  1. From an enthusiasts point of view on the SkyRush trains, of course we would all prefer to sit on the outer seats, and yes you probably would feel a little disappointed if you were forced to sit on one of the inner seats. But then again if a family were to come along to ride the coaster, just like what Sandor Kernacs said at IAAPA; the more conservative riders can sit on the inner seats whilst the thrill-seeking ones go for the winged ones. If this does end up having lap bars then I'm sure it could be a pretty good coaster; the layout looks to have some great spots of airtime and if it's as smooth as what people say Cheetah Hunt is, then I think it should be a good addition. Then there's the colour... The Yellow and Blue seems to have been a love/hate thing between most enthusiasts. I've always loved the colour scheme of Rage, Oakwood's Speed, Dragon Challenge and most coasters with a more 'in your face' colour scheme, so I'm definitely loving the colours on this one.
  2. It's quite interesting seeing the changes in plans to be honest, Tidal Wave's originally proposed station looked like it could have been pretty awesome! It also makes me think that if Thorpe were to have installed that LIM coaster, would we have Stealth today, due to them already having had a launch coaster? And maybe Intamin could have done the LIM coaster too? I'm thinking along the lines of them doing California Screamin'
  3. It is indeed the confirmed location! Different as to what the expected site was (I personally thought the Flume's site would be used.)http://riderater.co.uk/?p=1367Let the speculation begin
  4. KMG recently announced some rather big news at the past IAAPA show, this includes a new 230ft tall Speed (booster)! Also, a 230ft model of their 'Inversion' which is quite an enlargement upon the current model which stands at a maximum of around 80ft. These will be available as park models as well as transportable attractions. Great news as far as I'm concerned, although I'm not too sure if these larger attractions will be as popular as the current models due to their ease of transportation and set up compared to the larger models. However, I think Theme Parks may be more interested in the higher capacity rides, so it'll be interesting over the next few years to see how things turn out! Quote below... Sounds like an awesome few years planned ahead for KMG. SOURCE> http://themepark.nl/...432486/123.htmlimage of the 'Sicko'. Reminds me very much of the Zamperla 'Power Surge'And a video of the smaller prototype 'Stratosphere' High Swing, amazing how the tower all folds out of itself and gets thinner and thinner on the way up. Then last but not least, the extremely successful current model of the 'Inversion'. An even bigger model of this is going to be insane...

Just as I thought Levels couldn't get any better... Wow, I still love the original but this is SO good.
  6. Harry Potter to come to Universal Studios Hollywood! More info should be announced soon regarding what exactly this new investment will consist of. EDIT: "Forbidden Journey confirmed for Universal Hollywood, will go into existing park. Harry Potter expansion confirmed for Universal Orlando, No details yet" - from TPR's Facebook.
  7. Going back to this topic again... Here's a video of a KMG XXL's control booth, Love the way he taps away at the buttons like he knows them off by heart There's only 4 of these things in the world, would love to see one in the UK sometime!
  8. ^ Agreed with Mark. Cedar Fair have done so much to this park since they took it over in 2007. It's now got 4 200ft+ rides, Drop Zone, Windseeker, Behemoth and now Leviathan. The skyline looks beautiful; with the darkness of Behemoth going over in one direction, then the vivid blue of Leviathan in the other. Also, loving the way Leviathan's lift hill has less supports than Behemoth's Can't wait to see this coaster complete and it's hopefully awesome trains!

Pizza Hut, for the BBQ Americano with extra bbq sauce... oh, and lets not forget the Ice Cream factory. :PPepsi or Coca-Cola?
  10. Jumbos is being moved to the old Rodeo spot near Runaway Train for the 2012 season as far as I know. I imagine it's getting some sort of re-theme too?

TPRLeviathan's colour scheme OR Shambala's colour scheme?
  12. There is an absolutely wonderful Construction Tour of Leviathan on TPR, I highly recommend you check it out! It's got some amazing shots like the couple below, as well as some interesting information about the ride. There's also some good comparison shots showing Dragon Fire (the Arrow multi-looper) underneath Leviathan's huge supports. Quite a few people aren't too keen on the colours still, but I have to say that I love them, looks very fresh and unique http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1115507#p1115507^Massive bolts being used for this coaster...
  13. Very beautiful Blue Fire inversion...
  14. Loving the way that support is so close to the safety envelope Looks like it's going to be a great head/foot/arm chopper depending on whereabouts you are around that area on the train, with the building being so close as well. And on the note of trims... Expedition GeForce had it's removed last year ;)Look! No Magnets, just the holders
  15. Fun Fair rides actually get checked over in more ways than theme park ride versions in some cases... lets take Vortex as an example. Vortex probably gets checked every morning, before it opens. Parts like the motor at the top, or the moving floor might only get checked every once in a while. Whereas on the funfair equivalent, the ride is pulled down and erected again within a few days, checks will be carried out and any problems noticed by the showman. Of course the chances of a problem occurring is slim, but things do happen. Owning a Fun Fair ride is like owning a car to the showman, all travelling rides have a yearly Non Destructive and Ride Test, this is a bit like an M.O.T and has to happen every year, or else the ride cannot operate. There are various certificates that the rides need to operate, such as ADIPS (Amusement Device Inspection Procedures Scheme), Fun Fair rides and Theme Park rides get an ADIPS test. Here's some photo's below of Billy Danter's Extreme (Tivoli Remix Orbiter) having it's yearly inspection. Below, the hydraulic ram for the restraints is tested to check that all welds are strong. Here, the strengths of the welds and stress areas are being checked again, with a device that works a bit like a sonar. So yeah... Fairgrounds are pretty safe. Most rides are produced by companies which also produce very identical rides for Theme Parks e.g. Fabbri, KMG, Mack (some Music Express's etc), Gerstlauer, Tivoli, Huss and of course more... Good thing about fairs is that you get a decent&intense ride cycle on most rides, unlike some theme parks

Thorpe Park!Old TPM or New TPM!?
  17. Are images and colours going to be kept enabled in signatures? Juts wondering aha, I think the forum looks less "plain" with them enabled, I like it.
  18. I like it overall, feels much more fresh and modern, even though it was still good before! The only downside is that the skin isn't there yet as Ian said But will it be returning with the Old/New tiles too?

Move aside Flo Rida with your rip off "Good Feeling"... Avicii released the EP of Le7els earlier than expected today, it was originally due in January. Have a feeling this tune is going to be in the charts for a long time, love it SO much.
