    FacebookSpotify or iTunes?

It's not the fact that they are ashamed, it's just that they are trying to advertise the ride in the most positive way. And not including units (kmph) is a primary technique.

I hear so many of those sorts of stories in queue-lines it's amusing!

I can't believe the price of Ultimate Fastrack has gone up to £60! When did this happen?

Unless you've got some sort of hydraulic launch system implanted into the ride somewhere!

Yeah, I have found that the last couple of times I have been. It's a shame though, for me it's a great part of the ride.

I agree. In the second car, you get another 15 seconds or so added to your ride time.

Also, I can't believe how much I love the body on the floor during the inline twist. It's get better every time I ride!

I agree. Until the other day, I had never ridden in the second car. It definitely is a better experience, because there is a much bigger tension build up when you get a talk from Billy. Also, the end of the talk from Billy and the car dispatch was perfectly timed on my second ride. He said, "Let the games begin", and after that the car was dispatched. It makes me so happy when little things like that happen!

There are some very nicely developed ideas in there.
  12. I will try and make it. It will be my first TPM meet up, and I would love to meet everyone. Although, I have a feeling I might be on holiday.

He's not talking to you. He was talking to Matty22 but the problem has now been rectified. .
  16. Well you need to present your entrance ticket in order to buy a bounce-back, and if you have an AP you won't have an entrance ticket.
  17. Paul replied to AHW's topic in Quick Questions
Because that system included printing free tickets, which as you can imagine didn't go well with Tussauds.
  18. You can't really call it bias, because it's just that Thorpe Park and Chessington have been developed to have different target markets. Calling Thorpe Park biased makes it sound as though Merlin are making it unfair for non-thrill lovers. Being biased and having a specific target market are two completely different things. In my opinion, I don't think Thorpe Park and Chessington should be more similar in terms of intensity of attractions. I think it's good that they have both been designed to cater for specific markets. And seeing as they are only half an hour away from each other, it's not like you have to travel much further if you like thrills/family rides etc.
  19. I didn't think you could buy a BB if you had an Annual Pass. And thanks tpkabz, I was thinking of getting a Merlin Pass but for the last four years I have only visited Thorpe Park. (And Madame Tussauds once). But then again, I suppose if I had the pass I would be more likely to visit more of the attractions.
  20. They should make a simulator ride similar to Star Tours where you are in a Quidditch match!

I agree. Today, the full permanent queue line was being used, and for most of the day it was queued up to the entrance. The queue from the entrance didn't take much longer than 50 minutes. Which on a peak day, isn't too bad at all.
  22. Paul replied to Mark9's topic in General Discussion
I find the SAW queue does move very quickly when the ride is being operated efficiently. Does anyone else find this?
  23. I did feel as though it was too good to be true at £10. But still, £15 is pretty cheap and in fact the cheapest entry ticket available. (Excluding APs).
  24. Lol. I didn't really mind waiting around with the little ones if they didn't want to go on the rides because they only visit once a year if that. I wanted to make their day good, seeing as I visit more like once a month and will have many more chances to go on all of the rides. But yes, 6 rides is pretty awful.Oh, and I decided today to get a Thorpe Park Annual Pass next time I visit. The bounce-back price has been increased from £10 to £15, so it would be far cheaper to get myself an Annual Pass. Up until now I've just been living on Bounce-back tickets. . Just thought I'd let you know .
  25. Went today, it was good and bad at the same time. The only reason it was bad is because I had to go around with family friends (about 15 of us) which meant that I couldn't really go on much. Thorpe Park itself was fantastic and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. All rides were available today, which I haven't experienced in a long time. When we turned up, the car park was 2 rows away from being full (including the grass overflow) and there were thousands of school kids on trips. From this we expected the queues to be unbearable, but surprisingly we managed to get on some of the big rides with a 30 - 60 minute queue.Below is my shockingly low ride count, along with the time I queued for each ride. Slammer - 10 minutesSamurai - 45 minutesColossus - 35 minutesSAW - First Ride 75 minutes; Second Ride 30 minutesVortex - 15 minutesWe arrived at the park at 11am and left at 6pm. Although it was a shocking day in terms of ride count, I had a good day with the company and will be visiting again in the next week or so with my friends anyway.
