  1. There is always taxis outside train stations, at Staines they will know that a lot of its usage is people travelling to Thorpe Park. The fare from Staines to TP is £8 so if you're in a group of 4, £2 each. Simples!
  2. I believe its £12 or 2 for £20!

A 10 stone person isn't going to have any effect on a 10 tonne train

OH MAN that video is me and a few other TPM'ers bahahahah *hides*.Inferno Station 2007.And now I'm gonna run away!
  6. YourDay went down the pan. The Saw and Oblivion DVD's are run by Picsolve and personally I think Picsolve do better on-ride DVD's than YourDay.

  10. Supposedly you can. The cars have cameras attatched to the front of them but they still aren't working... a whole month after opening.

  12. The farms been flooded. What people seem to forgetting is the water that they infill, then has to be put somewhere else. The hotels going on the gravelly area near the car park entrance.

Ah yes that track was used during loading, it wasn't made the park though, it was a royalty free track called Early Civilisation 2. I sort of miss but the current music is awesome.

That would involve turning the lights off in the station!

If you've never ridden it then you may as well just queue for it, no two rides on Samurai are the same so it would be best to just queue for it and then make a judgement on it.

10 mins to reset and 2 test trains is the usual requirement.

    Stealth is down apparently.
  20. Well I guess it doesn't take a lot to make a better ride than Shockwave, they're equally as pants as each other Drayton Manor seem to be a park with good intentions but they have very strong competition from nearby Alton Towers and the Merlin Group in general. It's a shame because it has the potential to be very good, they just need to sort out the crap rides and install some decent things that aren't gimmick coasters. They could have a normal thrilling rollercoaster for once like a B&M Sit Down and it would be far better than all this upside down lift hill and stand up crap.

For the ride to lower it has to be in the 'zero' position which is basically the only spot where it can be raised and lowered, zeroing is when it finds the zero position to enable it to lower. You may have sometimes seen the ride swinging backwards and forwards a little bit before lowering, thats the ride trying to find zero. The reason you're not allowed to swing the pods during loading is because it can knock the ride out of the zero position and has to be reset because it will refuse to raise.
  22. I think G-Force is the worst ride in the COUNTRY, let alone the park. You have my sympathy.

You think Stealth is the most overrated? IMO Saw beats it to that positon by miles! In regards to striking a balance, a 205ft top hat is an element that not many people will get the opportunity to experience unless they go to the USA so I think they've achieved the interesting layout enough for average guests without the overbanked turns. Most average guests will just look at the top hat and think 'wow!' and thats plainly obvious by the huge screams on the TP Express when arriving and everyone sees Stealth. The overbanked turns would have made it better but then we would have just been slating it for being exactly the same as Xcelerator and half the guests would probably just think "those turn things are bare boring init bruv they dont do no loops or nuffin". If ya get my point. It may reek of lazy ride planning to you and a lot of other people on here but to the general public they achieved the iconic coaster and breathtaking experience they set out to give people, which is all the matters right?

Tbh they said the Flying Fish was back by popular demand.. did you see a queue of people complaining that they'd replaced it with a 205ft rocket coaster? They really do need to let go of the BMX stuff... its beyond tedious now.

    Sounds utter sh*t to me.
