Chessington General Discussion
Me too. For anyone who was going Sunday, they can go on Wednesday when the park fully re-opens. 3 days isn't going to kill anyone. I saw on a Theme UK update that the main path past Hocus Pocus Hall and the Chicken Shack has been resurfaced this year. It looks very smart and smooth, but that's the last area of the park I expected them to resurface. The old one seemed OK and although a little gritty, it looked nice and blended in with the surroundings nicely.

Park Music
Hi-pitch or normal? How did it ever get on hi-pitch, did someome make a mistake?

Samurai
Exactly - balancing. And I do believe Slammer works on a similar scale, I know that they do have to get the same amount of people in each paddle (or nearer).

Cripes, I didn't even realise it had disappeared. Can't have been for long!

Rant
Mia, I know many people who work their arses off too. If anything I respect them. So in light of that, despite what I said yesterday, I do realise it sounds hypocritical. Some foreigners come to this country and do a good job, others not so well. My main rant is that it's London that you seem to find the majority. How are they prehistoric? OK, you got me there, I've read it back and realised it didn't add up, and edited it now. Anyway, time to end this now before it spirals outs of control. I've said what I think and I won't apologise for my views, even if you don't agree. Anyone can PM me to discuss further if they wish.

Something we can all agree on there (Colossus) but I don't think it will be repainted soon.

Madame Tussauds London
One Direction have been around a while now, I'm surprised its taken this long to get them waxed!

Rant
Yes we're talking McDonalds but my main rant is at London's shops and restaurants generally, McDonalds and other fast food places are where it all stems from!

Rant
Oh, believe me, what I write here is just the tip of the iceberg about London, but I'm really not gonna go down that route! Someone who can understand what I order or buy without screwing it up! Not exactly too much to ask.

The Smiler
Let's hope so, but the way this construction project has gone I wouldn't your breath!

SAW: The Ride
Let's be realistic here. A drop towards swinging axes, a vertical lift hill, a very steep drop and the spinning blades. These are all things you wouldn't find on an average coaster!

The Burger Kitchen is finished now and ready to go, as far as I'm aware.

It's our own capital city and we can't even be served by our own nationality - it's a sign of these desperate times, and has been like it for years!

Chessington General Discussion
Oops! So Thorpe balls it up the other year, Chessington this year. What a let down, good job I wasn't going. For those who have loads of free time, another waiting until the 20th won't hurt!

Rant
I've probably ranted about this before and it's a grudge I shall forever hold no doubt. It's the foreign workers in McDonalds and other fast-food outlets in London. When I go to my own capital city I expect to be served by an English person. I've had this debate with many people before and they say to me it's because nobody else wants those type of jobs, which I understand. If you told someome to get a job in McDonalds, you'd be laughed off, but their wages and staff benefits aren't that much different to many other employers these days.

Games console or mobile gaming?
I won't pay for any games - I say that, but lately I have spent a few quid on Diamond Dash. I set myself a limit of no more than £5 a month, what harm can that do, providing that you keep to it and don't let it spiral out of control.

Games console or mobile gaming?
I had a Sega Megadrive when I was young, as mentioned I now have a PS2 and own 4 games for it; Sonic Mega Collection, Need For Speed Carbon, The Getaway and AirBlade. All very simple games and addictive. As for mobile gaming, I enjoy Diamond Dash and Bubble Island via Facebook, also as apps on the iPad and phone. Bubble Island isn't on the phone. There is a 3rd game I play through Facebook called Superball, and I have been stuck on level 30 for about 10 months now and just cannot progress. I am in 2 minds whether to start the game over just to progress, as I just cannot get the required score whatever I do.

Merlin annual pass drinks capsule 2013
So it costs £16, the straw doesn't always work and it leaks a little bit. The design is the only thing that's changed on these capsules - not the quality, and I shall never buy one again, thankfully I haven't done for years now. What a take-on.

How many of you guys are going on Thursday 14th March?
So, Jack Frost has been out in force heavily overnight, and here we are on the first day of the season. You guys are brave to go today, I'm in the right place (the warm). Unfortunately I won't get there for about another 10 days, meh. I recently mentioned in the Stealth topic about how cold it was when I first rode it back in 2006. Ride Stealth today in these temperatures and you'll know how I felt!

I think you're probably right on this one, they do seem to milk it!
