I'll be there the 17th but I don't want to read about the Big Top in detail as I want it to be a surprise! Hopefully the event is better than the last two years.

Yeah it was called Air. The last night was last night but I missed it I'll go on it next year if it's there again! It was 6 pounds per person I believe and nobody I was with wanted to ride.

I really hope The Big Top is fab, it sounds promising. I just hope they cover up the ground with sand/dirt or something, as the blue base of the pool looks so ugly!

Second photo literally makes me so excited to ride this. The rocks look a lot better from the ground and not from above Chiapas!

It looks like the non-inverted loop on HRRR but all weird and odd looking. That drop though, oh my god.

This is a random question hardly related to Samurai... You know the Bling rides that are like Samurai on a stick and it spins, are they actually fun to ride? There's one at my local goose fair and I don't know whether it's worth the extortionate fee to ride!

They started weeks ago Looks fabulous though as always. Hopefully they'll announce an opening date soon so I can book flights/hotel etc for a few weeks afterwards. Also I was browsing phantafriends.de earlier and it's pretty much confirmed that there's a Vekoma coaster of some kind coming to Phantasialand too!

I know I'm one to talk, but if we just don't react to Jordanluke2009's posts from now on he'll get bored eventually. That is unless he has something constructive to say.

It's just one of many reasons that together make a bad impression on the park. Samurai is shut, that's a major flat ride that always has a queue. Slammer was down for ages. Tidal Wave is now closed too. Then add all the other reasons me and JoshC have mentioned, and I'd say they're not having the best time currently!

How were you confused? I clearly said in my post... It's painful because of the vests, so no, I don't think I needed to word my post better!

I don't think that's completely true. I see what you mean about how they're not true wooden coasters, but people love them because of the ride experience, not just because of the materials they're made out of.

ChessingtonSam, everything Toofpikk wrote in his last post is spot on. Please just listen to him because he knows what he's doing. I've had the same texture issue in the past (although it wasn't a result of being gullible), and the solutions Toofpikk has suggested are the only way to fix your problem. As he also mentioned, it's getting quite frustrating now because we want to help whoever has any issues but you need to listen to it instead of fighting it

Nah I'd say it's in bad times tbh. It's dirty, multiple rides closed (and the reliability of those operating isn't fantastic). There's just not a nice atmosphere anymore whenever I visit, and it's a shame because they have some great coasters and flats at the park. Shame about Tidal Wave, it looked amazing at Fright Nights and it's one of the main things I remember from my first visit during FN back in 2010 Ugh. Thorpe </3 I want to love the place but I just can't at the moment.

I think I would rate Swarm in my top 10 if it was slightly longer, and those god awful vests didn't have the locking pins on the shoulders. It's literally what destroys the ride for me, and because I'm tall, it's agonising. The layout, although short, is actually really good and has some amazing moments of speed and force. However I can't like it because of the pain

Interesting, but this is a B&M discussion You know, B&M, your favourite manufacturer apparently. You're talking down to people as if you've been across the globe and have been on every coaster there is to ride. I for one hate Port Aventura. I think Dragon Khan was fab and Shambhala looks good, but the park is overrated in my opinion. Does it bother me if people love that park? No, not even a little. Does it bother me that people like Swarm even though I'm not a huge fan? No. The fact you're calling people basic and getting way too into it says a lot about you! Just because somebody hasn't been outside the UK, or hasn't been on as many rides doesn't mean their opinions on rides they have ridden are less valid than yours.

Favourites are probably Nemesis, Black Mamba, Oblivion and Krake! Air I thought was dull, Swarm is meh, Inferno is fun but quite average. Black Mamba the first time round was kind of meh too, however once you ride on the front row I'd say it's second to Nemesis for me. Although the second half of the layout is really fun and twisty, it feels like there's nothing exciting to come which is a shame Krake is fab. Oblivion is great too although I'd rate Krake just above it for the airtime on the loop and on the camel back.

Indeed. And as for the disgusting TotNH building, apparently that's also the entrance to Fantissima, which means until an alternative can be found for that, TotNH isn't going anywhere Can't imagine it's impossible to find another venue for a dinner show though, surely?

What, Taron? No this is for the new hotel + waterpark which was planned and submitted earlier in the year. It was going to be on the large bit of forest opposite the main entrance, however a few of the neighbours were not happy about it (as usual). Sorry I should have made it clear in my first comment

Ok so apparently the application for the expansion has been denied and this was quite a few weeks ago now (I've only just found out however). I think they're going to try another time however it's not looking good!
