  1. The people have indeed spoken! It appears I've lost some of my creakyness this year for some reason or another. I am however still happy to be the winner of biggest fanboy and sexiest male amongst being second on most dedicated. It appears I have won storm surge, must've been those coat hangers And also 2nd sexiest female, what do I say (walks in dressed as Frank N Furter). Who knows what would happen if I'd won . Baron rightfully won its placement was did Efteling and look toward to how 2016 developments turn out (especially since two of those are in the Uk for once).
  2. I am terrible at losing games!
  3. I give up! this game is just destroying me, I'm taking this too seriously. if slammer leaves you will make me happy.

    TPM Awards 2015

    Most anticipated results goes to_
  6. Mellow Monday- Television Rules The Nation I start my opening with something a little different from usual. Daft Punk has always been a band/group I have liked, one which could be described as a modern Kraftwerk or Tangerine Dream in some ways. Todays entry television is one I have often been finding myself listening to and chilling out to recently, especially after a week of deadlines and plans with it's catchy and prominent melody and vocal hooks. Perhaps the fact this piece was played in a choir I've been taking part in has also helped.

    Legoland

Visited yesterday for their Christmas event and here's what's worth mentioning. 1/ The back of the Star Wars store is completely empty and cornered off. It's possible we could be seeing another scene added in here to do With Episode VII. 2/ Last Chance shop is completely empty. 3/ Squid Surfer features a lot of scaffolding on it (probably general work). However, here is potentially proof Dinosaur Safari is definitely going for hotel expansion. It looks like the path is being rebuilt/re-routed plus there's also things missing from the roof and fencing around the toilet block there as well. There's nothing to see yet on a Ghost though (the train was running) however it'll probably have an early 2017 opening now instead of a mid/late 2016 one anyway. Park does look pretty at night though with those lights.
  8. Apparently you can buy parts of the now torn down bridge on eBay, any partakers? Got to be a major projec for the removal of a central bridge like this, hope they have some good diversions here,
  9. Six rides, I'm treating it like general work for now, a repainted Colossus would be nice but it'll probably end up how the assumption of logger's tunnel ended up last season. New trains would be nice however.
  10. Oooh Fresh track, fresh B&M track! Tbh I don't see how I could've not been a B&M anyway as it would've just been silly really if they'd got someone like Premier rides or Intamin to retract it .

I have a feeling some of the results this year will be bizarre and unexpected
  12. Two coasters in one year? Amazing! 2016 is definitely going to be one hell of a year for Phantasialand and safe to say it definitely has the most exciting developments too. That's sealed the deal on Phantasia being the must do list next year.
  13. He mentioned it indeed. The full article is here https://m.facebook.com/PBExperience/photos/a.179729955378352.41278.132690813415600/1082607558423916/?type=3&source=48.
  14. According to Nick Thompson, Blackpool will be opening a new major ride in April 2017 which is expected to take 18 months to build and be a much bigger addition than sky force and is set to be one of the most exciting rides in the world. Source- Pleasure Beach Experience Definitely very exciting news there!
  15. Impossible makes Storm Surd look like Chiapas in comparison (). Anyway a back to the this dark ride. Whilst some of the things I have heard have brought a mixture of excitement and concerns for me I'm still excited for this project. Not just is it a (major) new ride at my local theme park (just down the M25) but a dark ride. However not only is it the first proper dark ride at Thorpe (discarding X as in indoor ride) but it's the first full scale dark ride outside of Legoland parks, Dungeons etc. In all fairness we haven't seen many dark rides in Europe at all recently except Maus Au Chocolate and Ratatouille so as long as it isn't terrible it's a welcome addition IMO.
  16. Staggered opening would be the times better than having half a dozen rides shut. However I do feel were this to be U-turned, poor Flummy and even Ripsaw won't see the light of day in 2016.
  17. Gosh that looks looks mighty impressive. All we need now is for Paultons to do extremely well next year and build one for their next big thing. Unofficial Plopsaland Meet anyone?
  18. My gosh! That looks insane in the most awesome way. I love it!
  19. The moment you receive an email from a lecturer explaining your Special Project [equivalent to a dissetation] has to be submited in hard copy only, despite the default now being online submission. This now means I ave gone from being on schedule to behind it due to suddenly finding resources to print and also finding CD's to download. Also my windows media is really playing me up right now as it keeps crashing and forcing me to shut down the programme no matter how many times I need to open it. Anyone know how to sort this. Perfect storm :[
  20. My only guess here would be the evolution of ride technology. Oblivion was brand new technology and a prototype when built and no other dive machines had been constructed at the time. When Griffon opened, at least several other dive coasters had opened, not to mention it was no longer brand spanking new technology either. Another thing to mention is the big hole they dug for oblivion wouldn't have been cheap either, especially since much of the drop is actually beneath ground anyway.
  21. Yeah, someone got stabbed in Leytonstone Station tonight in what could be described as a terrorist stack. The perpetrator was tassered but the victim is believed to be in a critical condition. Hope the victim recovers, I fear this could only be the start of a dark time. I'm skeptic on the bombing in Syria.
  22. Though I haven't experienced the ride (yet), I have heard reports by numerous people that the Baco has become noticeably rougher recently, to the degree that it's fans cannot manage more than three re-rides a time. It almost sounds like It's worse than Stampida now (some new GCI trains could make the ride much smoother). Not good though for the ride, considering it is the park's third major ride, which begs the question. How the park can improve the ride? Can they modify the trains, will they have to buy new ones, or could this possibly mark the beginning of the end for Baco? With Ferrari Land opening in 2017 (originally meant to be next year) it's quite possible the ride isn't longed for this world.
