  1. Purple Gorilla, if you really want to know there are various POV's on the web. You can't really see much, but if you watch them in HD you can see a whole lot more.
  2. Ok. I will keep an eye on it.
  3. It sounds like Stealth, Logger's Leap, SAW and Slammer were closed all day, whereas Colossus, Rush and Quantum were only closed for part of the day. Alas, the day is not yet out. Who knows what will happen next?
  4. It doesn't say that anymore. It just says: "Welcome to Thorpe Park. We are now open for the Main Season".

    Rush

Definately. I have only ridden Rush on what seems to be the shortest setting. Everytime I get off the ride I think, Wow. What a great ride. Make it longer, and it could be the best ride in the park!
  6. Hopefully. I think given a week to sort everything out, Thorpe Park will be back to their good old selves.
  7. That's the thing to do. Give Thorpe Park a little bit of time to sort themselves out.
  8. What's happened to Slammer? .
  9. The only time I won't visit is if all of the major coasters are down. Also, in terms of flat-ride availabilty, if Slammer, Rush and Samurai are all unavailable at the same time, I won't bother going.
  10. I can sense the sarcasm. .
  11. Two of my favourite rides are Stealth and Slammer and the last few times I have been they have been unavailable. I won't be visiting until they are better again.
  12. I can accept that it's a new coaster, and that it is very likely to have teething problems on the opening day. But if Thorpe Park expected this in anyway, is annoys me how much advertising they published, when there is a possibility that the ride will be unavailable for a long time on opening day.
  13. I just think it's absolutely ridiculous. Such a big build up, and the ride closes for the majority of opening day.
  14. In no way is the news report a spoiler. It just shows you everything you have probably already seen before, (apart from the view of the offload platform).
  15. I missed it. I will look on BBC iPlayer .
  16. Good ol' Thorpe :)It would be great, but I think that the harsh reality now is that Thorpe Park's target market and ride types would make this design impractical and old-fashioned, as it were.
  17. Lucky beetroots indeed lol. I can't wait to get on that ride. And yes, I presume that was filming for the advert.
  18. Yes there is a topic for it.
  19. It was posted yesturday, but hey! Thanks anyway.
  20. Indeed I was. I loved the map last year, but couldn't have hated the pre-2008 maps more . One of my favourite maps was the 2001 map, which was very carefully created and appeared realistic at the time .
  21. I do love this style of map. Obviously, most of the rides and/or attractions are heavily exaggerated, but I must admit I love the "cartoony style". I hated the style of map before 2008, with the horrible modern slimline look. All of the rides looked really boxy, and the whole thing looked as though it was tossed together on a computer in a couple of minutes. But yeah, I'm loving the 09 map!
  22. I presume so. Although it has not been spotted yet in any pictures, guests will need to know the queue length, and a LED board is probably the easiest way to do it .
