Thorpe Park Trip Reports
Nah no way! A new ride should have buzz for a couple few years, I can remember back in 2005 when Colossus would always open with a 30 minute queue from the word go.Hell Vampire and Fury always get a 40 minute queue upon opening and one of them is 20 next year!

Sunday 30th August 2009 - Thorpe Park Summer Meetup
- Closed Rides
It's more then just two visit's this year that have put members off. For instance I've been visiting Thorpe for years and every year it is the same old complaint.. ride reliability is shocking. Fine, you can say that it's not Thorpe Park's fault their rides aren't available but if the end of the day the more money thrown at the enginnering side of the park, the more open rides will be. The 14th March trip this year was really the icing on the cake to well my patience with the place. The general public have very little time to put aside for theme parks and when they visit, they want to make the most of my day with full ride availability and no rides breaking down left, right and centre.- Dragon's Fury
It did used to but it was removed in 2005 as it had minimal impact on queue length and throughputs.- Closed Rides
- Legoland
So by Legoland getting basically what Chessington already has, Legoland is heading in a better direction... I don't think that really makes sense.- Samurai
- Elmer's Flying Jumbos
I bloody hate the Jumbos...They make me physically angry!- Random

- Griffin's Galleon
To be fair, Paultons version is actually really intense. It spins at least double the speed of Griffins. Sure it has the atmosphere of a plank of wood but at least it gives a good ride. Griffins on the other hand has the most epic music in the Merlin group- Chessington General Discussion
Yes it is. The first week of Hocus Pocus, we're talking walk on Fury from 5 o clock With the recession and all it makes sense for Merlin to save money where they can.- Chessington Trip Plans
The parks closing at 6 all week. We aren't as busy as Thorpe so it's understandable for Chessington to still have 5pm closes.- The Blue Barnacle (Previously Black Buccaneer)
The old gates were broken and it was deemed to costly to build new ones.It never had a queue in the old days of Bucaneer but these days it can regularly get 10 minutes queue and longer.- Safari Skyway
I like Skyway but it desperately needs something done to it. I think the general ride is adequate, it gives you good views of parts of the Zoo and a brief glimpse of the rides. Realistically though the park has grown beyond Skyway and I think a new layout is required as the Skyway no longer covers much of the Zoo anymore. the whole of Creature Features and the Monkey and Bird garden can barely be seen. The back of the Sea Life also looks pretty rubbish and the ride itself has seen better days. The ride needs new, up to date trains because the faded yellow ones look pretty nasty these days. It is a very important ride in the park and needs to be looked after better.- Thorpe Park Staff
Well.. for some reason, he might not give a damn if hes banned from a theme park. it's not the be all and end all for some person.- Detonator
No that would just make the normal queue longer. Fastrack is not the sodding answer to reduce queues.- Vortex
Does anyone remember the old Vortex announcements, you know the one where the voice had a personality."Vortex is a very fast ride so please remain seated, hold on tight at all times.... prepare for a scare"A piece of my teenagehood died when they removed her awesomeness.- Your Thorpe Park
I'm with Ste on this one, this topic is titled "Your Thorpe Park", so nowhere is he in the wrong for saying what he would do with the park.- Chessington Music
Hmm I dunno, you'd think the air-gates and rows of waiting riders would be some kind of clue that the way they are going is not the exit..- Closed Rides
10 years is hardly old in rides terms. Rides like Grand National, Big Dipper at Blackpool and the Scenic Railway at great Yarmouth are old but a 10 year old Top-scan is not aged or past it. So what age do we deem rides not as young but as old. 5 years, 10 year, 20 years?- Alton Towers News
According to TTF, Hex, Duel and Log Flume Unplugged were closed on Tuesday due to storm damage. Duel is also still closed because of a thunder strike to the building.- Chessington Music
There is already a sign saying Exit this side. I've had people get off the wrong side on Runaway Train and I've seen people get off the wrong side of Vampire, Inferno, Oblivion etc. Some guests just loose all sense of place at theme parks.- Paultons Park
I'm on the edge of my seat, in fact I've been stingered by the Cobra! - Closed Rides
