  1. Went today. RIDECOUNT: The Swarm x5 Colossus x1 Saw: The ride x1 Stealth x2 X:/No way out x2 Loggers leap x1 Park was fairly busy throughout the day, though not absoloutley packed. NOTES: - The fire didn't launch once for The Swarm today. (When I was in the area or around it.) - Saw: The ride's queue is awful at the moment, none of the sound effects are playing outside and some of the "traps" are getting hidden behind overgrown plants. - Stealth's queue was moving very quickly and efficiently today, well done - Colossus's queue on the other hand was not moving quickly. For most of the day one of the trains was always being sent round empty. Why not just take it off the track if it can't have people in it? - Samurai won't be re-opening until 2013 according to a sign outside the ride. (It has been completley taken apart at the moment.) For Fright nights construction information, view my post on the Fright nights page.
  2. I went to Thorpe park today. - The curse was up and they were working on the interior of the maze. - Asylum had a few people going in and out of it (staff) - Didn't get much of a look at Hellgate's site. - No construction had started in the arena yet for Experiment 10.
  3. I am not surprised to be honest, the last few times I went on it it was running at almost half it's usual speed, we barley flipped at all and when we did it was slow and forceless. Let's hope Samurai makes a full recovery for Fright nights, it is amazing in the dark! (As long as it is running fully.)
  4. I find the curse alright when it is being used to it's full potential, which it wasn't last year. Also, Asylum had a few changes last year which added some "scenes" that made the maze more interesting. As for a seperatley ticked event, it would not work in my opinion and I wouldn't like to see it. I must just be lucky but when I go the queues tend to be short - except for in 2009 when I queued 2 hours for se7en!
  5. The ending was either just another actor jumping out or nothing - it wasn't "bad" as such but it could be improved to have people running out of it like Asylum. I would highly reccomend EX10, it is one of the best mazes.
  6. I would imagine that it will use Hellgate's old site. If it was in a tent/container then construction would have started by now, and I can't see where else it would go tbh. As for the new twist on Experiment 10, my only guess is that they have got a better ending?
  7. Do you know, I wouldn't mind the £3 charge but two things annoy me. 1. Having to pre book??? Sorry but this is very inconvenient as I won't know what time I want to go in until I am there tbh, 2. It mentions paying £3 for "early bird" tickets, meaning that others will be more. On the bright side though, the maze looks fantastic!
  8. Yes, they are both crosses. (Sorry but what? You see them everywhere, why pick out one paticular cross on a poster???)
  9. Oh ok then fair enough. I assumed that it was a long term sponsorship (Like Yorkie was/is for Stealth, although that suited it imo.)
  10. Yay, ruining the theming of each ride at the park!
  11. This is completley ridiculous. How is any atmosphere going to be built up with advertisments?
  12. Am I the only one imagining people being shut in coffins?
  13. POSTED FROM THORPE PARK OFFICIAL FACEBOOK: Fright Nights Fever? Clue number 1. If you 'HATED' the mazes last year, then this will have you turning in your grave...
  14. That would just be Asylum with a different name.
  15. Posted by Thorpe park official on facebook today: "What's your worst fear? It might just be coming to THORPE PARK as our new attraction for Fright Nights this year..." Maybe it will be about phobias?
  16. It's horrendous the people you get at Thorpe park - a few weeks back I saw chavs on rumba rapids all standing up in the raft laughing - they ruin It for everyone!
  17. I enjoyed se7en more last year than before - it was creepier, some scenes looked better and although it has never been close to a favourite I actually liked it last year. Curse on the other hand was just pitch black corridors with a few almost pitch black rooms last year - what is the point really? Still, as long as they keep Asylum and Experiment 10 I am happy
  18. Yes, mazes should open at 3.
  19. 11 times this year, and my favourite Thorpe park ride is The Swarm.
  20. Yes if that turns out to be the "new maze" then I will be disappointed. It's an ok maze imo but it would be a false claim.
  21. If it does turn out to be a scare zone then I would imagine that it will be about The Swarm
  22. Oh yeah good point, I wasn't sure wheather the seats were still there or not.
  23. It could be a possibility that Se7en gets relocated to inside the time voyagers building? (Or another maze?)
  24. Lots of dark corridors with holes in the walls for the actors to jump out of. There were also several big and well themed rooms that were used by actors. It was a very long maze and there was a spinning tunnel as well.
  25. Maybe Hellgate is returning as a new maze (or maybe completley rethemed?) I hope so because I thought hellgate was a great maze - Very long, well themed and lots of different places where actors hid and jumped out.
