Lets just take a look at this situation in reality- chessie has staff. The staff are told to reach a certain target and are paid. We have vampire running on one train, trains stacked up outside safari skyway and rattlesnake stations. Kobra is taking 15 to load and unload and zufari is getting ridiculous queues. Yes, zufari's queues are MOSTLY because of this stupid photo point, but they should at least let people skip it/go around another way if you do not want your photo taken. Anyway, chessie are performing poorly, either staff are too lazy or they are being told to make queues long. I doubt the staff are too lazy as they are likely to be sacked by merlin- however, if they increase queues, merlin can make more fastrack sales and more money for merlin. So if we look at this in reality, it has to be merlin telling chessie to do this. I am also getting a bit fed up of chessies staff. Some of them are really nice however others are really pushy and bossy. We went in the sealife centre asked for our photo NOT to be taken but she made us and said 'I'm in charge therefore your photo has to be taken.' And guess what, the queue for sealife was curving all the way up to hocus pocus hall just because she was making people have their photo taken. I don't like the attitude and lazyness of the staff. People always say to me thorpe's staff are the horrid ones but I actually find thorpe's staff really kind and helpful

At least it is not as bad as Kobra which is taking 15 mins to unload and load...
-
Probably, thorpe are at least trying to get their rides open and on multi-trains but chessie just seem to be slacking at the moment...
-
I can't wait to ride it just a shame that europa park only has good coaster not flat rides
-
I know I read them aswell- it is very disappointing that the staff are working so slowly and are deliberately not loading fast enough resulting in trains to be stacked up outisde the station(on safari skyway, rattlesnake etc.) I think that they should be more efficient and on Kobra the wait is 3 hours when it should be 30 mins because they are taking 15 mins to unload and load. They really need to sort this all out...

Oops I mean 15th April I always mistake march for April these days!
-
Wait what!
-
Rattlesnake and peaking heights were originally on the update list aswell... Does this mean they will be closing them during the season? I am visiting on 15th march and my friends badly wanna ride rattlesnake! Speaking of that date... How busy will it be?
-
Yes. I know I couldn't judge it simply on speed and height but stealth does look much more impressive in every way(including the scaffolding on Rita ) this year I am off to europa park to ride blue fire which I heard is really good so I am looking forward to that it kinda makes me feel that stealth should be extended with inversions but I don't think that is a good thing to do.I have heard about how Rita cracks your neck round the first bend but it is meant to be a good ride- I will just have to wait to scarefest this year to ride it!
-
I haven't done it either but I don't get how people can compare the two- yes, Rita has more twists and turns than stealth but stealth is way higher and faster so stealth is frankly much better. That's my opinion on it anyway

RMT- brave it backwards Nothing really, I was there at zoo days and we accidentally wondered further than we should have because there was no barrier or anything! All we managed to spot though was that vampires carriages had been taken off and the buildings in Mexicana were being done up. Apart from that, nothing else appeared to be happening so I do not get in the slightest why chessie are doing this work now instead of in the closed season!
-
Not necessarily but no coasters of course because that's when 2016 steps in If you want to suggest something to be polled- and that goes for everyone- just drop me a PM and I can get it for you on a poll
-
So far extreme has seemed to just slip below flying circus on the rankings- not that either of them did well Once again guys I will give you until Thursday to vote and on Friday a new ride will be polled: I will post a clue soon but I am going to post something which can be used at a funfair but can be easily themed to fit in a theme park! If you haven't voted yet, get voting! Clue: alright guys, some(most) of you guys want a topspin at thorpe but others have said there is one at chessington so thorpe don't need one- this is like a TOPSPIN but on a new dimension. So whoever thought something like a topspin wasn't good at thorpe, think again! And on this ride, almost every kind of themeing is possible

Yes, this happens to me aswell! I am typing and then suddenly it comes up with 'you have been kicked from the chat room' and I have to refresh. I always come back in asking who's kicked me and no one says they have but know I know why I do use the mobile version quite a lot though!

How many drops will the pirate flume have? I was watching the IX indoor amusement park video today and they have a new log flume which has two drops. I thought it was very clever because they hold the log at the very top(for the big drop) until the other car on the smaller drop is about to go down and they both go down synchronised making you soaked! Saying that, the drops were pretty close together but if the pirate flume was like that it would be cool if they could make it timed so you could get more wet! It looks cooler aswell

Just going back to this, alton may say one of the elements is an 'inversion' but it might not ACTUALLY go upside down. It is like how they classified the tilt incline loop of the swarm as an 'inversion' when it does not actually make you go upside down

Hope he gets better. It is quite unlucky that you could not go this weekend as saw and Colossus were both open and the queues are not actually that long. It is a real shame you missed mash up aswell Putting that aside, I don't think it will be much busier as it has been pretty much empty during most of Easter. Queues have not reached over an hour and most have stayed under 30 minutes. So hopefully it won't be too busy next weekend. Just to say, this weekend the longest queue has been 40 mins for stealth(according to ride hopper) so hopefully it won't be busier than that next weekend although you can never REALLY predict how busy it is going to be. Hope this helps

Are you actually allowed to sit backwards if you want to? Some log flumes ACTUALLY have reverses so it turns the whole car round and you are doing part of the ride backwards and part of the ride forwards. It is actually quite a good idea, stick a reverser before the first drop and do that backwards then another reverser after it so you can do the second drop forwards. The only thing is, having reversers massively reduce throughput!

I'm not sure as far as I'm aware but it would not suit it AT ALL. I can just picture everyone dancing in a queue line surrounded by death traps

I wanna come to the meet I'm still a maybe tho so there is hope

Sorry guys about this 'late' entry, I never got round to doing it yesterday: Just to remind you, you vote on these three questions: Would you ever ride it? Would it fit in at a UK theme park? Would you put it in thorpe park? The ride up this week is... Extreme ride! There are many versions of this but I have got a video of the 4 arm one, of course if thorpe DID get one of these they would be better off with a 6 arm: So guys, get voting and most importantly... Could it be the 2014 ride at thorpe park?
-
Well it's not exactly a dream I've had... It's one of MY dreams I have wanted to become a theme park owner for the last couple of years and have designed the whole park. The park is named 'thrill palace' and features many attractions including the UKS SCARIEST: the forbidden castle! I am not going to say anything else because I hate people stealing my ideas but I do hope to own this theme park in the future
-
I am gonna ride it for the first time on 16th April and I am worried about stopping upside down... Is it a common thing? And also is it true that they make you drop out of your seats on to big crash mats?
-
Oh, all I remember was that last year at Easter Colossus had the silent disco queue! Has nemmy inferno had it yet? The other rides could see them putting it in is X but I'm not sure that would ever happen!
