  1. Kicking up this topic again and this is just something I happened to come across. I was on RMC’s Instagram yesterday to see Thorpe Park follow them. This could mean absolutely nothing but strange to see them following them when they have no ties.
  2. I'd love to know where people have got this idea that X is going to be themed to The Walking Dead? I'm not saying that it's not going to happen but is there any evidence behind this so called rumor or are people assuming because X's entrance has been removed. We may just be seeing a TLC of things being replaced and brought back to life. I wouldn't look to deeply into it till we know more of have more images confirming the rumor.
  3. Enthusiasts having to announce the rides manufacture out loud to everyone in a queue, pretty sure the GP don't give a two... Like most people have said people comparing both NInferno and Nemesis. (Yes I prefer Inferno but thats beyond the point) People who think that the rollercoaster could fly of the rails especially when they are on it. (That would be ironic...) When enthusiasts give incorrect stats. (Watching a NInferno lift climb on YT and being told that NInferno is 43/45mph...)
  4. Am I reading into this too much or are they dropping a subtle hint? ?
  5. I think Nemesis Inferno is far more superior to Nemesis (my opinion - ready for the hate)
  6. Went to Thorpe on Tuesday and found that Inferno was running rather well and faster than usual due to the heat. The loop and the last helix did cause slight pain in my head. Guessing its due to the extra amount of speed as I never usually get head pain. One let down was the tunnels lights and mist not working. The queue did reach 100 minutes on Tuesday though as quite afew schools were on the site.
  7. So obviously this isn'y a legitment layout, nor did I even think it through. If thorpe WERE to get a 200ft B&M Hyper, then this is what they could possibly do with it. Obviously the park does have its limitations like all parks do but this space here seems the best place a B&M Hyper could go. It could also potentially open up a new themed area with afew flats - but as I said this is only an idea of how the space could be used, it is nothing serious.
  8. I cannot stand the vest restrains. Really hope the next Invert to be made dosen't have them restrains, I think they're ugly!
  9. 1. Nemesis Inferno 2. Batman La Fuga 3. Shambhala 4. Dragon Khan 5. Swarm 6. Oblivion 7. Raptor 8. OzIris 9. Monster 10. Oblivion - The black hole
  10. 1. Nemesis Inferno - (Hence the name) This was my first looping coaster. I think Nemesis Inferno is alot more constant with speed and force. Also the theme tune is one of those ones that gives you goosebumps. I also feel Nemesis Inferno is more old than new school. The inversions are very snappy, especially the zero-g roll. 2. Oblivion - Just the pure drop sensation. 3. THE SWARM - Although I do love SWARM I just don't like how the layout had been cut short. Also very intense on back row. 4. Nemesis - Not really much to say about this. The helix's intensity is what puts it here for me but other than that I'm not keen on Nemmy. Also been bigged up too much as the intensity and the speed aren't very constant. You don't even reach the 50mph till the loop entry. 5. Air - Tame.
  11. Dr Who is love or hate, I don't think the park would want an attraction where people avoid it just because they hate the brand. Then again I could be wrong.
  12. I meant the coaster itself, the park is open..
  13. I guess this includes rethemed and what not so I'll do the areas which are most needed.. Calypso Quay: Nemesis Inferno - Renamed Inferno, Track repaint and major clean, Trench dug all the way through the tunnel filled with water and red lights to make it feel as if you're following the lava flow, Plants cut back, New rock work added in the whole area, Give it more of a caribbean theme with more buildings, better on ride photo spot (Exit of the loop), Queueline to be updated and more themed. Rumba Rapids - Renamed Calypso springs, general layout extended, lake in the middle filled up, flats added in the centre of the where the lake is filled themed to a caribbean village, theming to match with Inferno (e.g. rock work, lava type effects etc..), new theme tune, more exposed to make it feel like it belongs in the park, new water features (e.g. rougher waves, springs that soak you) IMAC and Mr Monkeys banana boat to be incoperated with Calypso, Extend themeing into them areas, cut back trees to make it feel like they belong. Detanator - Renamed Fireball, Repainted to the colour of Inferno, new volcanic theming with a new theme tune. Calypso quay will be separated with rockwork and a village buildings, more enclosed like the AFRICAN area at Phantasialand. Lost City: Colossus - Name kept, repaint and updated track sections that have wear and tear, new station interior along with area clean up, new theming such as aztec symbols in areas and more facade. All lost city flats - New theming, more facades around them to make them feel part of lost city, some trees cut back to open up the area and allow for new themeing.
  14. It annoys me now that Inferno no longer has the theme playing in the station and also how it is out of sync in the area. The theme tune is one of those ones you could listen too all day.
  15. When you create a new coaster for your park yet 0 guest visit it.
  16. I agree it's good that they're catering for the family but they can't just purely focus on them now. Thorpe Park still rely on thrill seekers to some extent and yes a lengthy wait for a new coaster could see them loose 'some' of the thrill seeking market. The last major coaster was THE SWARM but the problem with that is people complain its too short or its a tame ride compared to the others. They could replace the flying fish with a decent family coaster and keep the larger spaces for larger coasters. Also regarding another launch coaster. If it offered inversions then people won't compare it to stealth because when you think of stealth you think of high speeds, and going 205ft into the air, if you had a coaster with inversions you're more likely to think about them than the launch itself. At the end of the day the park will do what they thinks best for them but I can't see them not installing a major coaster soon.
  17. Thinking more realistically about the situation, I'd think there could be some serious park TLC after WC16 maybe over the 2017/18 season then possibly a B&M flyer or even a dive coaster. Before anyone says a dive coaster would be similar to SAW or THE SWARM, they're different experiences.
  18. 2016: Dark ride complete and opens to the public Colossus to get a repaint and general TLC Nemesis Inferno to get the moss cleaned off the track going into the tunnel Replace old fencing with new fencing to give the park a better look Removal of Slammer for a future flat ride 2017: Nemesis Inferno to get some more theming (More rock work, foot choppers and trench going through the tunnel filled with water and red lights to reflect on the water to simulate lava General clean up of Calypso quay Rumba rapids re-theme with better water features Fungle safari area cleared for 2018 flat ride/rides Rangers county to be turned into a new family area 2018: One half of neptunes beach to be demolished for 2019 spinning coaster themed around neptune himself Stealth and SAW repaint with general TLC to the rides New flat ride places near Nemesis Inferno to match the theme of the 2016 dark ride New buildings and facades to give the park a better feel 2019: New spinning coaster for the family General park clean up, replace foliage around the park and improve most older queue lines in the park New entrance and construction of the hotel near the capark New Island next to The Swarm and Stealth ready for 2020 coaster (B&M Hyper/Intamin Megalite/Mack looper etc..) 2020: New coaster opens for 2020 The Swarm track repaint Older flat rides to be removed, ready to be replaced Depth charged to be removed for more family rides

    Phobias

I have emetophobia (Fear of vomiting) I find it awful. When I was around the ages on 7-10 I use to have an obsession with hand sanitizer because I use to fear that if I eat without using it that I'd be sick. When I also use to eat crisps, I wouldn't eat the bit that I touched and chuck it away. I never use to swallow my spit either because I thought that the stomach bug could be in my saliva and if I swallow it I would become ill. When someone feels sick or vomits I shut down and panic for deal life. I get cold sweats and I start crying. This triggers me to feel sick and then I think "What if I'm sick" and start panicking even more to the point I wont even drink water. Since I've got older its become less of a problem but its still in the back of my mind when I do feel sick...
  20. 2014: Nemesis Inferno renamed Inferno Nemesis & Colossus repaint All park effects fixed Tidy up areas and cut overgrown vegitation 2015: B&M Flyer built on Island next to The Swarm themed around a Swiss village and a monster trying to cause and avalanche to destroy the village X Removed and replaced with a small themed area and a flat ride. Neptunes Kingdom removed and a retheme of the dome. 2016: Rumba rapids rethemed Inferno installed with Magnetic B&M brakes and new B&M Invert trains (The ones on OzIris) Colossus new trains Stealth and Saw repaint 2017: Saw contract expires and renamed Psychopathic Stealth layout like original plans because people are complaining its too short 2018: GCI Woodie behind Inferno and goes up to Canada creek where it turns and heads back and themed on the story line of Calypso Quay Slammer removed forever The Swarms trained turned forwards and layout extended because of complaints of it being too short.
  21. I hope its either a Giga Coaster or B&M hyper. I can see in my head a B&M Hyper.
