  1. Also there were pictures of the official plans (but only a small part of them)...
  2. Considering we don't know the actual layout, how can you tell if it's not much better than Oblivion's?
  3. And this is where the balance of positive reactions comes from... Those who are using RnR, see it as a means to jump the normal queue... So if you've not been stood in a slow moving queue for an hour because of Fastrack and RnR taking the precedence over you, then of COURSE you'll be positive about the system... It's a similar problem with Disney trialing no standby queue for Midway Mania, in some normal guests they are unable to actually use the attraction at all because they don't have Fastpass+ etc...
  4. Wonder how much Efteling are throwing at this... If it looks like the concept art (something Efteling tend to fulfil very well actually), then it'll look absolutely amazing... This next door to Flying Dutchman too EDIT - Behind the scenes video blog ahoy!
  5. Is it actually medically possible to get a stomach bug (rather than a flu bug) just from standing out in the cold? Of course, when regarding illnesses, I was referencing to actual serious ones, or indeed even things like migraines and the like which can escalate to something else if the conditions are correct... Basically anything that could occur as a result from sitting on a ride (or anything that enduces forces upon the human body to higher levels than that it is used to) constantly for ages and result in the person potentially becoming seriously ill... Of course, if Jamie's case gets a good result, I'll sue Blackpool for building Valhalla
  6. Here's the issue... When you enter the park's property, YOU become THEIR responsibility... YOU are now a paying guest and the park is liable for your safety... Why else is it that when things go wrong, the park are the ones deemed at fault even if it was down to guest stupidity at the end of the day... So actually, because the park allowed Fred to re-ride Alpina Blitz several times without getting off, they are technically liable for the fact that he was ill... If he suffered any damage from this situation, then he could potentially sue the park for negligence for guest safety... Just remember, parks create these rules to ensure the safety of YOU, the paying customer/guest... Because if they don't ensure the safety of their guests, they will be in a lot more trouble than it's worth... I've done a fair few bouts of ERT in my time, and the ones I enjoy the most have been the ones where I've had to run around and 'queue' again... My ERT on Twister this year involved no getting off, and as a result I actually felt ill after about 30 minutes of constant riding, which could have easily spoilt my day and others if I had kept going... BUT because I was the park's responsibility and it was them who gave us the ERT, who do you think is liable if I was ill?
  7. Nice to see Thorpe solving the problem of long queues by throwing out priority passes to all complaints...

    Scarefest

Tis on the Facebooks now... The only area that people will probably (s)care about...
  9. G-Force's restraint still attempts to sever you in two, but the newer models appear to have solved this issue... I wouldn't say no to an Abismo clone actually, I found it surprisingly fab... But the throughput for Thorpe wouldn't be suitable...

    Slammer

Not pulling them down tight enough the if you're slipping out...
  11. The launch is fine, it's just everything the follows makes it one of the worst coasters ever made... I'll always remember that survey woman we encountered Mark, and her reaction to our destestable 1 rating we gave Baco...
  12. Well, when the ride officially opens next year, it might still just be a concrete tower... But in 2016, it'll be finished, and if Fluch and Schlange's towers are anything to go by, it's gonna be lush...
  13. You mean a Screaming Squirrel? Yeah, there's a reason Gardaland spited theirs, it was dreadful... Agreed, if the park is to actually move forward, it needs more things that are actually different to the majority of the rides there... Or somewhere guests could actually chill out for a bit, perhaps via some form of transport to get there, and it could have some animals and stuff, like a farm...
  14. There are bag dumps/bins in the queue for the bags to be placed whilst you go through the maze...
  15. Great photoshopped image of a ride that apparently doesn't exist then...
  16. Would love to know why you believe that would be the case... The seat block moving up and down slowly wouldn't be the absolute cause of metal cracking, indeed, one would hope that the designers of the ride would be taking steps to ensure that that is not a potential problem... But given that I can't actually find any information on the ride or indeed the manufacturer, I would say this is an unlikely candidate...
  17. Considering the quality of the theming on both Ghost and Sub Terra (internal for that one, obviously), it's strange that Merlin don't seemingly want to try and push on into dark ride side of things on a much larger scale... Then again, I wouldn't trust Merlin to keep a large scale dark ride in working order for more than the first 5 minutes of it opening...
  18. Gotta love Asian parks, they look weird and wonderful...
  19. Baco might be the only one that does close early, due to the fireworks in the bay next door... It is of course, no loss to anyone...
  20. No idea on the mazes, but they're European so will probably be decent by the standards people set out... Staggered openings occur a LOT, it's awful... Baco, Tutuki Splash and Sesame Street open from opening, then the likes of Khan and Shambhala at around 10:30-11:00, then the rest of the park from about Midday... The Fastrack queue when I went last year was never ever busy, even on a weekend... As for rides, at first just follow what's open in the park as it opens, as you'll be walking straight onto these things anyway (bar Hurakan Condor, so maybe aim to get there for opening)... A BIG suggestion is to check when Templo del Feugo opens for the day, and then arrive about 30 minutes prior to that to ensure you get on the first showing... That does have Express, but even with that you can end up waiting a long time, best to get it done quickly, even if it is amazing...

    Phantasialand in October

The value of the hotel is amazing stuff, given that it's one of the most expensive on-the-gate parks in Germany at €45 each... I agree that Night Hawk is terrible and needs removing quickly, given the space it uses so badly could be used to a much greater effect by a park that tends to squeeze in rides throughout, with Chiapas being a perfect example... Hopefully once the Mystery area addition is completed in 3017, they can move on to working on that building and turning into something that truly fits the park's more recent additions...
  22. Fungle Safari closed in 2008, that'll be why Fish wasn't moved there when it reopened after the move...
  23. So next year we're getting Fish moved for a second time with a retheme... This is top tier theme parking right here... Also, was Scorpion Express really a success? Given that Chessie's figures don't tend to fluciate wildly, and a lot of visitors probably didn't turn up last year because the park was dreadful and pointless...
  24. This is correct, given that I'm still here
  25. God it's not even closed season and everyone's seemingly obsessed with Top Spins again... *hibernates*
