PlainSweet or Sour?(Surely this topic is reaching the end of it's life now. The amount of times I have seen some questions being repeated is unbelievable).

It's a fair point, although there is still plenty for you to do if you don't like thrill rides....Depth ChargeRumba RapidsLogger's LeapRocky ExpressCanada Creek RailwayTime Voyagers

There obviously isn't a great safety hazard there, otherwise as I said earlier, they would have done something about it long ago.

Yes, but this information has to be informed to everyone in the queue in one way or another. Thorpe Park have done quite a good job in terms of being creative and imaginative. They could have had just a plain announcement relaying the information, but at least they put in the effort and tried to incorporate the information into the theming.

If there was even the slightest chance that a log could fall on the lift hill, the ride would have been shut long ago.

When it "slowed right down", I hope you mean it returned to boarding position, otherwise that could have been rather painful if the spinning wheel stopped but didn't lower.

I'm not going to lie to you.... the coaster is quite rough in places. The "thrill" part of the ride comes from the fact that you can't see where you are going. It is a great ride to try, although if you don't like the look of flying fish, then it's probably not for you.
  8. 10th time this year? Or 10th time ever?

That is a song and a half!

That's a very nice system you've got yourself there.

Try this song on loud speakers at a heart pumping volume. Crazy stuff!

They both make sense - you just have to read them carefully. And yay! I got it right!
  13. Surely it was be so much easier in the long run to write the actual ride names, I.e.: Colossus instead of Colly etc.

It's only a joke - related to Thorpe's reputation of poor reliability over previous years. There's no doubt that the problem is being improved considerably.

I hate rapids rides like Viking River Splash that have absolutely no theming.

It was also posted on the CWOA & Zoo Facebook Page.
  17. You can do this with nearly any ride except SAW now.Just adding to my trip report: One ride that I've never really thought much of before is Tidal Wave. But yesturday, for some reason I was seeing the ride in a whole new light. The theming around the queue and ride seemed better that I remember, and the actual ride itself was fantastic. I ended up riding it twice, because I enjoyed it so much the first time. And, I queued 35 minutes for it the second time, which I never would have done before.
  18. At 9.45am, Stealth's queueline was completely empty. We went on the ride with no queue, and stayed on for a second ride.

    Oh, I see. Sorry .

What are you talking about? The whole of that post was about Bubbleworks.
  21. Paul replied to Rich's topic in Nonsense
It does make sense, although it would make more sense if it read: What can't go down a drainpipe up, but can go down a drainpipe down?
  22. I would have thought the buzz of SAW would have died down by now, but today at 10am the SAW queue was 30 minutes, whereas pretty much everything else in the park was walk-on.
  23. The mist, although a little weak was definitely on at 9.30am. It must have been turned off.
  24. What time did you ride? They were working at 9.30am.
  25. Here's my trip report for today. Overall, a fantastic day. My best ever by far. I arrived at 9am, and got my AP. Heading straight into the park at 9.30am, we managed to get on 6 rides before 10am. All rides were available, and I only saw two breakdowns: Colossus which lasted approximately 20 minutes, and SAW which lasted approximately 40 minutes. As ever, all of the staff members I encountered during the day were exceptionally friendly and helpful. At long last, I have a ride count to take pride in, which is listed below. (Along with the times we waited for the rides in brackets). Colossus: 1 (30 minutes) Tidal Wave: 2 (Walk-on / 35 minutes)Slammer: 3 (5 minutes / Walk-on / Walk-on)Samurai: 1 (40 minutes)SAW: 1 (60 minutes)Logger's Leap: 1 (20 minutes)Rumba Rapids: 2 (Walk-on / Walk-on)Stealth: 2 (Walk-on / Walk-on)Nemesis Inferno: 1 (Walk-on)Rush: 1 (20 minutes)Vortex: 1 (10 minutes)Some other little touches that made the trip special were:1. I didn't see anyone smoking in a queue line. 2. No part of my day was ruined by anti-social behaviour etc. The sun was shining, the queues were bearable and the atmosphere was electric. Another incredible trip. Well done Thorpe!
