mis-read your post- I meant X won't be going next year. Sorry. Blame it on all the alcohol.

X won't be going; I think we may be in for a pleasant treat come opening day of 2007. I hope so anyway.
  18. I'm looking forward to this coaster. I love rides that have bizzare themes, they usually seem to work well. And also, it's an example of a ride not taking themselves too seriously- which is just such a refreshing style to portray. Sorry to bring an old post up, but I just read it, and it's annoying me. Dragon Khan has 8 inversions. It held the inversion record amongst other coasters, before Colossus was magiqued out of the Tussauds' wands.

So, this is a place to disscuss all things on the box. What's your favourite program? What's your favourite Station? How is your favourite program doing in the ratings?Let's disscuss it here!OK... on the third of Janurary.. new series of Desperate Housewive and the fifth series of Celebrity Big Brother returns.Yay! I can't wait. -_-Edit: Wow I sound sad and pathetic!
  20. That's a good point really. Once the KFC chips have gone a bit cold, they taste awful.Bleugh.
  21. I love thrillers/ horror films. The only thing is, I can't watch them on my own- I need someone to kinda snuggle into (which doesn't happen very often at all I'll be honest with you). When you think about it, horror and thriller films can be romantic, as you could be like "OMG, I'm scared, protect me!!" Or something like that anyway.
  22. I love Tidal Wave's attitude (yes it does have human qualities). Like when you do go on it on a cold day, and obviously, you come off drenched- the music is still playing, and it just has a good feel good factor to it.The ride kinda takes the pee- hmmmm I don't really know what I'm on, but yeah.. hope someone can understand lol.
  23. I love cookie dough!!Yum.
  24. WOOO!! KFC!! Even though I don't eat meat, but yay!I actually was scared to go near WWH ride until I was about 4.When I went on it though, I loved it, I loved the quirkyness of it all. I'd like to see a return of rides that don't take themselves so seriously. It can get tedious when every ride is like "you're gonna die, you won't be able to walk after you've been on this."This is why I support the return of The Flying Fish; it's just such a relief to have a "fun" ride back.My dad and my auntie used to take it in turns to go in a car by themselves on WWH, and then we used to buy the photo of them sitting by themselves- they looked extremely sad/ pathetic. Bless them!
