Where has the Thomas gone? It has been a long time without him.
  2. Kevin replied to Marc's topic in UK Attractions
He's still got a lot more available than you seem to do on Really Rollercoaster!
  3. Kevin replied to Marc's topic in UK Attractions
It's still available to people though isn't it Dan; and even still at the end of the day it isn't a 'OMFG HOW BIG IS YOUR MERLIN PARKS AUDIO COLELCTION?!?!!?!111111' competition.IRL, it doesn't get you any further in life or social status, on how much theme park music you have.
  4. - Put a good sound system into Land of the Dragons with a sort of atmosphere loop with little announcements highlighting the fact you cannot smoke in LoTD.- Replace the whole Fury queue, with something that is a little more imaginative than a cattlepen - maybe something along the line of how the Dragon Falls queue is.- Remove Truckers, move Carousel up to where Truckers is and put another entrance into LoTD, maybe over the helix of Fury.- Redo the Dragon Falls rocks, and the Runaway Train rocks.- Reopen the Rodeo area and put a brand new one back in, to queue soak.- Remove Peeking and Xtreme Bungee, and do SOMETHING with it!

Samurai was too much of an issue to Engineering at Chessington, hence why the offloaded it to Thorpe. It wouldn't fit into Mystic now as it would need a total repaint, and the whole are would have to be reconfigured, and they would have to get ride of Peeking Heights, which of course is an amazing, exhilarating and thrilling ride.As much as everyone would love it to happen, unfortunately it won't.

The ride may have some dodge sensors, hence why.And for the speed that the train goes up, I'm pretty sure you can restart with guests, I just think you don't now what you're talking about. It's not restarted with guests simply because you're not legally allowed to if it error codes in a certain way, and I'd imagine on Colossus as it only has two different block points - the lift cannot be reset unless the brake block is clear as if the lift was reset and Train 2 wasn't cleared, then there would be a collision.
  8. The new area will be open for the start of next season I presume, however if they do the area how the plans show, it may be a bit longer!

Maybe you're getting the medical problems because of being upset about not finding a job yet, and I know it is easy for me to say but try and keep looking because it'll take your mind off everything you don't like in life, and you can meet new people and do new exciting things.Try anywhere for now Michaela, and I mean, anywhere. At the end of the day, money is money and make that your 'steady footing'. When you've got money coming in, you've got the ability to go see Rob, see your friends at Uni and go out and meet everyone else. It is hard at the moment for everyone but look everywhere, and do not make the mistake of looking down at jobs.I left school at 16 and went into College, however I started at McDonalds at 16 whilst at college, and I enjoyed work a lot more, I felt as if I was achieving something, which I was. I left college this January just gone, however by this time I had worked so hard at McDonalds, I had been promoted to Crew Trainer/Floor Manager and I was next in line for Shift Management training, who is the person running the store on a daily basis. I left at this time due to new store management however that has given me management experience and I can really apply this in my new job and even though I have the bare minimum in qualifications, I still have good experience and proof I work hard. I might have been lucky but when I started all I wanted was money for the summer, and even if that's what you want for a bit of time, then do something like that and you can still look for jobs, with the added bonus of money coming in.I wish you the best however the best advice I can give is get a low end job now so you've got money coming in, as at the end of the day, money is money!

  11. Thanks for the post about it Marc, but the only really annoying thing is that people I know will vote me down because I am very vocal about some of the post quality on here, and regardless of weather or not I am in the right or wrong, they will still vote me down etc, regardless of wether I write a lot of incredibly well informed posts on here, and if it gets to a point were people don't see this, I just won't post it. It's a forum, not a popularity contest! Thanks though for the quick reply Marc

Presuming you mean the one on the House Lawn.. one of them is a track from Robin Hood
  13. As much as it looks nice, that's all it seems to be; there to look nice. And I think the status thing is rather pointless as that's what Facebook is for (and most of us are friends with each other on FB, so it is kinda pointless. The whole forum layout is way too complicated, I can't click a button to 'view last post' in the topic, which is just annoying. And the reputation thing is a load of friggin' BS, I may be a complete tosser on this forum but it'll end in a reputation **** off, with people arguing over how much 'rep' they've got.At the end of the day, this is a forum for discussion, not a graphic design board with a few added random features that are in the end, superflous. TPM should be looking for better post quality instead of better graphic and functionality, and time is better spent pruning topics, posts and moderating current topics/posts.
  14. I hope they do keep the SRQ totally away from SAW; If there isn't a permanent queue (e.g Stealth) for it, it really won't work from anyones perspective. It slows down dispatch times just to change a number on a piece of paper. It doesn't decrease queue times, and it just pressurises the staff even more than they are already.

Very good to see the quality of posting has gone up and the general rubbish around the forum has gone down
  16. Beanoland RethemeJust a quick guide to what's happening and when ;)Rides and area will be closing on Sunday 20th September, with an event on that evening (Pie Fight, £1 entry). Hoarding will then be erected around the area, starting from next to South Admissions, wrapping round the outside of HBL, round across the are between Fury and Beanoland, up round past Snapping Crocodiles HBL unit, up past the HBL picker machine, past the old Samurai Flags, down the Service Road by the back of Dragon Falls, the wrap back across the middle of the Glade, past Madhouse, and finish at the Service Road.To prevent a dead end, the Service Road between the rear entrance from Mystic East into Beanoland will be opened up making a loop access from the Back of Mystic East, and ending at the old Samurai site, were the Extreme Bungee is now. There will be no access to Beanoland at all after the 20th September. The theming will be totally stripped down, and all rides dismantled and removed from the area to get refurbished, with the exception of Madhouse. The old Family Centre/Ice Age Attraction will be dismantled and scrapped, and the Splatupults will be removed. The park will close on 2nd November, and the rides will be ready to be reinstalled in the new area, and the new Disk-O Ride will be installed on the current location of the Dodgems, starting at the Beanoland Fountain, and finishing at the back of Dragon Falls Maintenance area. The Wave Swinger will be reinstalled at it's current location, and the Dodgems will be installed in the area currently taken up by the Splatupults/Fizz and Burp Catering unit. An insect walkthrough will be installed where the Marquee is, and the shop unit will be refitted. The Crazy Bus will be reinstalled on the current location of the Loony Ladder HBL unit. For animal side of it, a new walkthrough animal area will be installed at the back of the area, which is currently 'the Glade', believed to have different types of birds and other jungle animals. This means the new entrance will be located facing the Dragons Fury queue, currently where the Snapping Crocodiles HBL unit currently is. It is thought that the whole of the area between the old Samurai Site and the pathway down towards Transylvania will be totally repaved, as this was missed out in the time when Dragon's Fury was installed, and also that the HBL Controlled Cars will be removed in the process.

You don't go into a shop to enquire the price of, for example a tie, and see it says 'Price: 1', and then find out it could range from between £3.99 and £89.75.This, this is how stupid Thorpe have got. I don't see what is wrong with posting the proper time you will queue.
  18. Have to be 18 unfortunately.

I have to throw a spanner in the works and admit I found AS's a total doss, I lost interest so easily and ended up watching Peep Show on Youtube in most of my lessons as they were either ultimately inconceivable to understand (Economics) or 'write 'Merlin Entertainments in big letters' sort of level (Travel and Tourism).Politics was good, but I dropped out in January this year as it was so piss boring. I now have a full time job which I much more enjoy!

You can if it's turned to manual, but in automatic operation (ride can be brought down in manual if it gets stuck) the ride runs pretty much from op pressing start to cycle end, automatically. The ride does have forward speed dial, backwards speed dial and brake, yes.
  21. Kevin replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
That's interesting, but that's how it's done. End of
  22. No, that's a blocked off pathway for a generator
  23. Ice Age has now closed, Beanoland will be closing on the 21st September.
