Vortex
It could have been. I suppose it just depends on the duration of the ride.

Vortex
Vortex doesn't have different settings. The ride operator starts the ride, and then stops it when appropriate. There are no specific settings, such as on Samurai for example.

Vortex
Thanks, I will. Talking of the despatch area for Vortex, that's another thing I hate. I know there isn't really another easy way of doing it, but I don't like the way that if you are one of the last to get put into the area, you find it hard getting a seat with your friends or the group you are with. I always seem to be one of the last to get in.

Quantum
I strongly reccomend anyone who hasn't ridden it or has chosen not to ride it because it looks boring, just to give it a try. It is a great ride, is much better than it looks, can be quite a thriller and is so underrated. A great addition to a day at TP!The same goes for every ride at TP, don't knock it until you've tried it!

SAW: The Ride
Thanks for clearing the whole Rumba thing up Rich.

Thorpe Park Merchandise
I didn't realise until after I left the SAW store, that the container that holds the Syringe Pens is designed like the needle pit in Saw II.

Park Theming & Effects
I noticed that as well. I was reading the last few posts but couldn't find anything that might have got it locked....Also, in terms of theming and paintwork, I think Thorpe Park are doing a good job on most of the rides. Many of us saw on the opening day that many little bits and pieces had been improved. You have to bear in mind that there are a lot of things to do at Thorpe Park, and they can't possibly deal with them all. But yes, as mentioned earlier, I do agree that it is a bit silly that the entrance sign still says Tussauds. I would have thought that this was quite an important thing to change.

Closed Rides
When I visited last Friday, Logger's Leap was not on the unavailable list. We went over to the ride around 10:30pm, and they said that they were still testing it. I looked at the track just before the tunnel around 1pm, and the water was over flowing out of the track, and the logs were piled up at the entrance to the tunnel. When I returned at 3pm, Logger's Leap was open and running well. Have no idea what happened to it, but it seems to be having some on and off problems at the moment.

Vortex
I will listen out. Thanks.

Quantum
I have found that the first time you ride it makes your stomach drop, because it is more rough than you think it is going to be. But on the second time round, it's a pleasant and more enjoyable ride.

SAW: The Ride
I think SAW might be open by Friday. I'm no phsycic, but I think they are . I don't think it will be a very long delay.

SAW: The Ride
£1. Quite a bargain I thought.

Quantum
I think people who havn't ridden it have very low expectations of it. I would reccomend a ride, and you might be pleasantly suprised.

SAW: The Ride
They have some with SAW: THE RIDE logo on, and I think I saw some with Billy's face on them.
-
SAW: The Ride
Oh well. All I know is that I would visit the shop whether the ride is open or not.
-
SAW: The Ride
I can understand where you are coming from (most people will ride and then buy a souvenir to remember their ride), but to be honest, I would just go over to the shop anyway. Remember, they also sell non-SAW things like Chocolate and drinks, so Thorpe Park will keep the store open whatever the weather for maximum profit.

I am a silly billy. Thanks.

SAW: The Ride
When we first walked into the building in the SAW queueline, I said to my friend, "Wow, this looks just like the corridor where that man got shot in the head by a rifle on Saw 1. Ow, they should have put a rifle in here!" 2 seconds later. Bang! Lol.That just shows you that Thorpe and Lionsgate just think of every little detail when designing the theming of the ride.

Vortex
When the seats spin on Vortex, is that just momentum or is that actually controlled by a motor?Because if it is just momentum, the rides are likely to be different every time. However, if it's controlled by a motor, then yes, the amount of high and low swings would be equal.

Stealth
I know what you mean. I havn't got any news exactly, but when I went on Friday and Sunday, Stealth was testing without dummies (and looked as though it was testing successfully). This is a sign that the ride is close to opening, but I have no idea when it will open.

Vortex
This is exactly the reason why I adore Rush so much more! But don't get me wrong, I do love Vortex most of the time and I think its a fantastic attraction.

Quantum
I do enjoy Quantum when I go on it, but I wouldn't queue over 20 minutes for it. Also, when I rode it on Friday, I noticed that there was a strange cracking noise that isn't usually there, and on the full swings, the ride threw me around a bit and hurt my back. But when it isn't like that, it is a great ride.
