I love it when operators enjoy there job and add some enthusiasm to the ride.

The abbey lake 'peninsula' is a piece of land that Thorpe have been filling in. It is one of the only large pieces of land that they have left and I highly doubt they would waste it on a family ride. I really do not think they would add a family ride anyway, even though it would be a good addition Thorpe have clearly gone for the thrill seeker route. And if they did do all of this you would not see it behind saw, wouldn't it be behind stealth and swarm.

I have never personally Been on the beach and it is often closed but for families it's quite a relaxing area and an ideal place for kids who aren't tall enough for most rides.

Look at the start of this thread, I definitely think tears space....I would like to see this but really don't think it would happen. I really see an RMC topper track.

Ive found stealth to close most of the time. The only time I've ever seen inferno break down is when there was a power cut...when I was on the lift.?

I know Thorpe will probably keep slammer and samurai for a few more years but when they do go what should they add there. I've heard talk of a topspin but I don't really think it would be a good addition. Also that would only fill the slammer space.

I think this ride is dangerous, you can easily fall out. Knowing Thorpe they will add OTSR

It probably does need a change then. Still seems like a lot of hassle for quite an easy task.

Wow, I asked for a good cycle when I got on samurai on Sunday and it was AMAZING. It lasted for ever but was constantly throwing airtime swerves and flips at us. Also nice to see it lowered and zeroed quicker than previously this year and nowhere near as bad at zeroing as I've seen videos of. I have a question: I'm aware if you ask you can occasionally get a good cycle on samurai, I normally just say can I have an intense cycle and once or twice the op has given me a great cycle and a very intense ride on samurai. Is there a specific cycle to ask for for a more intense ride(e.g. cycle 5)

I didn't realise the 'old town' was only that area and assumed the area under construction applied to the area and not just loggers. Why the sudden name change? It is strange to go to so much effort just for a fright nights attraction, lots of developments at Thorpe by the looks of it. I don't no what to expect for the next few years

Sorry for double post... I saw a theory that Thorpe were planning a new themed area. I know the maps aren't very accurate but on the 2016 map it's changed Canada creek area to the 'old town' and says area under construction. There are also some old western looking buildings by where the loggers entrance was. I know the map isn't the best source but also after all the speculation about a woodie at Thorpe it would fit the theme. I've heard there's been soil tests around the old railway and behind swarm, could Thorpe and towers be getting a woodie? I know this sounds very unlikely but it's interesting to think about. There probably won't be a coaster there as I don't see the room but this could be a new area and they could open platform 15 as an all year round scare attraction like they did with saw alive with the addition of the saw area. I don't think loggers will re-open and if it does definitely rethemed possibly to this new area. This probably won't happen but it's interesting to think about since the area isn't used.

First time I went on sore the ride it was awful but this year I found Colossus and saw not to be that bad.That may be because since then I've ridden some SLC's and some old woodies lol.

Talking about the new coaster does anyone have any more info (or speculation) about the apparent new coaster. Haven't heard much recently since the original rumours.

I noticed from saw the other day that it looks like they could be doing some work on the area. When you think about it Thorpe has a lot of space to expand. Does Merlin own most of the surrounding land? I think behind swarm will be the most likely destination for the long awaited coaster

I haven't noticed any judder at all this season.

I really think Colossus needs serious maintenance. I would love lap bar trains like Altair even though it's not going to happen. The other day I saw every ride op in harnesses, it's like there waiting for the lift hill to give way. I've also noticed Colossus is louder than ever this year.

I've only ever seen tidal wave run on 3 boats in July and August. Normally the green boat is by the station, looks like it doesn't get a lot of use before schools are out.

I know the music you mean. I've heard a lot more over recent years, was that part of the original soundtrack?
