Your Thorpe Park
In my opinion, it moves quite quickly. Fare enough it's not the quickest in the park, but I wouldn't say it's the slowest either.

Tips for travel
It's actually ridiculous. It costs around £8 more to get public transport from my home to Alton Towers, than it does to get transport to Thorpe Park.

Tips for travel
Well, I have no idea how to get there, but I know that from Kent it takes 4 1/2 hours on a good day (which is about 1 hour from London). So you will probably be looking around 3 - 4 hours travel time (if the traffic is light).

Thorpe Park Trip Reports
Don't feel left out. I'm pretty sure you had already reached 1000 by the time I joined.

Tidal Wave
Effectively no breaks mmm...

Thorpe Park Trip Reports
Congratulations .

Tidal Wave
No. It would only make a difference to the ride if there was no water in the trough at the bottom of the drop . And that would be nasty.
-
Tidal Wave
:)The drop does often have very little water, if any.

Nemesis Inferno
Yeah, the main queue is entitled such for a reason. It should be where everyone queues to get on a ride. The idea of single rider is to use occasionally if you are on your own, and there might be some seats to fill. Not to use all the time, just to cut queues, when like Tim said, other people are waiting very patiently for 45 mins+.

SAW: The Ride
Yes, go up to the counter and ask for one.

Tidal Wave
You do realize that the picture of Tidal Wave on Google Earth could have been taken when it had broken down?
-
Tidal Wave
Oh right. Well yes, obviously the drop usually has water on, (but occasionally doesn't), but as far as I am aware, the U-Bend has mostly been operating without water since opening in 2000.
-
Tidal Wave
Are you talking about the U-Bend, or the small part after the chain release?

Is the Uk Theme Park Industry going down the drain?
Yes, but when Elliot said a few posts back, that the park is very often reaching full capacity, this is obviously untrue. I am guessing he meant that the park is often very busy.
-
Tidal Wave
Exactly, it would be empty because it always is!
-
Tidal Wave
If you're talking about the U-bend at the top, then that part of the ride doesn't require water to operate.

Tidal Wave
http://www.thorpeparkguide.com/parktour/am.../tidalwave2.jpgI love finding early photos like this, when the ride was so clean and sparkly - and the effects were working. Is that sky real? It looks awfully blue!

Is the Uk Theme Park Industry going down the drain?
Yeah, it's only happened twice this year.

Your Thorpe Park
Personally, I would love to see a HUSS Topple Tower installed in Ranger County / Calypso Quay.

There are many Top Scans in travelling fairs, but I have no idea if there are any other installations in any UK theme parks.

Britain's got talent
But why should they put him through? There are thousands of drummers in Britain, so why is he any different?
-
Britain's got talent
And like that boy who was playing Wipeout on the drums. I know he didn't make it to the semi-finals, but he got through the first round, and anyone could have done that. And I'm speaking as a fellow drummer myself, it's not the hardest song to play.
-
Britain's got talent
I agree with that 100%. It's like you read my mind .
-
Your Thorpe Park
I agree. Really I think Thorpe Park need something that many people haven't seen before, perhaps a flat ride that would be the first of its kind in the UK.
