  1. Ok so who else here secretly wants to go?
  2. Basically what everyone here has said Also the other reason Colossus can be painful on the legs is because the restraints tighten throughout the ride and they are heavy restraints! Even I can get discomfort from them and I'm only 5ft 2! One other thing which I know (due to being an ex Thorpe staff member) is that on Colossus, even though the restraint on the test seat may close ok, on the actual ride the staff may need to push it down a bit furthur in order to get a dispatch light. Best thing is like Sidders said - sit in the front of the car, and remove any bulky coats etc if possible, it can help. But by the sound of it he should be fine

  5. Guys...it's all about Mtn Dew (the proper US stuff) But I also love Pepsi and Coke (Pepsi is better though!) and Dr Pepper.
  6. Sounds like someone has had too much!!!! Caffeine!!!!!!
  7. Well according to Confuzzled in chat the other day, all 12 year olds have girlfriends
  8. Oh Sidders :') Loved how the topic title has been changed twice today Also I pinned this so it wouldn't get lost/can be easily found, why is it now unpinned?
  9. THEY'RE BOTH AWESOME B&MS BUT SWARM FOR ME, I LOVE THAT FIRST DROP, SO SCARY!!! AND THE SEATING AND HOW ALL SEATS GIVE A DIFFERENT RIDE EXPERIENCE. EVEN THOUGH SOME OF THE THEMING DOESN'T WORK ATM IT STILL BEATS INFERNO'S IMO, IT IMMERSES YOU INNIT. THE FIRST TIME I RODE SWARM I COULDN'T STOP LAUGHING IT'S SO TOTALLY EPIC.

Even though I've not done the version of N:ST with the new maze, I've voted for it. Because the Saw franchise personally does nothing for me (annoys me tbh) I found it dull, all I seemed to do was trip over things, and it's not even open all season hurr hurr N:ST is original and the maze sounds pretty good, scary and like it actually adds something.

^^ Questions To Thorpe Park thread? I've only seen 2 staff members in there on my visits, I'd like to think as its summer hols they'd have 2 I always panic a little about seeing my ORP when there's bag faff (without seriously thinking I'd actually miss it) But the fact that people are actually not getting to see their photos is really bad! Inbetween batching, the batcher could do things to help, such as ask people to get their bags ready to be put straight into the bag room, making sure all loose items are secured, etc. I dunno, might help speed things up if only a little

Well of course they wouldn't know, Nemesis is located approximately 156 miles away from where they are In all seriousness, staff are not allowed to say why a ride is down as it looks bad. In some cases, they won't know, which is hardly their fault. And in some cases they may know a hell of a lot actually Plus as Marc said, they can't tell you a duration because they simply can't predict or don't know how long it will take. I'm sure the staff had a great laugh playing this game! Sorry but surely you realise there was more than likely a reason behind this? At least they attempted to run the ride. And if you think as a customer you get it bad, think about the poor staff, getting abuse hurled at them/people whinging because a ride cannot run full capacity for reasons beyond their control. Trust me, they hate it as much as you do!

Thanks for the fire videos Jonny392 and steano! It looks pretty awesome, and I love how after it goes off you hear the people on the train scream Now, how long until people complain about the smoke that rises being dangerous incase they breathe it in or something daft

Life. People. When you give in to temptation, especially when it's something potentially bad for your health and costs money. And then feeling so ashamed of this that you don't want to tell your family so that they can help you...that's when they're not busy arguing and stressing over things! When you end up posting all this on a forum because the reality is, you don't have real, close friends anymore as they all moved on and have better lives. *However I would like to thank all those who have spoken to me and put up with my constant moaning recently* EDIT: Touché Will!

  20. Yeah I know what you mean but I was on about after the Olympics Like I said I can see both sides, but I can't really speak for those who are "against it" so I'll just ssh now
  21. See this is the weird thing - I'm proud to be British and I guess quite a patriotic person but but the ceremony didn't do anything for me, compared to things like the Jubilee and the Royal Wedding When they played/sung Jerusalem though My brother's always said that should be England's own anthem! On a different note - I have never, ever been able to look at that logo without thinking of Bart and Lisa Simpson...you know what I mean
  22. That is a good point about that area of London being in disrepair, but I think it's also that which some people have an issue with; I've heard many people who don't live in/near London say things along the lines of "I'm not benefitting from this/how does this benefit me?" I'm kinda stuck in the middle with this one I can see what they mean but...hmm... And yes, I forgot to say, the bit with the music going through the decades, I enjoyed that bit too

    LOL! Love it
  24. Well at first I didn't mind it...but over the months it has got on my nerves as it's just EVERYWHERE! So muchy hype during the build up and I almost feel pressued to watch it just because my country is hosting it. Grr. Opening ceremony was just random, especially at first. The Queen in the helicopter was a laugh though...and when she was caught picking her fingers I'm not really sure what exactly I was expecting but it just felt like a bit of an anti-climax. The torch/cauldron bit was good, shame the fireworks didn't last longer (and they ruined them by showing footage)...and then they dug Paul McCartney up yet again? Lawl! Was it me or can he just not sing? And his jaw looks like it's about to drop off. As for money...tbh, I'm still not clear on who exactly has paid, how, what exactly for etc...does it actually come out of our taxes? According to my brother it actually doesn't and is funded by London councils or something? Although it does make sense that we all have, one way or another, paid for it, seeing as it cost so dam much I cba to find out so don't shoot me down if I'm wrong or seem thick, k? So assuming we have...well tbh, I'd rather my money go towards the NHS or something more worthwhile (sounds predictable but it's my honest opinion!). I don't despise or begrudge it like some people do and I will probably end up watching some of it, but part of me can't help but think "We had a massive ceremony, 2 weeks of events (biggest sporting event, granted!) and then...that's it." OH and they're not even going to keep that McDonalds apparently? Fail So yeah, I neither love it or hate it for now, guess I shall see how I feel over the next 2 weeks!

I shall quote Liam's post from that poll here, as I thought it made an interesting point about Air's popularity in the coaster world vs the general public
