100 Rep! :DIn other news, exams are looming close, and over the next 10 days I have: 3 real GCSE's, 3 real Controlled Assessments and 5 mocks. It's gunna be a stressful 2 weeks but as soon as they are over I can just play PS3, go shopping and hype up for my trip to Florida! The sooner these next two weeks are out of the way, the better...

I really love this song. The general opinion of the song is very broad and has mixed opinions but I for one love the original by Samuele Martini and Amanda Wilson, the remix by Tim Berg and the extended cut by Avicci. Tim Berg/Avicci/Tom Hangs which ever one you prefer, is a great DJ IMO and I am very fond of all the songs I have heard by him. I've known of this song for quite some time and really like it, so I think it deserves to come in here for a bit of recognition after all this chat about Electronic music

    The Smiler

Although this was originally a concept for the Dark Forest before Th13teen came to be, it seems that a vertical launch coaster of some sort has been on the cards for Alton for some time. Even though there are plenty of coasters that launch horizontally before going upwards, it seems this could be a legit 'worlds first' element. The verticle launch coaster may not have been very suited to the area of Th13teen due to Rita being next to it, but its very good to see Alton are acting on the public opinion and doing what is not only right for the park, but whats needed to make the public happy. The full article is a very interesting read: http://old.towerstimes.co.uk/history/plans/darkforest.htmCredit to Towers Times and Nielfever for posting it in the plans section a few days ago
  4. It may have been mentioned earlier, but wouldn't a sheltered Church give the sense of safety? After passing through all sorts of apocalyptic stuff, entering a sheltered Church with dimmed lights will give a sense of shelter and protection from whats outside. The broken roof will look fantastic in the rain and the atmosphere will be phenomenal but I think the theme really does rely on pathetic fallacy. The scenery will look fantastic either way, but it will be 10x better in the rain IMO. I think the idea of a rural village will work very well as well. An area with muddy patches around its border, and small 'ponds' dotted around really deliver s the tone of the area that is trying to be made. I could imagine walking over the bridge, and seeing the Church a small distance ahead with a plane partially submerged into the ground in front of me. Vehicles dotted around and lampposts etc. will really look great, especially in the rain! I think the track is going to be a lot more over whelming than I expected before as well. Standing under Colossus and looking up really gives you an idea of how bit that is. Considering The Swarm will not only have a bigger, but also steeper drop puts an imagine in my head as to how immensely sized this ride actually is. I know it has been said over and over again, but Thorpe really are onto a winner with this ride. It may not be the biggest, or fastest, but the experience and theme will together make this ride amazing.
  5. Yeah, but if he saved the password or 'kept it logged in' as it's called now, then wouldn't he be able to use it at will? I find making sure the account is logged out, then changing the password to prevent it being entered again without my consent a far more effective way of keeping my account safe than leaving the password as it is and risking him being able to get back onto my account without meknowing...
  6. I've been fraped a lot worse before. Lets use sexual messages to my Granddad and uploading a lot of pictures of Gay Porn as some examples ;)Since the start of this year, I have started to change my password regularly to avoid this issue and it seems I will have to do so again pretty sharpish if earlier is anything to go by... I really don't care about how badly I get fraped, what I was annoyed about is how my friend was nosy enough to go through my messages and interfere with my profile by commenting on peoples photos etc. It just gives me the impression that my friend is shallow, lacks respect and is nosy, tbh. He's been known to get a bit jealous over certain things before and use sh*t stirring and other things to manipulate certain people. The fact that he has browsed my private information and would most probably be willing to do that again really annoys me.
  7. On my journey to school every morning, I make a detour to my friends house. He is usually still getting ready so I have some time to wait around. In total there are 3 of us, and it is usually more convenient for my friend who lives in the house, and his family members who are rushing around upstairs for my other mate and I to sit downstairs on the computer. This morning, I was checking my Facebook on my friends Mac and I accidentally left it logged in. He thought it would be funny to comment on a lot of pictures. Browse through my private messaging and not only use symbols to convey the shape of the male genitalia, but to look through my more private conversations. I know this because I always leave the last message from a person untouched so the block is highlighted blue (quite hard to explain, but for those who know what I'm going on about it's the blue thing you get when a message is unread) and all of the conversations had been read, because the blue box was not present on any of them. I don't see why my friend thought it would be okay to sift through my Facebook and intercept my private life. Even though there was nothing of much interest on my Facebook he could have found something very personal to me or anybody else, which would have been a problem if anybody else found it. It aggravates me that a close friend of mine, has little enough respect for me and himself to do something like that and even after confronting him, he commented on spelling or grammar related mistakes I had made in the messages I wrote. :angry:EDIT: Save me double posting, if 'Kik' is as bad as 'Tiny Chat' and carries on being used as much as it is then I will lose the will to live...(I can't judge for every where obviously but it is being used a lot where I live at least.)
  8. http://dw-2012.com/?p=630 Nice to see some new news emerge with this ride. It comes to show how the Wing Riders really can adapt to a very vast array of themes, and seeing this is the only one of its type that hasn't yet adopted a apocalyptic/destruction orientated theme (X-Flight is a bit controversial) I believe this will be a very unique ride for a fairly long time in the Wingrider department

I only mentioned it because it seemed like the right moment Tbh Dubstep is a load of samples put together with a beat, but for some reason it sounds really good. In a strange way you could argue how plucking strings that make different notes in a particular order is music too I would really like to see Electronic music of all kinds become more popular because with it being played in clubs and dance venues worldwide, it seems weird that the general public (of my age at least) never seem to listen to this genre very much!

Really don't mean to be pedantic but this has always struck me and now seems a decent time to bring it up:Maybe it's the way forward? I'm sure in the 18th century when Classical music was big, they would not classify rapping or r&b as music if they were to hear it. Maybe as times change, we will adapt to the likes of Dubstep and in time electronic music will be the norm. Yeah, it is a load of samples put together with a beat, but I honestly think in the relatively near future, Dubstep and Drum&Bass will become usual. In the 30's or 40's they had singers like Frank Sinatra and I'm certain his songs are nothing like the ones we listen to today written by a women wearing a dress made of meat and a telephone on her head... I respect your opinion Lauren, and I'm honestly not objecting to anything you say, I just thought that this would be a decent time to bring up what I've always pondered over. As times change, so does the mainstream music genre. Over time, I reckon that Electronic music will become more popular and the likes of Lady Gaga or JLS will be 'old' music.
  11. The bridge for those who were not eagle eyed enough to realize It's a lot further back than I expected, but maybe that's just perspective playing its role in the time lapse photos. I still always thought it was going to be nearer the drop though... I just hope that 'turn back' sign is going to be put on the bridge, because I thought that was a very nice touch.
  12. I remember that, I think there was some hand prints on a pyramid shaped thingy and if several touched it all at once, the lights would dim etc.
  13. I suppose the old white supports would completely contrast the grey ones of Shambhala though... Blue is a step in the right direction.

The Big Bang theory never fails to make me laugh. I'm also becoming quite a fan of 'How I met your mother' and 'Scrubs'. I have a soft spot for American sitcom/cheesy comedies. I've also just got into 'Gavin and Stacey'. A few years behind but I still like it non the less
  15. Jaws The bit in the shed never failed to scare me...On a slightly 'brighter' note: Not a huge fan of the supports... It's also interesting to see the colour contrast between the painted and unpainted parts of the loop.

Just because she sounded good, doesn't mean to say I like her. There's loads of great Opera singers, but quite frankly, I can't stand the genre. Even though she was a great singer, we was standing in the cold, I was soaked from rainwater and I was cramped in a pack of people (Near the front of the Golden Circle) but most of all, I don't particularly like any of her songs. As much, of a good singer she was, standing in an uncomfortable environment listening to songs you don't wanna hear was annoying. Her voice on the other hand was quite the opposite. Same thing, she had a pretty chunky cast on, and tbh I wasn't really paying much attention to what she was saying in between songs, so I just presumed it was her leg she broke
  18. Right, I'm gunna elaborate on why I didn't particularly like Donkey Punch as yesterday I didn't go into any detail. This contains spoilers through out so be warned :ph34r:The main negative of this film was that there was no real story line. I could vaguely relate to a simple synopsis but there was no consistency or strength in what was going on. I saw the film as a novelty. Nobody has ever created a film about breaking a girls neck whilst having sex with her, and for that reason alone, I decided to watch it. It started off with some girls going to Mallorca and partying before they met some boys with a luxury yacht, which in its self was not even that intriguing. I was only watching the film to see this infamous 'Donkey Punch' and I was quite frankly wasting my time waiting for it to happen. Then the film takes a turn for the worst, everybody gets high to their eyeballs on Ecstasy and starts having sex. Of all the 18 rated films I have seen with 'Sexual Scenes' this is the only one where you can literally see every thing going on. The girls boobs are out and you can see the young adults having full frontal sex before one of them is killed. After that, the film loses its touch, and the story pretty much dies. The dead girls body is disposed of and everybody starts killing each other. I got the feeling that the writers of the film didn't know what to do, so used the worst ways to die as an excuse. Men being shot with fireworks and blowing up, slaughtered with boat motors or girls just throwing themselves off board are to me, are incredibly cheesy and only lead to less characters being present to carry on the already weak story. It's obvious that the film was only made because a girl had her back vertebrate snapped during anal sex, and I don't think even the best writers could come up with a good enough story to lead on from that. The scenes lack consistency and tension and the most cringe worthy part of the film was when the protagonist Tammy, cut her armpit on a disposable razor at the start. This film would be a 1/10 IMO for its poorly executed scenes and inconsistent story line, but for the novelty of the pornographic/murder scene, I will give it a 3.5/10.

She was pretty annoying at The Summer Time Ball. She'd broken her leg the day before so was propped up on a chair with some chunky cast and she was just screaming her lungs out to us all whilst we stood in the rain waiting for her to finish... She did sound pretty good though
  20. I watched it with my sister, some of the scenes *cough* breaking a girls neck whilst having sex with her *cough* were a tad awkward...
  21. Just watched Donkey Punch. It was one weird film...

    CHRISTMAS!

Had a great day so far, very tired but I'm chuffed with my presents. Been playing MW3 all day and the campaign is very impressive. I'm yet to try online and I still have 4 hours of double XP I hope everybody has had a lovely Christmas and got everything they wanted, from presents to being with friends and family
  24. Just got back from Christingle, it's mentioned more in my post in the Christmas topic. Me and others put the candles on the top of the oranges together to make one big flame and an elderly women behind me asked why I lacked such respect. I replied: ''The candle represents Jesus' love to us all and his everlasting presence on Earth. By putting the flames together, wouldn't the three of us just be promoting Jesus' omni benevolence and reinforcing everything the Vicar just said?'' The VIcar had just mentioned something along the lines of: ''One flame on its own does nothing, but when they're all together, they can make a big difference''The Lady just turned back around and ignored me. It annoys me that she felt the need to have ago at me, and even though me and my mates were acting very stupid and wasn't really considering the potential consequences of our actions, what we were doing was in a sense exactly what the Vicar had just preached us about. Stupid old woman

A lot of the people I know who play FIFA 12 find this song funny. Mostly because of the lyrics, but they don't seem to take it seriously because of the lyrics like I'm a badman'. Personally, I actually really like this song, and unlike my friends, I think the lyrics (even if they are a bit unusual) and the more drum and bass orientated parts are very good. Whilst I was sleeping round a friends house, I found my self rather bored at various points in the night/morning and listened to it whilst trying to beat my high score or Doodle Jump. I've never really listened to Chase and Status, but if this song is anything to go by, then I should start doing so pretty sharpish!
