Why are you going Han!!!!
-
Loggers leap and vortex are linked I think? Saw a ride op working on both of them however on two different days...
-
On saw, its a free moving maze so there is no 'back' as such. We were at the back for asylum but asked to switch with the people infront of us so we were in the middle. However, the actors go for everyone equally as much so don't worry about where you are! In MBV, you may be split up along the way however if you link arms with your friend it will be ok. The only pitch black bit is in the tunnel and the rest you can pretty much see where your going! Don't worry, the mazes aren't too bad and when you come out you will start laughing. To be honest, after my first go, the mazes become more fun than scary (:

Were there any live actors inside hocus pocus hall? Shame about the such early closing of 5 though! I'm not suprised about them only loading the front 6 rows of vampire. At thorpe they had blocked off half the rows of Colossus because it was too empty to load them up. Not sure what their problem about it being too empty was. Although saying this, it was only 2 rides wait to get on. How long was the queue for vampire in the morning, it gets long very quickly!

I hope hocus pocus hall is better on Halloween, unlike you I find it really boring, not scary AT ALL and is just a boring walkthrough. Oh, and the line on the floor in the mirror maze completely ruins the whole point of the mirror maze! I hope chessie pull something off this Halloween and make it good!

Following on with the you're next actors: On my visit, yes it was raining but all the other roaming actors were out except the you're next ones and the ONE time we did see them, they were in a group chatting about where they were going on holiday or something with their masks off. However, when I visit last Sunday cabin in the woods and the Aslyum were amazing which made up for that

Ive got the option of Fright nights from anytime from the Friday 25th October to Sunday 3rd November. This is now the major peak half term week so I was wondering what sort of queues we are looking at for these days(for rides and mazes) and what day out of these would be least busy? I was thinking Friday 25th and Sunday 3rd but can someone tell me what would hopefully be emptiest? I'm hoping to make 2 more trips so was wondering if these are the two emptiest days as I could go then? Can someone please help Many thanks guys (:

Is it cheaper than usual with only two rides then?
-
I'm going on saturday(unfortunately not with the meet!) but seeing as you guys will all be there, I am gonna say very busy I would probably estimate 90-120 min queues for the mazes like it was last Saturday. The rides will probably be about 60-90 mins. That's just my guessing! Could be a lot less busy or more busy! If I bump into you guys will say hi
-
My school is still on tomorrow! Anyone know how busy it will be at fright nights this Saturday? I'm predicting 90-120min queues? Am I right in estimating that?

CITW is definately better. There are loads of different routes to go and is a maze which can be done several times. I feel that MBV however is only worth doing once and is quite disappointing with not many scares and it is far too short. Make sure you go in the asylum though as that is by far the best maze!I can't bear to see the asylum go, I really hope it doesn't. It is such a good, long maze with so many scares and all the effects and the layout just make it brilliant. The actors inside were fantastic too. If thorpe EVER get rid of this I will be so upset, fright nights will be so much worse without it. I really hope asylum does stay and hopefully it can become an all year round thing aswell! I wouldn't mind paying £5 extra in the summer to do this fantastic maze!

Yes I know, I didn't really mean it like that. I was just saying it will be very misleading as people will go thinking they will be able to ride samurai in the dark but then they won't be... Sorry for double post! Samurai is still closed, as my friend went yesterday and it was still shut. Hope it reopens soon!
-
MBV is very fast paced and you almost run through the maze. It is very short and I would probably say disappointing. If you are in a big group, you will get split up as you are all running through the maze however it is short so you won't be split up for long. In cabin in the woods, the member of staff at the entrance asks how many you want to go round in. I believe it's up to 4 per group going round(we were in a four) so if your in a group bigger than this you will be split up! Enjoy

Sorry I made mine unclear! I was trying to cover Saturday as good as possible but I haven't visited in a Saturday so I can't!The directors fastrack was £18.50 for the four mazes but I believe they were priced at £5 each. Not too sure though as we only fastracked cabin which was £5 and the other may have been cheaper. However, we got our fastrack at 7pm and it could be used at whatever time we wanted and we just went straight to cabin and went straight in without a wait at all. That was pretty good value for money. If you don't want to risk it, I would suggest booking it online just incase but find out if you can start it a bit later. The mazes generate big queues when they open anyway as everyone goes straight to them even when the park is dead.
-
From my experience on Sunday, it was not busy so I can't help completely sorry! We got fastrack for cabin in the woods and fastracked a 90 min queue. We literally went straight in without a wait. I would predict waiting max 10-20 mins before you get to go in. Asylum and saw alive were also 90 min queues and fastrack was straight in however we didn't fastrack these. It kind of depends how much fastrack is bought and how busy the park is after half term which I unfortunately cannot answer! If it's not too busy, you can always wait until the day and see if there's any left and then your fastrack package can start from about 5/6ish if you want but this all depends if there is any fastrack left. Hope this helps

Seeing as thorpe have put a picture of samurai on their homepage, I presume it's reopen? Otherwise that is just purely false advertising...
-
Not sure so don't trust me but presuming it's the normal discount rate at £24?
-
There are a few jump scares, people blocking your pathway and a couple of actors who shove you into the tunnel which you have to crawl through. Don't worry, the maze isn't that scary and it's pretty short and it's really easy to find your way out.
-
The fastrack is good, as you go straight in. It gets rid of the nervous build up however it is good if you don't want to have to experience this! Have fun
-
So basically it's a maze? But not inside? Was thinking by scare zone they meant lots of people could just go in without having to queue but guess that's not the case...
-
No work was being done on it today! It was just sitting there all alone by itself... Poor samurai
-
It was on when it was raining in the morning. That's the only time I was near swarm! It might have broken later but the effects overall today were quite good!
-
Mist today was fantastic. When going through the volcano the mist and lights were on and couldn't actually see where I was going! Thumbs up to nemesis inferno! Saying that saws blades were broken however swarms fire was on
-
Blair witch doesn't have fastrack...Cabin in the woods and saw alive broke down today. Strange how's mazes can break down!?
-
Just got back from a cold and wet day. No rides went over 10 mins the whole day and the majority of the rides were walk on due to the rain. However, it stopped raining in the evening and the mazes got long queues. I only managed the asylum, cabin in the woods and my bloody valentine. Will post reviews on these later but thought MBV was poor, cabin the woods was good but could have been better(should have gone a longer route!) and the asylum was definately the longest and the best. Will post reviews when have done the other two on Saturday
