It's cos they cant be bothered. Yes, it's cos of technical difficulties.
-
Lack of care and attention! It's easy to install things onto demo mode! I'm really surprised they haven't changed it yet, surely someone in engineering is enthusiastic about their product and wants to spend time making it as good as it could be.

I love how she's confused as they pull away. Maybe that's why they introduced bar locking. Miss those days though, is it seriously that much of a big deal that guests are still walking off as the ride moves? You know how to stop the ride if they suddenly decide to lurch for the train etc.

Original soundtrack? Original? Nah that's the one which lasted two years before they reverted back. Far prefer black hole music, then again it's probably leaving us in a months time.

I seem to recall talking to someone about this effect - it's literally that it gets clogged with **** and the system needs flushing every now and then to keep it working fine. Thorpe, being Thorpe, don't do this. So it clogs to death and dies. Just do routine maintenance and it'll be fine. They've got an ace record on this so we all know everything will be broken again in a month due to a lack of care.

Postman Pat is a completely new ride system, let alone new vehicles.

Actually, John Lewis event at Thorpe Park was a highlight. There for 3hrs, did one ride (an evening event in 08 init). There's always been some sort of niggle with my thorpe trips whenever I visit, usually because they're too anal to increase ride capacity to ensure people enjoy a good day out. I'm sorry, but one staff member to turn a 40min queue to a 5min queue really doesn't do anything but increase satisfaction. Muppets. Probably a reason why thorpe is in the situation it is in now, and why I never visit.

Fit. Maintain it to stay like that every day, and I'll be happy. And pressure wash it over winter so it doesn't look utterly crap next year with constant mist issues.
-
Wow so it really looked absolutely nothing like it does today (well, obvious different theme.. but I thought there'd be noticable things). Thanks ElectricBill!

Any timings for the 2nd video? I kept skipping through but must've missed it cos of the brief glimpses.. Such an ace video though, must've been quite well off to have a decent camera in 93!

Slammer last day 06, being stuck at the top in the rain for 20mins, getting down offered a free hot drink to find it wasn't working so offered a nice cold coke as a refreshment. Screw you, thorpe.

Totally gonna go out there and say that actually the end corridor is my favourite bit of the ride. If timed right, and I get THE GAMES HAVE JUST BEGUN with the noise it gives me a right chill down my back. Probably my only thing I enjoy from it apart from 'hello squirrel hunters'
-
Looks beautiful. Really really good... but... It looks like a bus or train station. Not exactly theme park material.
-
SAW's ending is crap. Especially as half the time he'll sit there and then start waffling just as you move off. Unsure why we've got two pages as to the boring theme that this ride has either
-
Argh. Want to visit to see this now. Someone take a pic please so I don't have to!!
-
Must be lift motor issues if they'd evacced and kept train where it was.. or power supply.
-
What's a retheme if you haven't had to completely remove all reference to the previous ride and replace them with new things? You won't see bright yellow sheep or green pigs. They've all gone and everythings changed. The only resemblence is the physical hardware or the nutty shells.
-
THE PLACE WILL BE FULL!!!! I'm more interested in the hotelness. Hurry up holiday inn disappearing and extention finishing. I wanna stay.
-
Deffo can't compare when you can't even see the area from outside (you've all seen squirrel nutty and the main entrance)
-
Hopefully not. Dual Operation is **** for guests and staff alike. 12-3pm is acceptable for Griffins. As mentioned above, it'd be a surprise if it even got anyone riding in those 3hrs anyway.
-
Ice blast. Maintained so badly that S&S won't have anything to do with it as they've void everything. Lol.
-
Blame the kids. If the kids loved dull colours and had attention spans like the old days, then it'd probably stay that way.

Chessie does have target throughputs. You can see them through the windows of the ops cabins. Vampires, last time I saw which was 2 years ago, had 250 for one train and 550 for two trains. Awful considering you can get 700 or so on two trains if run properly. And, as I mentioned in the bit you spoke about, it takes time to argue against rules. They were put in there for apparent safety and it'll be difficult to fight against these now.

I dunno, they've deliberately put those on the Qbots and on their phone app style there's literally no mention of thorpe in anything. I think they'd be getting qbot as a seperate thing like.. maybe they'll use this as well as ticketing thing. But who knows. Hopefully they don't do fastrack on top. Universal does it and it's essentially everyone goes fastrack one way or another and everyone else is stuck in a non-moving queue.

http://accesso.com/loqueue-overview/q-bot/ Lol. Lo-Q (or their new name accesso) now run their whole ticketing system it seems. Online and soon.. fastrack style things. Yay.
