Primark & H&M for my casual stuff - jeans, t-shirts, short sleeve shirts etc. Next & M&S for work related proper clothes!
-
I don't think it's doable for me for the day attendance but if it's Ok I may make an appearance at the meal? :-)

Is the toilet roof the next Loggers tunnel-gate?

Yay, brilliant review! (A mod may move it to the Meets topic, I'm not sure! ) Agreed re: Peaj and his wallet - that would've completely ruined my Day but he completely took it in his stride! Glad it wasn't just me that couldn't handle all those Swarm re-rides! I had the same concerns for myself! Sidders had me in stitches after about 2 minutes of meeting him, he literally ran off into the park and was like a kid in a sweet shop, bloody brilliant I did witness him hugging the B&M goodness out of an Inferno support too! Love reading the reviews of the day, can't wait for more and photos too when the rest of the members get back home!

Not majorly exciting, but I did notice that both park-wide queue time boards have been removed - the one at the "entrance" to Lost City) and the one next to Pizza Hut/opposite Detty, to be replaced with newer versions I assume!
-
Surely SAW Alive will disappear for 2014... agree about the SBNO rides - Fungle Safari, the railway, Pirates 4D (although you'd do well to know that used to be there!) - just doesn't look good to me!
-
Thoroughly enjoyed my two rides on Stealth yesterday, was tres windy too which always gives your face a battering Pleased the Stealth Smoke is back - and there appears to be a new announcement when you return to the station "Wow! What a race" or something similar.
-
Peaj took a lot but he's at AT today!

Wow, what a day! First off, many thanks to Peaj for being a great host, organiser, and all round nice bloke, and thanks to Thorpe Park to letting us have the opportunity in the first place! Of course thankyou to everyone on here for making me feel SO welcome, what a bloody nice bunch of people you are! Particular hellos to Peaj, Michelle, Sidders, Dodge, Pluk, IanNem and Mr. Fish for various chats during the day! There were others but I can't recall forumnames right now with 30+ people, lol - how does Peaj do it?! I won't do a full trip report as I'm sure there'll be plenty of those, but here are my bulletted highlights! I can't WAIT to see the photos that Peaj took! Sidders running off at the start of the day as he couldn't hold in his excitement Nemesis Inferno lights, mist and station music being back Stealth, just Stealth, always Detty still being epic - even if I was on it by myself as all the other TPMers got on the cycle before Depth Charge! Keep it retro... Being decorated with bags prior to Michelle & Alice riding Swarm Backwards Walk ons all day! Longest queue was getting our bags after ERT! General hatred and mocking of the Crash Pad Riding Storm Surge with Michelle, even if no-one else wanted to! Peaj and his whistle usage - well prepared! My melting face on the SAW photo - how I managed it, I don't know. Almost made me buy it... Loggers #braveittunnelless - our boat was so weighed down, haha. If I wasn't friends with pluk before the ride, I was after! Oh, and being fired at with the water cannons with Steven and Co. Swarm ERT after the park had closed... even if I did only brave 2 rides round as I was feeling a little ill after being on park for 10 hours! Luckily there were others to take my place! Sorry for that but I didn't want to make myself ill, wouldn't have been good for the PR shots Hearing YMCA, Dancing Queen, Reach and Macarena in the Swarm station was amaze, I'll probably never witness that again! Seeing the park empty with no general public - spooky! As I say, thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome - if anyone is considering going to a meet and not sure, do it! The TPM lot are a friendly bunch of peeps, and as Dodge said - it's nice being able to talk about coasters and stuff whilst queuing instead of feeling awkward when with friends who aren't perhaps quite so erm, enthusiastic, ahem! Thanks again to Peaj and Thorpe Park for the opportunity - anyone who's that way inclined, please do add me on Facebook at www.facebook.com/mathewwood as it'd be cool to keep in contact with you guys off the forum too - I know there are some Portsmouth and Farnborough-ish locals about Looking forward to the photos and full reports as I say - oh and glad that Peaj got this Annual Pass sorted after his wallet deciding to go walkies whilst on a ride! Enjoy AT today, look forward to the photos as I say - and I'm sure you'll see me again at another meet!
-
I can't find anyone :-D Currently the park-side of the turnstiles!
-
Ah nice - do love Farnham, even if those pavements are too small to walk on See you shortly!
-
Leaving shortly from "sunny" Farnborough
-
I would assume that's to do with balancing the ride?
-
Just browsing the THORPE PARK website - they now say "over 30 thrill rides and attractions"... I guess they must count the side stalls as attractions
-
At risk of going too off topic - I'm fine with Saw, Stealth, Swarm, Colossus, Nemesis etc... but it's the "fairground" style rides that I can't hack - agree with the Afterburner comment! I tend to avoid things like waltzers too as they just do me in... it's more a case of making me feel queasy for a while which puts a dampner on the day, I've done the rides before and they aren't my thing so tend to not bother now. So yeah - Vortex is a big no-no for me... maybe I can stomach Samurai now it's on a lame setting!! Detty doesn't make me feel ill, and weirdly, Slammer doesn't either! Cheers Ryan for confirming my X sickness isn't completely abnormal I think the fact the park was empty and we'd just been on Colossus 3 times in a row didn't help matters
-
Thanks for the submarine clarification it was the tail at the end that threw me
-
Maybe Depth Charge's whale (?) on top will be refurbed for next year I'm a Depth Charge fan, wouldn't like to see it go to be honest - it's a classic, and pretty harmless
-
There's one here I found!
-
That zeroing issue will be good fun during peak season if it's not sorted! I'm not a Samurai fan per se... it's resulted in my Burger King making a reappearance a couple of times in the past
-
What Mer said - excellent organisation Peaj! Looking forward to Friday, hope the sunshine continues till then!
-
BBC Weather is saying between 7 and 9 degrees centigrade on Friday... so I guess it could be worse...!
-
I agree to an extent - but I can't see what Thorpe are going to do to make those shipping containers look anything less like shipping containers in the mean time I will gladly be proved wrong by Merlin though
