Jobs At Chessington
No, that would not work as it would be a separate contract. If they keep you on over winter which is rare, they have to give you a certain amount of time away before the next season starts, which means you would loose all / if any of your perks, and would have to go through the entire 6 weeks trial all over again. Guess they're just trying to drum up applicants by lying on the details!

Jobs At Chessington
How long do you have to work at Chessington to get the staff magic pass? I see they're looking for people for Halloween only, and are offering the magic pass as a 'perk'. Prob just to get people to apply for a couple of weeks employment?? False advertising again!

New For 2015?
A lot of the farm is under water now too. Looks very odd, as you can still see the old jetty popping up through the lake.

Chessington Howl'o'ween
Watching it come together this year has been probably the easiest for them, as studios have been installing most of the attractions.

Chessington General Discussion
...and what they'll really do: Spruce up Tomb Blaster, overlook Bubbleworks (again), and forget about any kind of 'redevelopment' for Falls.

Next Big Thing - 2016 Development ?
Woodie hybrid, or Mack launch easy!! They are the two obvious ones, although I fear a more family park upgrade and hotel will come first.

Fright Nights 2014
Well it's early days on running these things and unfortunately, the weather causing water to run everywhere is always a nightmare. I'm sure H&S are pretty much all over this in regards to throughputs. Merlin are prob still in very hot water after allowing the Creaky Cafe (at Chessington) to have an enormous amount of guests in their Christmas walk through, when the building was only ever passed by H&S for a very small number (years before as the original cafe). At least risk assessment wise, these mazes will have newly assessed, updated H&S regulations, as we saw with the X:/ building restrictions last year, and if you want a vortex tunnel, Hocus Pocus Hall is it!

^ The tape on the stage which is for the performers visual cues etc used to be green. I know it seems silly, but green suited a jungle theme, the yellow is clearly someone saying 'well we got this stuff, let's just shove that down' = not a good standard as previous years. The whole stage looks really tatty now on it's 3rd year, look forward to the blatant penguins of Madagascar tie in next season!

the green net isn't very nice on the eyes is it? lol I always find the yellow tape all over the Madagascar stage this year ugly too, what happened to the jungle green colour from previous years? Two very easy to fix, but forgotten standards

New For 2015?
I honestly think with such a buzz over HELIX, Merlin will 100% be looking to install one, how could they not? Would be awesome!

Re-Rides
Disneyland Paris ran a whole re-ride certain rides a few years back, so it's certainly a Merlin sketchy rule. Sadly Chessingtons H&S team love little rules (that suit then)!

Greying / Blacking Out
There's nothing 'wrong' with grey outs on a coaster. Most of them put your body through its paces, and I find myself greying out on Inferno and Swarm every time. I do find if I'm dehydrated it makes it worse. Nothing to worry about, unless you blackout on Saw due to it being a bumpy poor mans coaster. ;-)

New For 2015?
All of those things will never happen. ;-)

Liseberg
Merlin are complete idiots if they don't marvel over everything this IP-less ride offers.
-
Stealth
Luckily they have the third train, which lost us the brilliant queue line grandstand. Oh wait-

New For 2015?
In regards to secret planning applications, Merlin obviously hate the fact everything can be seen online, although if they wanted anything secret, it would have been any of the coasters. This will be nothing of interest, otherwise we'd know by now. It wouldn't even surprise me if it was a H&S thing that lead to a big clear up!

Chessington General Discussion
They also had the 'big guns' in after that fire, which highlighted a lot of things that Merlin will never admit.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
Did it make you feel nervous? HK always gets me due to it's height, although as you say, once it's dropped it's pretty tame.
-
New For 2015?
Sorry, missed opportunity. ;-)
-
Safari Skyway
Although, why shouldn't it? They've had tons of use from skyway and with all the park changes, it could be a great new addition.
-
New For 2015?
Why not something groundbreaking in it's own right, with no IP thinly attached to it? As rubbish as The Smiler is, the marketing behind it pulled in loads.. Didn't it? Why do they feel the future of Merlin parks can only be bright with an IP?
-
New For 2015?
So is this the future of Thorpe Park? Does every new attraction need an IP to make it work? Hope whatever they choose is a timeless classic, otherwise they're going to have a park full of dead IP's that all need quick re themes (which Merlin SUCK at). Ding dong. This is something original at the door.

Chessington Howl'o'ween
There's an update on the parks Halloween offering.. http://www.themeparks-uk.com/chessington-world-of-adventures-guide/events/chessington-halloween.html Great to see Hocus Pocus returning! I can't wait to see all that awesome Projection mapping again. The first scene and the opening of the vault door was very well done.

SAW: The Ride
Well the trench isn't that deep, but it still adds to it. That drop is actually the ONLY good thing about that ride. Those pictures remind me of when there was hope for that ride, and excitement of what they were planning for the indoor section (a whole load of missed opportunity as it turned out.) Did you know that one of the first cars to test, actually stalled after that drop and sat covered n the trench, covered in green tarp for ages!
-
Rush
Well the waiting for re-ride is because the ride system needs enough air power to re-start (usually done whilst loading, so un-noticed), and then a shorter ride cycle was obviously interrupted by the Cycle stop button, which stops the ride in the usual way, unlike the E-stop which cuts the air completely.
