  1. haven't been following this post on this forum... but just thought I'd share my thoughts. In the game there are 2 inversions missing which come after the first inverted drop (which would make the inversion count up to 13, I feel this set of 2 inversions will make up one of the 7 top secret upgrades, as well as having a level 3 upgrade on each of the 5 marmaliser effects; leaving 1 top secret upgrade left, which could be the rumored secret element of the washing machine trick track; there was an also an image from the game which showed what appeared to be the wording 15 rotations, so 2 rotations from the washing machine element would make up the 15 rotations/inversion - world first & world beating!
  2. As someone mentioned previously about you should still feel your'e in thorpe park when riding the swarm as if the aliens have taken over the park, the billboard should be designed with the thorpe park logo so it appears as their own advertising billboard being destroyed by the swarm!?
  3. regarding the two existing top spins... over the past few years every time I have been on ripsaw it has been rubbish, like the first go on rameses revenge, but the second part of the ride (which I think is a really good idea) is great fun, and just really wished alton towers ran ripsaw on a better setting,
  4. I heard that Saw Alive will be open on Fright Nights though... but its future after that is definitely questionable.
  5. Bottom right of this page, 'Back to The Future' ahaha, now I've got that out the way... Does no one else just think they're going to reiterate the original themeing of X:\ No Way Out and give the ride general TLC... and then possibly turn the trains forwards; but I think if they've moved it the the Thrilling & Fun section they would have changed the height restriction as well if it is the case the height is now lower.

I would like it if it was still to run backwards with a good retheme... just really hope the brake sections where it decides to drop you back the way you cam slightly and then back forwards again etc. doesn't happen and just stops you or slowly takes you up the hill bit. As I have a really bad fear of this ride thinking the brakes or whatever it is, is going to fail and drop you back into the track the way you came!
  7. just beat me to it... and didn't know how to link a picture haha
  8. has anyone just seen thorpes latest facebook post... it's a picture of the swarm in the station with a cover over the rides train... and they said 'We've got a surprise for you....' please don't let it be...
  9. I'm surprised noone has mentioned this... Thorpe mention about several (at least 2) surprises (not new rides as discussed), and the clues do seem to lead to the swarm - evolution of swarm - sting in tail of swarm - backwar. So could we be seeing an x retheme as well as something regarding the swarm or something else?
  10. I still think the whole idea of the back rows being turned backwards, is a load of rubbish, and for many reasons as stated above, should just not happen! but lost for ideas on what else their clue could mean as this swarm rumor was the first thing that came to mind!
  11. what about the lift hill, in the event of evacuation... surely seats facing down the hill, like leaning forwards isn't safe.
  12. vangance is always the possibility in the time voyagers building... and if it gets a new ride theme and video, could easily be advertised as a brand new ride, like storm surge was.
  13. when they closed samurai to fix it, there was a sign saying closed, open again for 2013 season... and they did it quick enough to open it for fright nights, so I'm pretty sure the repair/maintenance was more of a permanent fixture.
  14. if this is indeed a medium investment year... I don't really see the crash pad as much of an investment, as its only temporary, and the returns in the first year alone would more or less cover the cost of it plus profit... so I'm hoping, if it is a medium investment year, and the fact Thorpe said there would be something new, to see a new flat ride (possibly located next to the asylum horror maze building, due to the new fencing), as well as an X No Way Out retheme. Just my thoughts and hopes
  15. yeah got the investment thing confused, so this yer in terms of the 3-year cycle is a small one... but as there is this year and next year til the medium investment of the hotel and then the large investment in 2016 for the coaster. Just by the way the rumours are speculating and the fact thorpe state surprises for this year makes me wonder what sort of investment they are putting in.
  16. ah right all seems to make sense... so what sort of investment, in their 3-year cycle would this year be then? or they have probably scrapped the 3-year cycle and gone with whatever is best between now and the next coaster in 2016... that just leaves this year and next year for new rides/attractions, before opening a hotel if the crash pad is successful and then onto the coaster the year after. any plans where the proposed hotel would go out of interest?
  17. yes I heard that was the other location, but didn't think about the CrashPad being located there... so it does seem more and more likely that will be the location of their next rollercoaster which has been pushed back to 2016, any news on why it has been pushed back a year, instead of fitting their 3 year investment trend they have seem to had for while; big investment (2009, 2012), medium investment (2010), small investment (2011)...
  18. when their website says surprises... I'm thinking re theme of x no way out, and vengance 5d themed around the swarm, being evolution?
  19. I'm new to the forums, but stay with me on this one... having been looking at Thorpe Parks satellite images on both Bing & Google, I can see that the image on Bing shows what looks like the land being prepared for Saw: The Ride, so would guess this image is from around mid 2008 or before; Looking at the Satellite image on Google Maps, it shows Saw: The Ride being built, as well as being able to see the marquees used for fright night mazes, so would guess this is from the end of 2008, the fascinating thing about this, is that you can see work being done on the area where the queue for Saw: Alive is to be in 2010, and now 2 islands on the other side of the park have appeared, one which is now The Swarm island, and the other which is a possible location for 'The Next Big Thing'. My point is, this shows how far back they have planned the location for rides, like The Swarm's island being built back in 2008, I know to build an island safe to be constructed on takes a while, but the fact they built the island that far back and then to have a ride built on it, makes me think the other island which was also never in the Bing Maps image is to be the location of the new coaster rumored to come in 2015 or 2016!
