  1. hey. could you check thorpe park? it says it's open, but yet the rides say they are not updated same with the spanish park. it's saying not updated and I know I keep going on about it... but universal!. please add the universal parks!
  2. the fact they are getting rid of skyway does not surprise me. for the last 2 seasons it has stopped operating mid season. do we know what's replacing it? their's a lot of things I want answers too next year 1 is, what was going on in all that time toomb blaster was down (surely it wasn't because it was broken. that ride is reliable) 2. how many years is left for vampire?. it's getting old now, and I read somewhere that 25 years is the standard time for those sorts of coasters (which would have made it close for good at the end of 2015). it's bheen their since 1990 and the last is obviously, what, if anything, is going to replace safari skyway.
  3. what's chessington losing. anything major? loggers has been a part of thorpe for ages (either since 87 or 89)
  4. thank you for the insight in to why toomb blaster is closed I'm glad that it's not to do with the actual ride (that will all run smoothly when it reopens), but because of safety concerns
  5. I can apreciate that fact, sort of. I agree that the park arn't obliged to say something like- well, toomb's down because it's broken and we're trying to fix it (in fact highly un professional that) but, what they can say, is if it's going to open again this season, or if they are waiting for a part what's wrong with them saying - we regret to inform adventurers that due to circumstances beyond our control, toom blaster will not be open for the remainder of the 2015 season same for if it's waiting for a part. if they can say that about vampire, they can say it about toomb. this is why I say that they don't know. toomb's been down for weeks now- which tells me it's not a simple fix
  6. I don't even think chessington know why toomb is not open. at least if they did the site would surely say something by now
  7. and safari skyway. that's been closed for a while too now. rattlesnake- because of the smiler safari skyway- no idea, but it was shut a lot last year towards the end of the season too (and shut for the remainder actually!). I don't remember them opening that even for the halloween event toom blaster- it's unnatural for that ride to be closed. terror toom/ 5th dimention used to be shut a lot (I remember that). either toom blaster is closed because it's waiting for a part (vampire at the start of the season), the staff are fixing some of the broken targets, or, it's closed because they are retheming it to the halloween atraction (I know that has something to do with a forbidden toomb) and toom blaster seems a good place to do it though if the latter, they are keeping it a big secret. when hocus pocus hall was closed, they said on the site- this ride is closed because we're refurbishing it to the mystery of hocus pocus hall. the same can be said for vampire and the start of the season. they actually said, vampire's closed.. we're waiting for a part. I think toomb blaster has gone seriously wrong
  8. my thoughts: I agree that their needs to be female moderators. you get that everywhere now- forums trying to equal it out.. some males, some females. and it even extends beyond forums to things like TV shows (for example BBC pannel shows must always now have a female member of the pannel). I don't have anything to say about what you say about how females are treated. personally since I've been a member here, no one's treated me like that
  9. did they actually say that about vortex? I'm actually smiling because I didn't think that the staff could tell the guests why the rides were closed. but if they actually said that word for word.. I need to find it on youtube. or something
  10. hi. thanks for posting this website it's 1 of my hobbies.. observing the parks and their queue times, even though I'm not actually their. (not sure why, it just is). so I've totally been having fun with this! just a few observations (I hope you don't mind?) I noticed in the magic kingdom area, their is no information about the tomorrowland transet authority which led me to believe the ride had been removed. but I checked wikipedia and it is still their also in silver dollar city, it says a lot of them were updated 45 years ago. (that's weird!) and quite hard to believe. chessington wasn't even a theme park 45 years ago could some more parks be aded? I'd like to see aditions of universal orlando and island of adventure, and also seaworld orlando hope you understand all I'm doing is giving feeback on your site. not saying you did a terrible job (far from it!). I love the site
  11. can I point something out? (I've only actually just noticed this!) in the thorpe park's past, you spelt revisit wrongg. well not actually in the forum itself, but the description of it
  12. personally, if RR did go, I'd like them to replace it with a new atraction... a new one entirely new starts are always good when it comes to theme parks
  13. Inferno, thank you for that. Actually want to try this now... I knew about "turn windows features on or off", but didn't know you could open up the individual sections. Thank you
  14. I did read about this, and it's a real shame RR is such a good ride... I've ridden it many times over the years- while I don't think it will be repaired (11 years old all ready!) plus as some people said in this thread people will lose faith in it, I don't think chessington can rise to the ocasion if it came to replacing it... I really don't. their's no talk about anything as far as I know, and I think it would be interesting if it came to that has the insident put me off riding RR? not at all..... I think, what happens, happens. to have the same thing happen too in such a short space of time is just highly unlikely
  15. a few weeks ago now, I made the foolish mistake of turning windows media player off. so I installed winamp, and it worked fine.. it had it's bits I didon't like, but my cd ripper which I usually use... power to go, won't work as I don't have my media player turned on (I can't figure out how to turn it back on!) so can anyone advise me how to turn it back on, or if not, suggest me a new cd ripping software I can install thank you emily
  16. it's my next project... to try and get lots of chessington music! all I currently have is the entrance music- so I'm really gonna try and find some.. maybe at least 1 track from every atraction (accept for the general music of transalvania) because it actually makes me shiver.
  17. mary... like your thinking! I'm a bit of a junk food fan too and is burger kitchen really that bad? I'm not saying it isn't.. I've not been to it- but what is so bad about it?
  18. if they change asylum, then please.. don't change the end part!. I love that bit- was the best part get rid of the curse if you must, I liked the curse but can live without it what I want to know is if their's going to be a show.. or anything- that theater where time voyagers/ pirates 4d used to be always had some sort of show.. is the theater even still their?. I've not been since it closed. maybe an outdoor show? but then what could they do..
  19. hi. so when you all go to chessington where do you eat?. and what do you think of the prices and the quality of the food (I'm gonna get a mod to do 1 of these threads for thorpe!) personally, I love eating at the chicken place in the forbidden kingdom- it's so tasty... I love that kind of chicken I also eat at burger king sometimes- though I strongly dissagree with chessington getting rid of mcdonalds.. I do prefer that
  20. yes.... I suppose so, but then you have the crowd noises a lot of the time for example: I wanted 1 of the bubbleworks, and the only ones I could find was recorded in the station.. and while the music was their, the crowd was too loud to hear any of it- same goes for toom blaster. too many people mutter among themselves
  21. bump. does no one have any Chessington music to share?
  22. hi, yeah... I do like some of the thorpe mazes. I enjoy the curse, the asylum, and C7N- I really want to do saw alive but my family are far too scared of it... so!. hahaha! love my horror
  23. 2 reasons I won't do this ride: 1. I don't like water- with bubble works I can do a good job of avoiding it, but with falls... even if I sit right at the back, I'm going to get soaked by the end of it- and also when I've looked at it before the place where the boat goes.. when it leaves the station actually looks scary oh and, this is a stupid reason for not doing it, but I also think.. or used to if I don't get on the boat quick enough, I'm going to fall in to the water and float away. seriously!. I can just see the look on the dragon falls operators face... hey, stop the ride- because we have a person in the water.... but in all seriousness, if that happened, I'd probably drown
  24. my hands get well tired by the end of this atraction!. hahaha!. I always wonder.. how can anyone hold a gun for all that time?. I like it though despite my constant low scores.. best part is the snakes
