There is no reason to feel unsafe. Regardless of manufacturer, all rides go through regular safety checks to ensure that they are safe for operation.

I enjoy X:/ No Way Out as a ride, but it really annoys me how it is just so dull now. If only they added some theming and special effects, there is the opportunity there for a world-class attraction. The opportunity is just being wasted at the moment with a lack of effort being put into making the ride experience half decent.

Starting going backwards. Standing in Tidal's Splash Zone on a hot day, or queuing 20 minutes to ride on a hot day?

Thorpe Park Trip Reports
:PThat would make me smile! I wouldn't be surprised if there is one to be honest, there seem to be an awful lot of forums out there for an awful lot of different things.

Chessington Music
:PI dread to think what would happen to you if Vampire closed!

It quite weird for me, but I've never really grown that fond of Beanoland, not compared to any other land in the park anyway. It was a great area, yes. But I would actually cry if Transylvania, Mystic East or Mexicana closed. Those areas hold some incredible memories for me. It's similar with Thorpe Park, I wouldn't be able to live if Canada Creek was closed. (Joking, although it would be a very depressing life from then on ).

Jobs At Chessington
I would apply, but the fact that the job is seasonal full-time is not doable for me. I can only work part-time at the moment.

Couldn't agree more. I absolutely hate it when ride operators just make stupid noises down the PA system, and unnecessarily shout things out. It completely ruins the atmosphere. In my ideal world, every ride station would have theme music, and every announcement would be pre-recorded, and only the occasional announcement made by the ride operator, only if necessary.

Thorpe Park Trip Reports
Although it's quite obvious that working at a theme park would be fun, it surprises me how some people think that it is one of the easiest jobs in the world. I know from other people, that it can be a very stressful, challenging and difficult job. That said, it can also be an incredibly rewarding job. Chris, you also have to remember that probably most people who work at Thorpe Park are only working there because it is local, and easy to get to. Theme parks probably isn't one of their main interests, but it is a local job that earns them good money. It's the equivalent of me working at Tescos, which is 2 minutes walk down the road.

It's a bit more complex than that.

Like me! :blink:No, only joking. I will only ride if the temperature outside is hot enough to get me dry again within an hour or so.

This Or That
Now now Peter, who told you this was the This, That or The Other topic? :blink:It would have to be Borat. AliG is good, but Borat is better. Bruno is just too far for me. 6,000 chocolate cup cakes, or 200 big chocolate cakes?

Queue Times
That's the way I do it! Either that or I don't think about the queues at all. So many people get worried weeks in advance of their visit because they think that there will be long queues. Just don't even think about it. If you get there and there are long queues, so what? It's not like it's a once in a lifetime trip for most of us on here anyway.

Yes, we would all love to know James. I've already seen you in the video , but it would fab if you could produce one of your trip-report style posts, with loads of juicy details about your day. It looked like such a great day, and I'm sure we'd all love to hear more about it.
-
Queue Times
I know you're being hypothetical, but I'm in one of those correcting moods. It would NEVER happen that every ride would have a 3 hour queue.

I agree with that. I don't know what love is for sure, and it really annoys me when people around my age go into a relationship really quickly, and can easily say that they love their partner without much thought. When people have msn names such as "oh _____ I love you so much! you are my everything! xxxx I couldn't live without you!" etc etc at my age, they obviously aren't thinking about the true meaning of love. And just to put that into context, that was a past display name of someone on my msn, who had been in that relationship for less than a day, and had known the person for less than week. How ridiculous is that?

Oh right. If my girlfriend was facebooking / texting her friends but not me when I had contacted her, then yes I would probably become a little paranoid.

Your Chessington
It would be great for people who like those sorts of rides as well, with pretty small queues. It would probably seem like an hour or ERT all to yourself!
