via Imgflip Meme Maker Looks like we may be in for some serious Merlin bashing times in 2016.

Dragon Falls will surely be the uk's tallest (operating) Log Flume. If flume shut, not many would be upset, but if Loggers was (forever), then many would be (me included) unless something like Chiapas happened.
  4. I have always wondered why Merlin have pulled back from the Thorpe hotel previously, especially that we would receive plans but then nothing would happen. Would like to know where the setback is there especially Towers will be getting a third hotel alongside the Enchsnted Village, Chessington getting glancing (ugh) aside their two hotels & Legoland building a second one for 2017. Not to mention further rumours suggest Towers receiving yet another hotel near 2020, Legolsnd likely getting an eco village (on newly bought land) and Chessington likely doing at least another hotel or Enchsnted village equivalent.
  5. Park is going to remain closed until (and including) Tuesday the 17th. Source- Inside DLP. Very understandable during this difficult time and respectful to an extent too. Paris will be tense place to be and may well take months before it reaches the vibes the city had until this year. The Sleeping Beauty castle is also showing it's respect to last nights tragedy too.

Surely we are going to see rides closed st all parks likely. Loggers is going at Thorpe. At Towers we ćould lose Flume or Ripsaw & Blade (all three are a possibility too). Chessington, I can see Tombs closing permanent,y until a new ride opens there and maybe the same for Skyway (which barely works anyway). Legoland will probably not be affected being in a different budget area and currently is doing well (however Dinosaur will likely close next year for the second hotel).
  7. My thoughts go to all the victims in this terrible attack. The attackers themselves are less human than a plastic bag and are the satanic tumour of this world. 2015 has certainly been an awful year for France and I hope they can get back on their feet again.

Can see Loggers closed and reopening in 2017 as a (claimed) new attraction as it means the park can close it for cost saving yet claim it as a new experience. Whether that's the right thing to do or not is another story, but with the potential the park will see a fair share of 'new' viditors next year some may well not even know the ride existed even. I still hope that the ride does reopen the following year, hopefully with some improvements. It doesn't necessarily need re-routing (except retracting in places) but just a returned/improved tunnel and improved effects and theming even really.

If your voting on the grounds of breaking coat hangers whilst re-enacting the dance of thriller, my Oakwood anarchy, making random vids of the whole 'back seat anarchist' thing I'm your man!Whether I continue to own the awards again this year is up to everyone!

From what I'm aware, Thorpe have actually been suffering pretty badly on the guest numbers for a long time, essentially still so since 2012 time, Thorpe's numbers haven't been great and though in 2013 & 2014 they went up, they were still not to the levels of the pre 2011 days where despite the horrid mess of Storm Surge appearing, was around when the park was in it's peak [in many ways]. Apparently Thorpe's numbers were down quite badly this year before Smiler even happened. Part of me thinks Thorpe will be hit just as badly as Towers, if not a little more as a result. Legoland is the only park doing very well right now [though Chessington isn't doing bad [at least visitor wise], but I wouldn't be surprised to see cuts implemented there too. Unless Derren Brown is an overwhelming success, I fear 2016 could be a disapointing year and one that will take use back to the epitome DIC 2004 days.

The sadest aspect is, there will be more Wildest Ride In ThecWilderness to Hear, at least on this side of the Atlantic. Loggers leap was one of my childhood rides, I just hope it gets the live it deserves now as its almost 30 now. A BTM style refurb would be nice but is unlikely. Hopefully thorpe's 2016 season won't be like Chessie's 2013 season m (Derren Brown better be good).

http://weheartit.com/entry/group/2664252 This years results will be interesting but I feel there's much competition this year.
  13. A disused warehouse? Yay for originality! Because rundown places are better than train stations & theatre places

This tunnel inside me is empty. The evidence seems to build.
  15. 2016 hmmmm, Repainted Colossus, Rumba Rapids refurbished Canada Creek reopened Tidal Wave fire is back Top Spin Slammer is closed Loggers Leap 'actually' has a brand new tunnel Vengeance is built in Pirates Not like these ideas aren't original In all seriousness though, I don't think there will be many changes aside from WC16 tbh (please prove me wrong)!
  16. Thorpe -7 Chessie -4 Legoland -4 Disney Land Paris-4 Efteling-2 Pleasure Wood Hills Great Yarmouth PB Blackpool PB Joy land Oakwood Adventure Island Alton Towers 0.5 Most likely my best year yet (at least on the quality & range of parks done). Didn't visit Thorpe aw much this year (somewhat didn't seem to have the pull it did the last few years), however managed more visits to Legoland & Chessie (how!) though. Visited a total of 5 new parks, DLP, Efteling, PWH, GYPB & Joy Land amongst return trips to Oakwood & AI. Unfortunately due to timing it to the worst possible weekend, I never managed a proper visit to Towers due to the Smiler crash meaning I only got half a towers cred this year (looking around the hotels & golf). Luckily got Blackpool instead really. Still got Legoland Christmas, Winter Wonderland & another round of midways before 2016 arrives hopefully. 2016 shall hopefully bring on a year just as if not more exciting than this years, MC16.

    Logger's Leap

I'm not expecting Loggers to go anywhere yet, however should it be receiving a major refurbishment next year, I will expect it to shut down in September time [which would make more sense considering it gets colder an darker then]. Slammer & X might be going [however the latter seems unlikely].
  18. I'm addicted to coffee now!
  19. Offended people offend me. That vile slackfish has essentially murdered the park, at least for the Orca's in which soon there will be none left, Black fish is one of the worst things to ever exist. Least the new rides sound interesting especially the dark rides. Hopefully the park get through this.
  20. Ouch! that's herfty. Feel sorry for the 190 that lose their jobs. Some people aren't going to have a good Christmas this year. Wonder whether it will effect seasonal or permanent jobs or both?
  21. Ravelijin was amazing Jack! Definitely my favourite show I've ever seen at a theme park [that doesn't involve fountains or projections]. Basically I liked most of the rides there, the only ones I didn't really like was Monseur Cannibal as it was so difficult to make the things spin. Pyphon was ok but rather dull as was Villa Volta, but is not a patch on Hex.
  22. I'll be there and am inerested in Secret Santa too.
  23. Efteling is Efteling amazing!

  24. It's that time again to update my top 10 (especially after visiting an amazing park outside the Uk). Roller Coasters 1/ Nemesis 2/ The Swarm 3/ Joris De Draak- (new to the list) a smooth yet forceful fun ride makes for great things in addition to the heavily immersive theme, soundtrack and small touches such as the winning flags. 4/ Megafobia 5/ Thunder Mountain 6/ Thirteen 7/ Baron 1898- impressive theming and story can make a good ride a great one. 8/ Air 9/ Speed 10/ Space Moubtain DLP Off the list Rock N Roller coaster- Space Mountain is better Grand National- as much as like it Joris is much better plus the ride can be rough and operations leave a lot to be desired. Dark Rides 1/ Tower Of Terror 2/ Pirates of the Caribbean DLP 3/ Hex 4/ Valhalla 5/ Fate Morgana- this is a fantastic variation of the Pirates concept, the theming, music, everything is top notch. 6/ Ratatouille 7/ Droomvlucht- high quality again with excellent quality and everything. 8/ Crush 9/ Vogel Rock- such a Loverly ride, a bit like space mountain without loops. 10/ Duel Off the list Star Tours- needs an update Wallace & Gromit- the pacing is rather jarring (as much as I like this ride). Bubble works- Merlin Top 10 water rides 1/ Valhalla 2/ Flying Dutchman (Efteling) 3/ Pirana Rapids 4/ Congo River Rapids 5/ Drenched 6/ Loggers Leap 7/ Pirate Falls 8/ Tidal Wave 9/ Viking River Splash 10/ Dragon Falls Top 10 parks (visited) 1/ Disneyland Paris 2/ Efteling 3/ Alton Towers 4/ Thorpe Park 5/ Blackpool Pleasure Beach 6/ Legoland Windsor 7/ Chessington 8/ Oakwood 9/ Asventure Island 10/ Tivoli World Needs more Europa mcxvi
