  1. The Lion King 3DThe easiest 10 out of 10 I will ever give to a film. Most pictures have to prove their worth over a long running time. Instead, Lion King hits the ground running with the most awesome opening sequence of any animated film. Every voice artist gives it their all and makes their characters memorable and well rounded. The music is sublime fitting the African setting beautifully, each song is wonderfully sung and easy to sing along to. The story is engaging and full of funny, sad, happy, angry moments. The 3D just adds fantastic clarity to each scene.I'll admit quite feely that Lion King never fails to make me cry, when Mufassa appears in the sky to a Simba who has forgotten who he is, well.. I nearly break down because of its cinematic brilliance. It tugs at the heart strings and refuses to let go.Just awesome. 10/10, 100%, 100/100. 5 stars. Just perfection.
  2. I'd say its just because The Swarm's track is just so chunky and the lift hill takes up a far larger area. Even compared to the taller Stealth, Swarm impresses.

    Music

For you, I promise it never left.
  4. I'm saving my OH MY GODS until I eventually ride it. I have a feeling, like Katun, that off-ride and on-ride videos aren't going to do the ride much justice. It looks way to atypical B&M in that video, whereas knowing the layout, its nothing like a typical inverter.
  5. What a turn of events then. Back in 2005 or so, Thorpe was the only park that had proper (ish) theme park music on all its rides. Now it's the other way round and music is either mismatched, cuts out or non existant. Why they can't get Inferno's dispatch music on properly is beyond me.

VSBut which one will be finished first?! Odds are 4-1 Wild Eagle, 20-1 Swarm. Take your bets now.
  7. Yeah about that. I'd rather have one topic with the question "How busy it is going to be" then hundreds and hundreds of topics asking the same question for any particular day.As my opening post says quite explicitily."Right, so instead of endless topics asking us how busy the park is going to be, instead here is a rough guide to the kind of business the park/s should be expecting this season. It's not set in stone and remember business can be effected by weather, ride reliability, mount of trains/cars on the rollercoasters, amount of staff working on things, fastrack etc etc etc!""Remember guys, read this guide to help if you beat the queues without wasting money on Fastrack. Also use the park well. Head to Stealth and Inferno instead of Saw and Colossus. Do rides whilst they look empty instead of following the majority of the crowds. "
  8. Gorgeous image, thanks for that Ben1990
  9. Definitly. Whilst I always knew I'd ride Raptor, having one on a larger scale being built just round the M25 is far more exciting. I remember back in 05 when Stealth was having its pull through and even staff members at the park were stopping to watch the train going through.. that was exciting as well. There's something about construction that has a childish fascination to it. You just can't help be impressed. I remember when Merlin first took ownership of the Tussauds parks and people were calling them cheap for adding a Gerstlauer.. After an Intamin and three B&M's, they don't look so cheap anymore.
  10. Just Dreamin' bout my four inversions
  11. I like both of these posts. it's only dawned on me recently that its another B&M for crying out loud. One of the best coaster companies in the world is being constructed less than an hour away then most of the members on this forum. Can't wait.
  12. The intriguing point with that is the only parks I've seen it enforced is at Thorpe and Chessington. For years I've had to put up with views of other peoples dirty socks on Air, hell I rode Superman de Acero in some rather delightful yellow socks a few years back.

I think anyone with any common sense would have that kind of reaction if they were about to go to Disneyland in the same day they were told about it.Bless her
  14. All my friends are missing.COME BACK MICHAELA!
  15. A set of trim breaks are on the bottom of the drop. The same kind that are on Air when you come out of the lying down position.
  16. I just had a squee moment there. Just dawned on me proper that we've got a brand new B&M being built in the UK. Just look at it. Beautiful stuff!
  17. Eleventh point down where it says "High healed shoes are not permitted." Whilst I am surprised tyhey adhered to that rule, you can't feign ignorance if you didn't read the signage board at the entrance.
  18. Thanks to everyone who has posted their construction pics on here for everyone to see. They're fantastic images. :)I also don't mind the trims as much as the next coaster enthusiast. The best parts of Raptor was when the train was at a more crawling pace.
  19. Josh C pulled a rather hot bird during lunch hours.
  20. We're just using Raptor as a basis considering it's the only other ride that we can gain an understanding on for how Swarm will work. You hit that top break on Raptor (yes, the one after the slow inline) and then stop. On every other B&M I've ridden, the train always stops outside the station ready to come in when the train in the station has left. For some reason this doesn't happen on Raptor. Instead the train moves from the top break area, into the bottom at quite a speed, you stop briefly again and then move into the station. This as you can imagine wastes quite a bit of time as by the time you reach the station, the other train has already left the lift hill. Now whether Swarm will work like that considering it seems to have three break areas remains to be seen. Just at the moment, that part of track layout looks very similar to Raptor. As for trims, Superman de Acero and Raptor are notable ones I've ridden where they remain on. They are both excellent though, regardless so it shouldn't effect Swarm's effect hugely.
  21. Loooking at the recent pics, if its anything like Raptor, it will stop at that top set of breaks.
  22. To answer ones question, the first block section on Raptor is where the train stops. When the train in the station has left, you move into the second block section and stop briefly. Maybe B&M encountered some kind of problem because of the length of the train, I don't know but thats how it worked and I am assuming is how Swarm will work. I wouldn't worry though, the speed the train goes going round a simple corner is quite considerable. think Thirteens fast bit of track as it returns to the station.
