  1. They said they were going to on Twitter but that has to be taken as a pinch of salt really
  2. So I'm on the hunt for some new headphones and I'm wondering if anyone in here could help. My current headphones are the Sennheiser CX 3.00, while they're great I'm finding that when listening to music loud, the sound distorts, especially when there is more going on in a song. I'm ideally looking for some over-ear headphones in the £100 to £200 price range which have a good level of bass and still sound good when the volume is turned up. Wired or wireless doesn't matter but I prefer wired. Thank you to anyone who can help!
  3. I've been active on these forums for a while but I realised I've never properly introduced myself. So hello, I'm Matt, I'm 18 and am (hopefully) going on to university shortly to study Computer Science (one of my main interests, and the only one I can really do a degree on!). I of course am a big fan of Thorpe Park, I live only a few stops away on the train and so can visit quite easily. Usually I'm able to drag at least one of my mates along although I think they're getting a bit bored of it now I've also visited Chessington a number of times but it's lost it's appeal over the years so Thorpe has become my favourite park to visit. (I'd mention Legoland but I haven't been there for like 12 years!) Aside from computers and theme parks you can usually find me either playing games (although it's rare nowadays!) or out and about being sociable. I'm a bit shy so don't really tend to start conversations with people but every once in awhile I manage to overcome my emotions and actually meet some new people

Perhaps the new soundtrack wasn't ready in time for the ride to be upgraded? If the light show is in sync then it would make sense to delay opening since it all needs to be implemented at once.
  5. Don't worry, Saw Alive will be exactly the same as before, just a bit more worn and a bit more dirty!

Seems like it isn't unfortunately! But what on earth could it be then?

    Logger's Leap

Wasn't it marketed as "The tallest log-flume in the UK" in some places? Don't think it was really pushed if they did advertise this.
  8. They did it during the summer last year I think, July/August time. Oddly enough it was on their holidays website before the main website.
  9. Double the size of X and turn it into a Rock 'n' Roller Coaster like ride

    Slammer

RIP Slammer, glad I went on it last year (had never been on it before!). Brilliant flat ride, sad to see it go but hopefully it'll get a worthy replacement
  11. They used to have a Cafe Nero at Chessington, which was definitely popular with the mums! It had a show area for kids to I think
  12. They might be waiting for all the planned IMAscore tracks to be added to the parks before they release a CD

Went on the ride to Evacuate the Dancefloor, fitted surprisingly well
  14. Very funny! My autocorrect likes to play tricks on me sometimes it seems!
  15. I can't see it either, could someone put a market on the map because I must be blind!
  16. https://www.thorpepark.com/blog/derren-browns-ghost-train-rise-of-the-demon-service-updates Blog post from Thorpe with some more detail of what ROTD includes
  17. This appears to be Thorpe's most recent response regarding Loggers...
  18. Big tip: make sure you book for the Harry Potter studios! The queues are long to get in even with a ticket, and make sure arriving at 4 is going to give you enough time, I remember staying there for a good few hours when I visited (you can see as much or as little as you want to though). In my opinion I wouldn't try to visit both places in a day, you'd be better off visiting Thorpe another day if you can (it's best visited for the entire day) whereas you could easily fit the HP studios in after you land. Speaking of landing, I can second what everyone else says, Heathrow is very prone to delays, and I'm not 100% sure but you may still have to go through passport control if you're not an EU citizen. And as people have said the M25 is often slow moving (it's the nearest motorway/major road to Thorpe Park and the best route to get to Watford for HP). Hope this helps a bit!
  19. Couldn't agree with you more! Everything you've said is what I've been thinking the entire time on this forum You must have not ridden the Ghost Train!
  20. I experienced this too, it was surprisingly effective with scaring everyone, although I imagine it'd be even better combined with the train in the tunnel in order to give people a reason to run onto the next train. That's what I mean really, just a little more than what's already there, just to have little references to him at some points.
  21. It's not just two lights, there's an entire front of a tube train which comes from the tunnel. Would imagine it's quite heavy and would require a lot to move it so fast.
