  1. I visited Thorpe Park today, and have some information regarding ride closures and availability, that you may find useful. 1. Slammer was running complete tests runs successfully throughout the day. I can see it possible to be opening tomorrow. (I think today might have been the first day with so many successful test runs). 2. Stealth completed 2 successful test runs during the day. They obviously have the new part, and may possibly open the ride tomorrow. 3. SAW:The Ride ran smoothly throughout the day, however the ride did experience a couple of minor technical delays, each lasting around 15 minutes. 4. Loggers Leap suffered a technical problem for most of the day, however opened at around 2pm. Also, the average queue times for the day were as follows:SAW: The Ride - 20 minutes. Colossus - 15 MinutesNemesis Inferno - 20 MinutesSamurai - 10 MinutesRush - 5 MinutesVortex - 5 MinutesZodiac - 0 MinutesQuantum - 0 MinutesTidal Wave - 0 MinutesLoggers Leap - 10 MinutesRumba Rapids - 0 MinutesCarousel - 0 MinutesDetonator - 10 MinutesTeacups - 0 Minutes(Slammer, Stealth and MMBananaBoat were all closed today). Hope this is helpful .

    Logger's Leap

It's anyones guess. I would say that it has a good chance. It has been filling up this week, but I havn't seen any boats going round the track as of yet.

    Slammer

When Slammer first opened, I noticed that even if the park was crammed with people, the queue for Slammer would only be around 15 minutes, whereas Colossus was around 90 minutes. Why does anyone think this was?
  4. I love the ride! . It is a great water ride, and I expecially love the tunnel part with the purple fountain! I also love the view of Stealth after exiting the tunnel. Does anyone know what I am referring to when I say that I love the sound effects in the tunnel, the sort of popping and strange whistle noises? I love them and everytime I hear anything similar, I think of Rumba Rapids! And no, I havn't seen the queueline this year. I will take a look soon.

    Slammer

Judging by the amount of testing currently being carried out, I would get that there is quite a good chance that Slammer might be up and running by the weekend. But as you said, no one knows. It could be tomorrow, it could be monday.
  6. I am going tomorrow. I am going to be a true optimist and hope to ride Stealth and Slammer tomorrow , but judging by previous posts, it looks like they won't open until at least Saturday. Oh well, one can hope. . Also, does anyone know what is going on with Loggers Leap at the moment? I saw a couple of days ago that it was filling up with water, but I havn't seen anything since. I hope it opens soon, makes a great addition to the ride line-up.
  7. I can totally see your point. Everything is over-priced, but hey. What can we do?
  8. Don't think so. You would have to ask someone with an AP to find out.
  9. I know they're not actually merchandise, but I am a great fan of the "Unlimited Re-fills for £4.99" cup deal. I always get it and share between 2 people, which saves so much money! We usually re-fill it around 8 times in a day . Plus the cup is a nice memory to keep.

    Samurai

I must be the only one here on the forum when I say that I actually love the current colour scheme! I think it's great.
  12. The runaway train is called El Diablo. I love Furious Baco, great ride .

    Forum Posts

I don't mind the occasional spelling or gramatical error, but when you find posts with a spelling or grammar mistake in every other word is can get quite irritating. There is a spellchecker now built to use just before you post .
  14. I suppose so, I think maybe 10 minutes. But for everything else in the park, walk-ons would be fab. .
  15. Wow. So from that I guess the queues were mostly just walk-ons to around 10 minutes.

    Rush

I think the more times you ride it, the more fun and the less scary it becomes.
  17. Oh ok. Still, it would have been great to have the camera half way down the first (main) drop.
  18. I suppose it would have been too difficult to have a camera positioned vertically, half way down the first drop.
  19. I always try to look at the camera on any ride but I always forget. Especially on Stealth .
  20. Good. Hopefully Logger's Leap will be back up and running soon. I know it's not a thrill ride but I love it and a visit to Thorpe Park isn't complete without a ride on it .

    Rush

It's a great sensation actually. To be honest, at first I didn't want to go on it because I hate the feeling of swinging that you get on Mr Monkeys Banana Ride, but very surprisingingly, you don't feel that on Rush at all. I suppose it must be because its a powered swing, and not just a free-fall one. Anyway, you must give it a try.... it doesn't make your stomach go at all, (well it doesn't mine anyway). It is nothing to fear, it is just great fun!
  22. Tidal Wave is back up and running . I can still see Slammer on that unavailable rides list , to be honest I don't really want to visit again until Slammer & Stealth are both fixed, I love them so much and havn't ridden either of them for ages .

    Rush

That is exactly what I find with Rush. I don't find it scary at all, just pure fun! It's exactly the same as Nemesis Inferno for me.
