  1. As I wrote in my blog"And yet I can still call the way the’ve promoted ‘The Swarm’ exceptional and that the park hasn’t hit a duff note on the ride at all. If I was to be a hater, I’d say Swarm is too short, its got trims, it’s a dull colour, the tank is in the wrong place and it has a fake turret, none of the theming will appear or work after its first season and that the actors aren’t out long enough."More then enough criticism to get off on.
  2. Oh B&M and your wonderful ways.
  3. Thats right, I'd cancel my pre-booked ticket and my entire trip based on some rain.
  4. Grammar, Spelling and using tenses properly applies to you as well TPGG. If you're going to go around the forum being a little grammar Nazi, you could at least do us the courtesy of using proper English in your posts as well.
  5. This a thousand times. Driving ever closer to me won't make me go faster.
  6. I can sort out your spelling, but I can't change the orientation for you. You need to sort that out yourself using the small arrows below the uploaded picture on Facebook.
  7. Take that you piece of crap! Yes Cat!
  8. /\ Coined the phrase "If I wanted trees I'd go to a garden centre"
  9. Hi, I'm 88 years old and I still pull the queues
  10. My first reaction was.. awesome. It was then.. yeah that music is rather apt. I wish I could say I wasn't surprised by the decision. The way Thorpe has been going the last few rides, it was only a matter of time. One wonders how long the remaining RMC rides have left. I always feel liks Depth Charge, Neptunes Beach, Chief Rangers Carousel and Mr Monkeys are on borrowed time anyway.I just can't see a park where the only family rides are Flying Fish, Storm in a Teacup, Rumba Rapids and Loggers Leap though. They can't really just bulldoze down everything that young kids can get on..
  11. You mean ignoring the fact Samurai at the time was the most intense flat ride the country had ever seen right.
  12. Yeah pretty much. I'm not as gutted as some. I'm probably more sad that it's another part of Thorpe's heritage being ripped up and scrapped.
  13. Can you give blood straight away if you have sex with a man?Are you able to get married to another man or can women marry women?Do straight people have to come out as straight to their parents? We aren't equal from the word go. A national coming out day can give strength to people who might feel they are all alone in a world where hate crimes, bullying and gay suicides are oh to common. That is the first step to equality if we can be accepted for who we are and not for a facade you put in place in fear of being discovered as gay.
  14. I don't give a damn if the platformers don't like it frankly. They are there to do a job, to fill the trains up as much as possible and if they have to be in a position where they actually have to speak to paying guests then so be it.If the park are saving thousands on cannabilising the third train (not to mention operational costs) then the park can do their best to fill the existing trains up.
  15. I think you miss the point slightly of Adam's post. The 1000's of paying guests may matter a lot to the park, naturally they would, but I don't think of what the 1000's of guests might like, I take what I like from an enthusiast perspective, as would most sane people on TPM, and discuss. Yeah Intamin get a bit of a bad rep on here sometimes but actually, Thorpe's Intamins are pretty damn solid and have propelled the park far faster then a normal B&M would have done. Now that time is starting to catch up on them, particularly Colossus, Inferno rides better all the time. You said it yourself to me via text Marc, how well its running. To be fair though, the general public do that about most rides. The general consensus on theme park forums about Colossus and Stealth is that they are above average so I'm not to sure what you mean by this.
  16. Swarm looks wonderful. I can just imagine how wonderfully smooth and intense it's zero g roll is going to be. It oddly completely dominates the right hand side of the park. Despite Stealth's size, Swarms chunky track and massive inversions make Stealth look like childs play. Wonderful stuff.
  17. Ha! Love it. (Although it would have been better with an Inferno train on it's lift hill)

    Samurai

Going back to this a second, I sometimes feel Samurai would benefit from having limited music on it. Because of the nature of the ride very little music works with what action the ride is performing. Maybe going as far as just having the sound of the ride itself because its quite a noisy ride as it is. Particularly when the ride speeds up, it makes quite a beautiful motorised sound.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dB5P8fD56fw I haven't ridden it since March so I forget what it plays, does it still have the piano loading music or is it now playing some ghastly rubbish?
