  1. Rides that reach over 1000 riders per hour Thorpe Park Colossus Inferno Stealth Saw Swarm Loggers Rumba Tidal Wave (on a good day) Plus Fish and X probably get close on a good day Chessington Falls Tomb Blaster (on 5 trains which is rare these days) Vampire (when it used to run but only uses 2 now) Buccaneer (in its hey day) After this only Scorpion gets any where near To think Thorpe's lowest throughput ride Depth Charge gets around 350 an hour (probably less) when many of Chessie's rides get less than that (truckers, toadies, jumbos, jungle bus, rattlesnake and peeking to mention some). That being said I'm sure Chessie completely is a better place to be this summer compared to last (not to mention scorpion & rammy open again) plus operations this year are slightly better, at least it's not like Oakwood where speed is in 1 car op and fast pass is being used (least vampire does have a spare again now even if it only runs 2).
  2. Rip Robin Williams, can't believe one of my favourite childhood actors has gone :(

  3. Not sure if I'm able to make this one currently, as it greatly depends on transport and sorting hotel rooms etc.
  4. Pretty sure I've seen these type devices before. Definitely recall these appearing at Legoland last year and a Chessington has them as well. helpful to those on low phone low phone power.
  5. Things I'd like to see at Thorpe park An airtime machine coaster A woodie At least 2 new dark rides An air race Another B&M Mack launch
  6. The following Merlin attractiones (at least) could do with major TLC or refurbishment Thorpe/ Colossus Canada Creek (especially loggers) Rumba rapids Ranger county The dome and surrounding area Towers The gardens Smiler Charlie Rita (or just replace with a Mack launch while they're at it) Flume Chessie Everywhere except wild Asia, market square, Africana, Zufari and parts of Mexicana and Transylvania

    This Or That

Keep the game damn going Thunder or mountain?
  8. Thans for the trip report. It really sums up how Oakwood has seemingly gone downhill and backwards this year with its new fastrack system andpoor operations (I bet waitng for 1 train op on speed makes it 1 train Colossus seem pleasant). Having 5 rides down (4 unannounced) is totally unacceptable. I really hope operations and management improve soon, otherwise he park may not exist for much longer (especially when you give a dog a bad name). Thorpe park in comparison is much better run. Rides will go on 2 trains when needed, ride reliability has improved compared to even 5 years ago with slammer and samurai really being the only rides that manage major downtime apart from Stealth's ocassional day, plus they would give extra tickets if they had 5 rides closed too. I remember visitng once last year and I thoroughly enjoyed the park and managed to ride about everything except the pedaloes. Speed and Megaphobia were fantastic and the new Neverland place was decent, plus the after dark events were great fun and at night it's just an amazing place.
  9. I don't like it, sort of ruins the character that area used to have. Quite a shame really, I hope they do carry out further pointless changes regardless of its limited space as it's just ruining the charm of the place.
  10. Not bad, not bad at all Can't say I'm blown away by it, but then this only the showcase version. Looks rather simplistic ATM, but hopefully we'll see ore details when they're actually finished.
