  1. What does everyone think of the Extasy ride? I think it looks fab and I want thorpe to get one like this with music and custom sound effects! http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FTua058t3Zg
  2. actually although tango hurt like hell it was more fun than samurai and felt safer actually haha!!!
  3. I take it that the cable that snapped would have been the tension cable that runs down the arms to the gondola (look at the seats and you should see it)
  4. I'll be there till about half 3- 4 o clock. So will be there all day for about 8 hours which is good
  5. I rememebr them! They looked cool but everyone I know who went om them said the water was not very nice :/
  6. What's the wackiest/most insane ride you've ever been on or seen? I'll start off with the Chaos Pendle from funtime! It's a booster on steroids! http://www.funtime.com.au/data/index5.htm
  7. Is it just me or does it seem like slammers arms seem to bend a tiny bit when its at the top of the ride towers?
  8. Is it true that Disneyland Paris is 1.9 billion pounds in debt or is that made up??
  9. I agree with you! They are the same on the one at brighton pier! Where you can select how tight you want it and if you want it sort of loose then it stays like that!
  10. I'd like to be introduced to everybody when its our first meet! Of course we all talk on here but maybe on the meet day a quick 5 or 10 minute introduction saying who we are, what are our hobbies are and our favourite rides or something along those lines also I know this is more of a theme park page but maybe 1 or 2 meets a year at funfairs? Not small fairs but ones like the Goose Fair, Winter Wonderland, Hull Fair etc etc!
  11. This will always be brilliant. http://youtu.be/JPfCQVmzxsg
  12. Ocean Kingdom is a park in china which is themed to the ocean(as you can tell!) and has 3 coasters including a wing rider! More infomation here! Discuss the park here http://rcdb.com/8991.htm
  13. The only time I rode Colossus was when I used to use my parents disabled badge and cut the queues and with disabled you have to go at the back and I just found that keeping your head forward out of the restraint helps new trains would be very welcome on Colossus and maybe they could repaint it but if thorpe want to keep the lost city theme maybe they could maybe add some brownish sort of paint to make it look rusted
  14. I understand how you feel! I hate blood tests! It always make me even more nervous if the nurse doing it is not that friendly :/
  15. So this weekend its the river festival in bedford and there is always a funfair for it! Before I get into my report I shall do a ride count Danter's Superstar - 2x Parrish's Extreme- 1x (it was having technical problems and me and luke waited about 3 minutes before the safety bars opened so we could get on the ride!) Stokes's Dream's Live - 1x Ghost Train - 1x Matthew's Tango - 1x Miami -1x Wallis's Vertigo Booster - 1x So onto the rides! Danter's superstar is probably the best superstar travelling in the country and it was my first ever superstar! Very intense yet relaxing! It also had air gates for the exit and entrance which is really neat! It was along the same quality in presentation as one of germanys travelling rides! Had a brilliant backflash and brilliant sound system Tango was a ride I was not too keen on doing but I thought well at least go on it its worth a try! It was horrible! The straps on the shoulders rubbed on my shoulders and it hurt! And my neck was forced into the safety bar as it flipped over I gripped on for dear life haha but I would ride it again! Parrish's extreme is always a brilliant ride but it was having a few technial issues! Me and luke payed to get onto the ride and we went to sit down but the safety bars were locked and would not lift up and we eventually got onto the ride but halfway through the cycle it just stopped but luckily the operator sent us around again! Dreams live is a new ride to the uk (it came to the uk from france this year now owned by spencer stokes) its a wonderful ride! Its VERY VERY forceful when the ride goes at full speed which is luckily only for about 30 seconds at the end of the ride cycle which is good as it makes the ride not too sickly the safety bars hold you only at the hip and legs like mondial restraints do (dreams life is a technical park ride!) Ghost train and miami - not much to say they are just the standard miami and ghost train you find on a uk fair! Vertigo - now this was my first ever upside down flat ride which I first rode back in 2012 at milton keynes! This time it seemed to be very extreme as it was holding us upside down and then flipped as it came to the station! It was a brilliant ride which lasted about 5 minutes! When we were at the top waiting for the other car to load it seemed to shake a bit violently this could be due to the speakers as they were loud! But it did end up having technical issues at the end of the day! Hope you enjoy my report and here's a video of tango!
  16. I have another confession I think I'm extremely annoying and also I went on the bubbleworks when it was professor burp and there was a sign that I think said "you will be squashed" and I thought the ride was going to actually squash me so I started screaming and crying and they had to drag me outside. I was 5 when this happened!
  17. I think the orbiter that had an accident was darren matthews extreme which was made by the same people who make the famous twister rides in the UK. the accident meant all extremes which had manual closing safety bars had to have a special metal bar which you put your arm through for added safety. the makers of that extreme had never made an extreme before( I think thats true dont quote me) and that was their first one so that one was a prototype!
  18. Put me down as going since my mum has won a ton of money and will be booking tickets at the weekend Cannot wait to meet you all! Really excited and nervous for my first meet!
  19. The bedford river festival funfair is on this weekend! Should be a good line up as ive heard Stoke's moondancer (technical park moondance) is planning to go! It's the only ride of its type in the uk!
  20. Was scrolling through the forums and found this so I decided to restart it with a question that has caused a lot of conterversey(cant spell the word but I'm sure you'll get what I mean!) Who believes that the illuminati exists in the music industry? Do you think that most artists have to sell their soul to be a music producer or singer? DISCUSS
  21. Brilliant report luke!! Glad you really enjoyed baco! Makes me all excited for my trip next year
  22. Thorpe should invest in one of these. With the lap bar restraints it must be awesome!
  23. Sorry for a double post but the starflyer in question was not the mellors starflyer it was one of the newer mardi gras starflyers which are popping up all over the uk! The mardi gras starflyers have seats which are closer together
