  1. Why? It was like that for years. Somehow I think it's not gonna go "naked" again.

Let's not jump to conclusions, I for one, am used to Thorpe keeping us in suspense! Let's face it, X:\ running backwards is a commonly-known part of the ride for all rollercoaster fans!
  3. Alex, are you saying that Saw was not done properly? Because I think it has been superbly done, so please give us an example of one not done properly.
  4. I go to Alton Towers twice a year for a 2-day visit each, and I can safely say they are much more friendly and helpful up there than down south! Heck, even the locals are friendly, I stay not too far from the park and visit the local pub, I visit so often the locals in the pub remember me!
  5. Didn't realise that, but yes. I'm not sure what I prefer out of the Original Source sponsorship or Dr Pepper. Both were good. The Original Source sponsorship made me go and start using it, I don't now.
  6. The only entertainment we sometimes get treated to are the stack of naked mannequins! Good night on the town by the looks of things...
  7. Yes, I found it quite comfortable and an OK ride. A few years ago before it closed my mate got whiplash as we came off the lift hill and down the first drop. My mate has size 15 feet so always struggles to get his feet in, and the same with Colossus.
  8. Yeah, things have slacked on Vampire lately.
  9. Exactly - the past sponsorships the ride has had have been better.
  10. "Everything has been designed for your comfort and enjoyment." It's not the most comfiest!
  11. I have just read this on Wikipedia about Bubbleworks: In all these years I've never heard of Tidal Wave being sponsored by Cussons. Was it a plan that was canned?
  12. Burn it, sink it, tow it. Let's just get shot of this barge. It's old, it's ugly (even with Saw branding) and not the biggest fan of floating things.
  13. Simple answer - you can't. I think 2013 will be a year of trying out new restaurants at the parks for me. At Chessington, The Burger Kitchen, Zufari Bar and Grill and the Creaky Cafe, then at Thorpe the Roast and Relish. And at Alton Towers the Woodcutters Bar and Grill near Dark Forest. You never know, I may even chance the Chicken Shack for a change at Chessington. They should ditch that or the FCC near Rameses. The Coffee place on the corner of Towers Street near Storybook Land does nice food.
  14. I remember there being some confusion over it.
  15. Of course they have to check them every morning and get them passed, they don't run the rides empty just because the feel like it! I remember a few years back, towards the end of a season, there was a metal height pole stuck in Quantum's tree - it was still there the following March!
  16. Of all the food outlet conversions that is the one I am most gutted about. I liked the logo, there was 2 versions I think: And has anyone ever seen the outdoor BBQ used? Because I haven't! Also, the back entrance to the toilets (near the lockers and queue board in Market Square is forever locked now, it's a pest!
  17. All of the videos are on TowersTimes and can be downloaded. I heard the guy in the videos used to work at the resort? I am warming to it too now I've seen it, I just hope it doesn't flake off after 6 months!
  18. Yes, it appears they are keeping to this Healthy choice range they offer.
  19. I refer to what I originally said: Then you said: So just move it, not take it away (if the queuelien is ever changed). And yes, I remember the early 2008 days of 3 trains too, why isn't the 3rd used now? It's just a huge pile of of a train sitting on the side!
  20. I never realised it was repainted, they do such a good job of it and it looks the same every year. Can't believe it's 10 years old this year, too.
  21. Bingo - I knew it! Until a jetski comes along and soaks you, hehe.
  22. There's plenty of horsemeat going about for a substitute! Yes, 2 meals for £6 is a good deal, although I don't recall seeing that offer, I shall keep an eye out for it. Lol, I'm not engraged.
  23. They shouldn't leave an empty building but this is Thorpe we're talking about, so what are the chances?! I don't really care if it doesn't re-open, I've only been in it once or twice and when I first heard the news about it's opening, my thoughts were "Saw is done, built, and working - just leave it alone!" When I did go in though, I kept getting told off for letting go of the person in front of me, they wouldn't listen when I explained when that person kept running off uncontrollably, so it wasn't my fault! No, as I said. If it does go though, I am struggling to see what they'll put in it's place, the island is quite small. Also, does anyone know how old that barge is?
  24. No, that's just idiotic, and it isn't the first time this has happened. Once, my friend ordered a chicken salad which hardly had any chicken, so we complained, sent it back and it was sorted. They seem to have some right moby's working in that kitchen. Decent sized meals, good tasting, and a good price with your Pass discount, yes. My only issue is the bar service is too slow and the wait can sometimes be long. Also, there's never enough tables inside, I know there's plenty outside but it's only on the colder days I go there (I get drawn into the warm!).
  25. I don't think I explained it properly - I was refering to the kiosk halfway through the queue.
