To be honest, as they are going to be situated near the swarm, having the shipping containers (and it shames me to say this) will be better than having a flash hotel around that part of the park for 'theme sake' as you will probably see it quite clearly at that part of the park. Also for me the main reason I'm glad it's arriving is so I don't have to worry about getting home when Ministry Of Sound is on. It just means I can crash there (no pun intended) go to the park in the morning and go back home. It'll mean I can just attend the event that finishes after midnight rather than having to plan for it.

If the roof is not replaced and the ride is not spruced up I fear that they may not see a future for loggers in the medium/ long term. The beginning of the end if you get my drift. Surely the park know that the tunnel is a major element that makes the ride!

The character of loggers leap is helped because of the tunnel. There is variety in this log flume which in my opinion makes it the best I have ridden in the uk. Without it it'll be just another log flume! I hope if they don't replace it next season that they will in the future as that is a very good part of the ride I think and it won't be the same without it. I can see it now new ride for 2013....

Having noticed that I have been beaten to the post with the Alton Towers Ride Game, which I was thinking of starting a while back this does not appear so original as I was thinking in my head but however now we have the Swarm I am eager to see where it stacks up against all the rest. It's a fun/ annoying game/ poll but it's a way to pass the closed season Each of the rides from Thorpe Park starts off with 5 points each. Every contributor must add a point from one ride and subtract a point from another, for example I can add a point onto Saw: The Ride and subtract a point from Wet Wet Wet. If and when a ride hits a low of 0 points the ride is removed and the game restarted with each ride having the original 5 points except for any eliminated rides. After voting you must wait 3 turns before you can play again. If however 3 turns has not passed after 24 hours since your last vote you may vote again. I have included this part to keep the pace moving rather than it to 'dry up' as the beginning stages can be tedious. The attractions listed are those advertised on their website to be returning next season. Will your attraction survive? An update for you This park may have the paramount theme but paramount are not putting any money toward the project they are only consulting In the design plans - it is actually London resort co holdings which are in charge of it but have been given the rights to feature some of paramounts films - but only in the uk. Transformer will NOT feature a the rights are with hasbro and they are not consulting on the project. However Star Trek, paranormal activity, mission impossible and titanic are currently some of the attractions that will feature with others to follow but bear in mind this is due to the case that they are still 'going through the creative process of arriving at the most compelling attractions' Hope you find that interesting

I for one am going to keep a close eye on this - 20 mins away from where I live and 5 Mins away when I stay over at my dad's, the local press are praising it and it does already have a lot of backing locally. Those in the construction industry think it's extremely likely to be approved as the area it's being built in is in land that has had many proposed housing developments but have never come to be - so someone to come in and do the work for them will be a weight off their shoulders. It's also a much needed thing for that part of Kent - Excited much!

Wow! I had no idea they've been making improvements and OMG I wanna go back on it already - the length seemed just about right now - everything seemed to have more effects and the ending was just so much more intense that kept the momentum going. Thumbs up Alton
