I wear them most of the time in lessons at school because I need them to read the board.

No it's not. It was a maze at Universal's Halloween Horror Nights last year.

What a great idea! How about"Please stand clear of the orb (gates), your wish (Ride) is about to be granted (begin).
  4. I would post if I knew how to do the spoiler thing.
  5. It's alright for some isn't it?And yeah Surrey rules!
  6. Hmm.. I am sad to say that I have never been to Fright Nights.*Ducks and hides in secure bunker*
  7. This is true, they probably have more important things to worry about though.
  8. I really wish I could have ridden this at its prime because from the sounds of it all the effects came together in a great way. Shame they could not be maintained.

...We apologise, Slammer is currently experiencing some technical difficulties.Argh, I am currently writing a script for our house drama things this year (everyone must write one) and it is sooooo long and boring!
  10. Yes, unfortunately. Believe me when I say I have tried to up this but with no luck.
  11. I really enjoy Stealth and it is my joint favourite ride in the park with Colossus. Every time I come of it I always think WOW! I think that it was a great addition to the park overall.I was wondering if anyone could explain to me exactly how the launch works. I know that catch car hooks onto the train and pulls it along but what happens with the hydrogen (?) fuel tanks and the accumulators. Thanks in advance.
  12. Hey everyone, my name is Daniel and I am from Surrey. My "home" park is Thorpe but I visit Alton Towers every other year. I am 13 but have been regularly visiting forums and generally being enthusiastic about rollercoasters since I was 10 . I hope to be quite active on this forum and will hopefully learn a lot about the parks. I have a mild form of OCD which can be quite annoying at times but I manage to get on with life and I am very pleased with how it has turned out.
  13. Deary deary me.I really don't like this site and much preferred the old one. It seemed a lot more simplistic and east to navigate. I think all of the cartoony people are repulsive and makes the site look horrible. Also I had just been listening to some music and when I went over the social bit I very nearly came of my chair!I am sorry, it just looks like they are trying to appeal to what they think of their target audience. I doubt it is aiming for the over 30's and being a teenager it certainly does not appeal to me.the reviews are pointless as well because they are all just saying how amazing the ride was. "Nemesis Inferno is a sick ride" Oh God I certainly hope not. I like that ride!
  14. I have always thought the Thorpe staff to be quite good, especially some of the Stealth operators. They are really good for telling queue jumpers to leave. Had one instance though, on Colossus I think where a guy and a girl were flirting talking so they were doing the restraints really slow.
  15. I think that when all the effects on Inferno are working it can be a great ride. However even without effects I think it is a good ride. A must-ride every visit. I especially like the drop curving round and then gracefully rolling through the loop, it looks and feels great. Finally I think the music on this ride is top-notch, especially the station music because I just love the bass and the twinkly (Not the best way to describe it but oh well) music.
  16. I actually quite like the repaint to Sonic Spinball. I think it looks a lot more fresh and clean.

To be honest it is not the sick feeling I don't like. I just don't like facing down from really high if you know what I mean.
  18. I really like the sound of Colossus' lift hill, it really sounds metallic and great.Love the sound of Nemesis Inferno leaving the station (clunk, clunk, clunk) and also the music played in the NI station. The air tanks on Rush, I love the whoosh sound.Stealth launch sounds great, as do the brakes.Like the noise Tidal Wave makes when it is going down the hill and when it hits the building thing. I underestimate that level of sound every time.

I also agree with the people above.I am absolutely fine with roller coasters but flats are not so good.I'm fine with all of them except Rush and Detonator. I don't like Rush because of something which happened when I was around 6. It sounds really stupid but here goes.I went on the Black Buccaneer at CWOA and absolutely hated it (was quite young). After the ride cycle completed I really wanted to get off but as there was no queue the ride op asked if we wanted another go. Inevitably everyone said yes and I went through the pure terror yet again. It is a shame as I really think that Rush would be fun but I can't bring myself to go on it.
  20. I really like the Colossus music as it really builds up an atmosphere and makes me excited. I sometimes listen to it at home to get my TP fix!I also really like the Nemesis Inferno music, especially the station. That bass is awesome, really puts me in the zone if you know what I mean.
