^I prefer it when people generalise Merlin in a good light though, rather than being constant negative...Yeah Raptor's is very low key (indeed only the 'guns' change light, making little difference to the station), but it does work really well... It's hard to tell for Swarm really but as it's a church I would imagine say an organ and maybe a jet scream to represent the aliens if they followed a similar style... With Air like lighting of course...

We can only hope that the Swarm announcements are anywhere as truly AMAZING as Raptor's <3Dispatch theme... Would depend on the look of the station, Raptor didn't have one (in the traditional sense) but it didn't lose anything for not having any music... Instead a light change and sound effects worked enough for it...

Would imagine it would be specially composed, especially with Krake and Raptor being absolutely brilliant soundtracks...

Bollocks, loads of people will turn up for opening time on opening day, even if it IS just a sea of enthusiasts, there will certainly be a packed entrance plaza come March.It doesn't need speeches from management; just pyro, actors and music. Get a quick 5 minute story going at the front gates, get everyone excited about it. So what if it's a one off, it would make the day so much more special.Pomp and circumstance IS something this country can do (Will & Kate), if the park's started making more of a deal about their rides opening in even just a simple way (rather than letting Wossy ride it in front of us all), then it WOULD make so much more difference. It just up to our parks to make the effort rather than just go, "oh yeah, this is open now, have fun in the 2 hour queue".Also, Garda's entrance theme <3 Why can't we be like that? (Aside from the Nation Anthem, sod that )

Swarm will be naturally more exciting to basically everyone here as it's local rather than £3000 away (AND in Canada)...But they are two very different rides and both excite me in their own separate ways... Leviathan because should it be well received it could hopefully push more B&M's breaking 300ft, and Swarm because it's showing how successful their WingRider concept is as well as being easily the best addition to the UK in yonks...

Thing is for the park as well it's really confusing, as they have a Flume, Rapids, Shoot the Chute AND Depth Charge... Considering people originally said that Pilgrim's Plunge was a water ride that didn't get you wet, it's very much a questionable addition to what is otherwise a really good park...Unless of course they want to make Katun look even BETTER... In which case this is perfect

They were probably MEANT to be automatic, and those need to happen over here, but I imagine that we'll have another bag drop thing a la everything else Merlin build outside of Italy (don't get me started on Fuga at Garda)...

Think cos on Thirteen you have to actually ask the host not a lot of people actually realise that they can wait for it... Besides Thirteen is of course superior in the back so it doesn't really matter ;)And yes Raptor's 'free-for-all' if it can be called as such worked fine, indeed what with only letting in 14 people on both sides at a time meant that spaces were all filled and the staff stopped anyone waiting behind anyone else... A team effort really but it really worked as it prevented a claustrophobic queue line and helped the baggage situation too...If I recall to the plans as well there were 3 distinct queue lines, so it's likely that it will incorporate (like Raptor) all 3 queues before the split up... Of course this does mean that Thorpe need to have good batchers, which is something that is sometimes a rarity in my experience unfortunately...

Since Raptor also has fast-track it is likely that it will batch in at the queue splitting or before...

Fast-track defo yes, and it might well be there from the off as this isn't a prototype or with an awful throughput...Wait and see though...
