I imagine this is purely down to budgets. Hopefully it isn't down to an overspend on swarm ents budget at beginning of the year, just a redeployment of staff.

At the end of the day, this thing is covered. There's no such thing as discrimination when it comes to health & safety - as the same with disabled riders, if the ride host, operator, management team or ride manufacturer do not feel fully confident that riders will be safe, they are not allowed on. Based on an obvious incident which has happened, they will be fully backed by law here. Fair? Who cares, I prefer this to someone drowning really.

Worrying? Nah, it just shows that thorpe finally have understood the concept of throughputs and quick loading.. As for the island theme, as JoshC says it specifically mentions thorpe park. So you're at thorpe park, and the swarm has hit there. That's the theme. Still, more theme than pretty much any other ride at thorpey.

At the end of the day, if thorpe didn't do anything, another incident of the same nature occured and there was a fatality resulting from this, we all know exactly what would happen. Apparently it is just temporary until they have measurements in place, then it'll be open to everyone, even the idiotic.

Plus it pretty much ruined Chessington by removing one of their biggest thrill rides. Completely wrong idea to do. Rameses would just be repeating it - less for the older kids to do, less bothering going to chessington then.

Don't understand the whole opening on one train thing, particularly on peak days. I just think it makes the engineering team look lazy and useless to not be able to get two trains fully out and ready by 9:30 in the morning. You don't see this at towers, regardless of if its peak or not. Reminds me too much of chessington where vampire struggled to ever open on time due to late handovers, until they got a new manager in place..
