The Christmas AP Pass Bash
I will observe you observing the others at Hyde Park, I won't be spending money there either. However £20 for 11 hours on the Sunday seems a mighty fine deal, even if the only challenging ride seems to be the Sky Tower

Mitch Hawker Wooden Poll 2010
Well iof every coaster forum takes part, then TPMs influence will diminish. Although I do agree about their influence - 5 of them voted Troy as worst woodie in its opening year :@It is however, your chance to make sure that Thorpe, and other parks you have been to, get a decent representation. The Steel vote will be coming soon.Welsh Boy, the Helper should be straight forward enough. I haven't done mine yet, but will hopefully get it done at the weekend.

Sheepie, you aren't talking about someone you met yesterday, you have known him for almost two years. True you haven't actually met, but over that length of time you get a pretty good idea what a person is like - they would have to be totally insincere and very clever to keep up a 'personality' for that length of time, without showing 'chinks' of their true self. So, you like him, the next step would be to meet up and spend a bit of time together. The fact that you haven't already done that suggests to me that there is something you are wary of, so do it properly, and publically. Let him know that you think it is time to meet and get to know each other better, but not necessarily in 'that' way, and see how it goes. The trouble is that, at the moment, you say you are tortured by the situation, so you have to go for it, if only to release the torture. It might work, or it might not. If it is 'complicated' then that is up to both of you to work together to sort that one out - commitment is everything in life. The real deal is always that you can either live your life regretting the things you could have done, rather than living your life knowing that you didn't pass up opportunities. Both can cause the same amount of joy and pain, but surely it is better to have tried than not?Uhm, hope this helps.

Are You Obsessed With THORPE PARK?
Thats a good point Andrew, I would say that I make the effort to get to Thorpe because of the people rather than the Park. It simply doesn't have the 'magic' of other parks, and it only has 4 really good rides.

Are You Obsessed With THORPE PARK?
I am not obsessed with Thorpe Park but, as posted elsewhere, am obsedded with Theme Parks.

If it is warm enough, be sure to get a large whippy ice cream from the Waterfront Cafe ... I have yet to find anyone who has managed to eat it all ... massive !

Flamingo Land
You have timed that well because tonight sees the launch of Go Flamingo!www.go-flamingo.co.uk (shameless plug!)There are on ride photos on Velocity, Kumali and Mumbo Jumbo. Also on ride video on Kumali.Definately get to Mumbo Jumbo as early as possible. It's capacity has been shocking. Work is planned for the close season to improve it.Velocity is also a slow loader at times.Food wise, Fish and Chips at the top of the park, by the zoo entrance is the best place for cheapish food. There are other more expensive places - American Diner, Seaside and the Coachouse at the top of the park is awesome, although more expensive.Make sure you get on MJ, Kumali, Flip Flop, Cliffhanger, Navigator, Wild Mouse, Corkscrew. Can't think of anything else for now.
