Fright Nights 2013
Found the update https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.549180238470613.1073741834.163052343750073&type=1 Looks interesting, I can't make out if the fake brickwork is still there under Asylum's canopy (hope so). Those picture confirm that My Bloody Valentine will have a queueline shop.

Can someone post a link to the update please?

How Busy Is It Going To Be?
The first weekend on the Sunday is likely to be the quietest day. (Based on the fact that the first weekend is always quietest and that Sundays are usually quieter than Saturdays). Hope this helps I'm visiting on both the preview evening and Sunday the 6th so it will be interesting to see which is busier.

TPM Trip Head North: To Alton Towers
Really jealous about this one! Have a great time everyone

Fright Nights 2013
I'm not sure why they have shown the roaming actors from last year - unless the costumes are being used in a maze (Asylum would be best!) Bit of a weird trailer really, it's quite short and I much preferred the old one. Still, it won't make a difference to the event

Fright Nights 2013
Because during Fright Nights it will be closing at 5pm.

Stealth
Haha! Queueline TV's are good. I like them - however I don't think that The Swarm's are very good really and that women's voice constantly talking for hours/ages really gets on my nerves. Oblivion is an example of good queueline TV's - they actually build up tension you get breaks between them - they are not dotted around the whole queue so that you have to listen to them for the entire queue.

Stealth
Don't make me laugh! The amount of effects broken on The Swarm this season is huge! - Both water sprays are very rarely working - Fire effect is barely ever on - Sound effect of The Swarm noise on the staircase (church tower queueline building) has been switched off for most of this year - Various water jets from fire engine broken - Mist under plane wing is quite often switched off - Queueline TV screens switched off quite often. (Would be pleased about this, but they still have the audio playing so it's just as annoying). Saw is however more consistent, minus the hiccup with the lighting a few months back and of course the queueline audio.

The Smiler
Wish they wouldn't do that, it would be nicer to be able to enjoy it having no queue for longer

Fright Nights 2013
Alright, there's no need for that, I was just voicing an opinion Isn't it obvious that I meant in the dark? It was a typo...

Fright Nights 2013
I must admit that I really think that this is going to ruin the event. We are already a maze down on last year - and whilst the closing time last year was 9pm, that was everything. With rides closing at 5pm this year (earlier than a normal weekend closing time at a fright NIGHT!) and another load at 8 - 9pm we aren't going to know where we are in terms of rides still open and the queues are going to be horrific. The mazes are already going to have longer queues due to there being less, but with lots of rides closed it will just be horrendous. Not only this, but we are also losing out on experiences such as Loggers on the dark...

Mania Hub Chat
Can we maybe have an organised chat tomorrow evening? Can be any subject, but it would just be nice to see some people in chat

Fright Nights 2013
It looks better without the stupid editing Can't wait now! One thing though - the description says they you'll enter the hospital first so why does it look like a mine tunnel at the entrance?

Not very happy about Loggers and Rumba closing at 5pm to be honest.

Pleasure Beach, Blackpool
Thanks for the trip report. It sounds like a fantastic opportunity, and whilst I can justify the charge it's not something I would pay for it. Still, great to hear about it

Fright Nights 2013
The Blair Witch Project is a "scare experience" according to Thorpe's website. If the groups are small and it's done well then it does have the potential to be very good. If however they adopt a Terror Zone style for it then it will probably be quite poor.

Vampire
Rubbish. With the amount of money they charge for entry and other things they most certainly could afford to run 3 trains!

Stealth
Same thing that happens to all of Thorpe's effects...

Fright Nights 2013
I agree, although they could have spent most of the last few weeks doing the insides of the mazes (and we wouldn't know). Therefore they might only have a few finishing touches to the exteriors to make.
