  1. Well I know that. But doesn't stop there being an overreaction in some parts.
  2. It's hard to tell... but looking at the layout, it looks pretty flat with the ground hugging banked turn at the beginning, and shorter track... I'm not sure how high it is in comparison to ben 10, but certainly seems like it will be faster on the backwards section.
  3. that estop button is by the entrance? and there's usually a member of staff there anyway, so probably won't be too much different. although I can see so many rules and procedures in place in as part of an overreaction of health and safety, some probably ridiculous.
  4. I'm not sure if it has been mentioned, or if people are still confused how big top will work with the different tents and entrances on different sides of the island. I think the website for fright nights has updated since for big top.... so it will use all 3 tents, with the first entrance being the fortune teller, and then onto the other tent being a fun house, and then under the bridge to the other side of the beach to the carnival grounds where the main big top is. Sounds so promising!! Start your visit and discover what your future holds at the ancient fortune teller where the tarot cards will reveal your fate as you enter this circus like no other - this is where your journey begins. As you enter the hall of mirrors keep your eyes open but don’t look too closely… there may be others watching. Search quickly to find your way out but beware, the worst is yet to come. Journey through the carnival’s funhouse, once a place of laughter, now a haunting monument to the twisted revenge of The Figaro Bros. Become a part of their twisted game to see if you can avoid the same fate as those who have come before you. To make your ultimate escape, walk along old carnival grounds as you approach THE BIG TOP – the main circus tent where The Figaro Bros. dressing room lies. Complete with a life sized Jack in the Box; it is here where you’ll experience your final encore. Will you escape the Carnival Like No Other?
  5. more hotels doesn't necessarily mean more guests... they're just trying to squeeze more money out of the guests that go. that's their logic to spend money on things that directly have a return. like hotels or pay extra things like the new treetop thing at towers, and one that will be coming to chessington next year.
  6. I've been on pepsi max twice... Once back in like 2008 and remember it being terrible. Done it last year, say very back row and the first drop was incredible... But the rest of the ride is just so boring, no airtime and just length for the sake of it. Infusion is too rough to enjoy and in the middle rows almost rocks back and forth on the inversions like you're stalling, just not enjoyable. The woodies do show their age a lot and are nothing in comparison to Megafobia. The park itself has become a very clean and nice place over the recent years and nice to see with their new additions, and Valhalla being amazing when the effects decide to work... Let's hope the new coaster for 2017 does happen and maybe it will have a substantial coaster making BPB worth the visit, as for most of us down south it's too far to go for just a day!
  7. I know you love BPB which is fair enough... but to say BPB has a superior ride lineup is a very bold statement, considering the age and sheer roughness of the majority of their ride lineup. Agreed they have the best water/dark ride in the UK, but I really wouldn't say BPB has a superior ride lineup in comparison to Thorpe & Towers though.
  8. I'm sure they were giving them out free for most of the season due to their poor ride availability... the chances are you might be lucky enough to get one for free as for actually buying bounce back tickets it does not give any information online which is a shame, so I do not know.
  9. I have only been once this year before the smiler accident happened, and I remember the strobes being used, although they aren't on permanently, but the projection mapping ensures the room isn't completely dark surely? And besides riding it, yes I guess the annoying theme tune I do indeed miss, just becomes a bit too much to handle after a while aha!
  10. I miss the actual ride itself.........
  11. I haven't even been to disneyland paris!! EDIT: but they don't have any B&M's so it's okay...
  12. yeah I seen that, I am hoping it is a good replacement of the vampire haunting one... as I absolutely loved that, and it was genuinely terrifying in places, fitted very well as a bridge the gap between that and thorpes gory horror mazes. Also gutted that the amazing version of hocus pocus from the least couple of years isn't returning... I wonder if it will go back to the hocus pocus hall it was in previous halloweens, the same as the basic hocus pocus with glasses, just with some actors in the different scenes? although I swear that was advertised as an attraction previously... so would be a poor show if they didn't have a few actors in it...
  13. it's the vests.... when you're tall and they go tight they literally dig in so much to your collar bone and tops of your shoulders which is very uncomfortable once the ride has hit the brake run and you've realised how tight it is!
  14. I think the people who can enjoy rough rides are lucky, so I do envy you a little bit actually... as even saw and Colossus give me a headache... so a day at blackpool, as much as I want to enjoy it definitely leaves me with a lasting headache! And trying to keep on topic... thats why I love B&M's so much... when the smoothness is on point
  15. I can see where swarm lacks in length, over the years it's open its been open it has definitely become more forceful and a solid ride for that reason, just like nemesis inferno... but everyone has opinions, just be a little more respectful. Because personally I think infusion is a pile of s*** and too rough to be enjoyable, just like most of blackpools coasters, but that's my opinion, yours is fine jordan, but don't think everyone has to be like you, because from the sounds of it I really don't envy and don't want to be like you.
  16. Dragon Khan is the only disappointing B&M I've ridden, I found it quite force less, rattly, and in general a let down after hearing such great things about it. As for the other b&m's my top 3 are made up of them.. 1: Shambhala 2: Nemesis 3: Nemesis Inferno The other B&Ms in the UK The Swarm & Oblivion are in my top 10. As for the Hulk, Kraken, Montu, Duelling Dragons and Kumba in florida, from what I remember they were amazing rides, with Montu being my favourite ride altogether from Florida, but as it was back in 2005, I class it too long ago to realistically compare.
  17. Going on the Sunday, can't wait... I did go back in 2013 and from what I remember it was some sort of alien theme... I mean the fireworks were decent but the theme and choice of voiceover and music to go with it I personally found a bit boring. But with the extra aspect of props etc. And an actual storyline I guess, should be really good! I'm sure it still won't leave a mark on towers fireworks.
  18. Well to start with my name is Dean. Middle name Gary. Last name Cox.Not just 'Gary', am I allowed to be offended by this? My post was never going to go down well with everyone, I fully well knew that, I haven't posted it solely to cause controversy or for the banter, but I've put my point of view accross on the situation and how pathetic it is that people easily get offended and rather than trying to fix the problem, point the blame to someone else when something is brought up about it. It's a forum, yes I've met some great people on here, but have I really come on here to be friends and be a suck up and agree with everyone, that's not how it works when I always seem to have a different opinion to other people, but people like me are usually too scared to speak up and just keep quiet while watching others be a sheep and follow the crowd! Or decide to speak up and this situation happens, so I just can't help but be amused by it.
  19. Am I on track for rudest member award... I'm not even trying!
  20. I wouldn't say it is an attack, nor is it uncalled for, and I'm happy to see scales, I'm just wondering how long before we see strings of complaints about it... it's just the sad reality with rides with weight restrictions and they just say certain amount of adults and children to save the issue with weighing people, as some larger people seem to kick up a fuss when weighing is involved, but not having scales in the situation of alton towers waterpark master blaster ruins it for people like me who want to ride with another adult and would be under 20stone but can't etc. this is what I mean though people are too scared to say boo to a ghost because it might offend them, even if it's sometimes it's the truth they can't handle... I wasn't being rude, I just feel I'm saying it as it is. I didn't know the actual limit to be fair on dragons fury, but I brought up the master blaster situation for example to prove my point about how cover rules rather than actual weight can mess things up a bit.
  21. I reckon we will see something for 2017 to try and compete with towers... we seen the 3 parks (BPB, Alton Towers & Drayton Manor), all introduce new coasters back in 1994... maybe we will see it happen again... drayton manor do have a decent bit of space next to buffalo coaster and potentially over the lake (although not sure what planning permissions they can have).
  22. oops my bad, '20 stone'! I can't wait... thanks!
  23. I for one am glad there are scales, as it's these heavier people that are probably cause these stupid rules of maximum adults and allow worse throughput (although blame should be put on the bad ride hardware initially)... usually due to political correctness gone mad it's not fair to weigh 'obese' people as they don't like it!? it's unfair on us smaller people who want to ride together and can't. and this is the way I can see theme park rides going where they make larger restraints making the height and age limit higher just to suit large people as they're the ones who complain, when in probably most cases it's their fault they're that large. Had this issue at alton towers waterpark where the master blaster is a 20 stone weight limit, but for the sake of not wanting to offend people they just say max 1 adult and 1 child; so if me and my mum or friend for example wanted to go on as we'd weigh under 20 stone together we're not allowed as they don't have scales to prove it; so we complained on the way out saying it's discriminating against us, they looked so shocked, but they really shouldn't, it's just people are usually too scared to speak up unless they're fat and offended.
  24. Air time... Intamin Megalite (Piraten) or the Mack equivalent (Alpina Blitz)... They look awesome rides with relatively low height and smallish footprint, and not mega expensive. Or I guess if we're going for 'up for it families' then although I love big coasters, I'm up for a family thrill coaster like 13, or the family Intamin (bike) launch coasters like Juvelen, they really look awesome and great fun
  25. Basically like several rows of seats in what actually is made to look like a bus with open windows all around eye level. Then a curved screen that surrounds the whole bus, so unless you choose to look at the floor or the ceiling (if you're on the edge of the rows), then you'd actually be completely immersed in the full surrounding screen... And apparently the bus moves like a simulator with it, but it was completely stationary when I done it.
