Samurai
That makes sense given the circumstances, but when it gets to the stage where they are having to prioritise when to run it due to unreliability, surely it's time for a replacement? (And I'm not talking about replacing it with a pay-extra game, an actual ride please!) If Samurai offered something unique then I would understand the reasoning for Thorpe keeping it, but better Topscans can be found both at fairs and parks across the UK, and Samurai seems to have been limping along for years now.

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
I saw the advert on TV yesterday, the way it was worded made it sound like the ride is open now!

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
That snippet of the soundtrack is much higher quality than the one Thorpe uploaded, it sounds brilliant.

The Smiler Incident 02/06/2015
There are some pictures of the trains in this article, shocking stuff really. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3553426/Alton-Towers-owner-court-Smiler-rollercoaster-crash-cost-two-young-women-legs-injured-three-passengers.html Just wanted to quote one particular section: If this is true then it is appalling, however it's the daily mail so it probably isn't. EDIT: The photos came from here. http://press.hse.gov.uk/2016/hse-statement-alton-towers-owners-plead-guilty-to-safety-failings/

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
Well it's impossible to tell how ready it is, but with two weeks to go wouldn't they be well into the testing stages by now? If it was likely to open late then I don't think it is a very good idea for them to be telling people this:

Two weeks today!

Chessington General Discussion
Personally I don't see what the fuss is about with Vampire. The tunnel near the end is good, but the rest of it just lumbers around corners, and the first half in particular doesn't really do... anything. Maybe it was better with the old trains? That's just my opinion though.

Stealth isn't a hyper. The Big One is though, and it's in England! Regarding visiting abroad parks, I would really like to and hope to in the future!

The first one! Apocalypse or Detonator?

What is actually happening with Samurai this time?

Busch Gardens Williamsburg
A tamer model like this would suit Chessington, but I would hope for something more thrilling if a wooden coaster was built at Thorpe or Alton.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg
Chessington, something like this please!

Does anyone know why the Bath Time sign has gone from above the drop into the fountain room?

Fright Nights 2016
Agreed, Fright Nights needs a huge shake-up this year, and the power supply for the mazes not cutting out every 10 minutes would be nice.

Merlin Name Mania!
SW8 will be The Flume: Duck Terra which will be the same ride but with waterproof VR headsets and actors dressed as giant ducks in the tunnel. Similarly, Loggers Leap will have a similar VR refurbishment where the old tunnel will be shown on the screen.

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
Early? No, the advertised opening date is the 6th May, which is on time. I don't think it is too much to expect a new attraction to open on the advertised date, and to be finished. Didn't The Big Top open two hours late? The fact that it was unfinished was due to poor planning/whatever other reason rather than because it opened early, as it didn't!

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
Derren definitely says July in the video. Will not be impressed if it is delayed by over a month! EDIT: Actually I think he says "hope you enjoy", not sure though.

Hyperia Speculation and Construction Thread
They could fit a hyper coaster around the existing park though, it doesn't have to be confined to an area.

Chessington General Discussion
That fence is shocking. Would it have been too much effort to paint it the same colour as the scenery if it has to be there?

Sea World
A small point, but what's with the awkward straight section in the dip after the first drop?

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
Does anyone else think the marketing for this has gone a bit quiet? I know they released the soundtrack today but in terms of building up the opening of the Ghost Train, wouldn't they usually be advertising a new ride a lot more via social media etc by now?
