It's amazing how every single addition needs to be a "WORLD'S FIRST" even if it isn't (*cough*AngryBirdsLand*cough*) at a Merlin park... Are they so nervous that anything less than that will make people visit? It is something else to blame Swarm for?

Bit random to have two Dodgems, but I doubt the park can afford much else... The story of all the independent parks really, they can't really take the risk of big investments as no-one visits them enough for them to afford a big investment...

I swear this got cancelled at some point last year... We've heard pretty much nothing of the project since there were some dodgy dealings going on about two years ago, plus other parks have sprung up in Poland (Energylandia for example popped up last year out of nowhere)... No idea if there's any recent updates on this one though...

Unfortunately, it would appear that the belief (especially after Swarm's apparent 'failure' for being crap and unsuccessful) that IPs are the future will not dwindle anytime soon... Given that Towers created Smiler's branding soon after, you do think what Merlin Studios do with their time...

Evidently, the so called 'failure' of Swarm has led to Thorpe's desperation in regards to picking up whatever IP related thing they can grab... Ironically, this would probably be more suited to Chessie... Most uninspiring UK season ever...

Might be, even if it is Efteling and they are notorious for rides opening late, one would hope B&M will make it less of an issue... Besides, it'll probs be more fun to take the risk and go for Winter Efteling instead...

I was talking about the enthusiast community... Who else would travel the world for one solitary cred? (And at least, this will be something substansial and not a Wacky Worm) And I'm sure the Irish GP will be reasonably excited by it as well, given they have nothing of actual note there... But it could well affect the UK GP as well, perhaps changing the current out-dated and quite simply wrong view of wooden roller-coasters being old hat...

Nothing worse than enthusiasts playing the "I know all the things, but as I can't tell anyone in a public forum, I'm just gonna leave unsubtle hints towards the fact that I know something that you don't" game... If Thorpe were building something, we'd have seen planning permission by now... Given they needed it for Angry Birds Land last year, which consisted mostly of stuff that wouldn't affect the outside sight lines, Thorpe don't have the luxury that Towers does without having to submit everything clearly...

It's not going to be inverted, but likely to include inversions (Gravity Group did Hades 360)... Just a bit of vague over-exaggeration to the public who won't have the foggiest about the US parks with RMCs... I doubt even Tayto realise how much UK excitement is being generated for this... Everyone will be over there at some point... Just goes to show what a smart investment can provide to a park...

Of course there will be demand for it, we have people who will buy the Ultimate Fastrack packages even though the queues are 20 minutes long max... The scheme prints money... But, will it leave a bad taste in the mouth of other guests? More than likely... If Thorpe also sell the Fastrack then I'd expect a wave of negativity to wash over them, what with their history of over-selling... The fact that Seastorm has a Fastrack queue sickens me anyway, similarly for Truckers and Jumbos...
