  1. Right well a Mark report. After queueing 40 minutes to get Peter and his friends tickets we emerged into Thorpe and took about 40 minutes deciding what to ride. Like a lot of people we had seriously misjudged how busy it was going to be.. well I had anyway. All credit to Thorpe though, only one of its rides proposed to be open was closed and even that opened albeit for the odd few hours. The park looked very decent, clean and presentable. My only criticism of the day was the slow ride staff however its understandable given theres a lot of new people starting that day. Another criticism of the day was the.. sort of.... well ok here goes.I'm bored of Thorpe. There I said it. After 5-6 years of visiting none of the rides interest of thrill me anymore. Inferno front row, meh, Vortex yawn, Slammer oww, Stealth long queues, Quantum *sighs*. None of it interests me anymore. So whilst Thorpe delivered everything it promised, full ride availability, a clean well presented park and a reinvigorated Quantum, I probably won't be visiting again this year.
  2. Thanks guys for today. The Thorpe bit of the trip was dreadful to be honest but Nandos was excellent. 19 of us on that table and it was excellent food. Thanks guys, next time maybe we 're miss out the Thorpe and go straight to the eating.
  3. I'm up to guys (even though most of you will already be there lol).I'm so excited about Nandos, I can hardly wait!!!!!!!!11

So you are basically saying gay people are un-natural. Fair enough, better run or we'll make you gay.

Because I do find it boring. Seriously, why do I care if Thorpe Park make a loss of 6 pound on every ticket sale they get through the door. "The whole point of Thorpe Park is to make money" .. yes I've heard that a LOT over the last four years, in fact when ever I think of Thorpe Park thats all people rat on about. But why should I care? Its not as if Thorpe making lots of money from admission sales makes my life any better. Being able to build bigger and better rides, again what does it matter to me? I'm losing interest in Theme Parks in general so rabbiting on about loss of financial sales = Snore. In other words let the people who have to make the money take interest in the profit side and instead look at it from a theme park visitor angle instead. 24 pound is an awesome price for The Uk's premiere thrill park. "oh but its losing profit." OH NO.

Even though we know the website got it wrong, Peter you made it boring by bringing profits into it. As far as I am aware none of us here are part of Thorpe's financial department. I'm not really bothered if they make less of a profit then normal tbh with you..Now that the price is up at 32 it makes the arguement void really, unfortunantely.

Peter, you don't need to turn it into a negative. After years of the park prices going up and up and up, having a park with the price actually decreasing is good news for the park. If it stays at £24 I may actually praise Thorpe for bucking the trend.Good decision there Thorpey
  16. I'm actually excited about this trip now. Can't wait to see everyone again or complain about the park. It is going to be GREAT

I bet the manager of Thorpe is really like that."Add another 2 pounds onto all fastracks, I'll sue you THORPE PARK MANIA"

Obviusly it depends on the ride.. however every ride has its magic moments. My favourites were Runaway Train, Dragons Fury and Skyway. At the end of the day all rides are just buttons you press. Same as a supermarket job for example.

Having films, music as a file on a computer is the way forward. However don't ignore the CD's, DVD's tapes etc as they are going to be around a lot longer. The problem with Blu-ray is its accessibility. At the moment its to expensive whereas DVD's have come down in price and are very afforadable. Also the jump isn't as large as the jump from video cassettes to a disk. I don't like the idea of films being just a bit of data on a computer, to me it seems rather static. I much prefer something I can look at. For instance I'm really into the classic series of Doctor who and love having all the series in an order on my shelves. If it was just data to me personally it loses its novelty.

Your favourite Dragons Fury operator is back baby
  21. I'm able to do lifts to if people need it to Nandos. Got 3 seats left if its needed. Nandos is just something for afterwards really, obviously we will be at Thorpe for most of the day. We're be parking up in Staines at about 6:10 (avoid paying heh)
  22. I'm more concerned about how we're going to get us lot into Staines Nandos. *gets Marc to book a table for 20

Its interesting you say that Whiteknuckle as Black Mamba actually helped me to like Inferno more. I used to hate Inferno but once I'd ridden Phantasialands version a few times I found myself able to appreciate Inferno more. Nemesis is my favourite but I find it more because of the story, the setting and the background behind it rather than the actual experience. I find the problem I had with Nemesis is that it does have this legendary status hooked onto it and as good as it is, it will never quite live up to it for a lot of first-timers who have already ridden Nemesis Inferno. That being said both of our Nemesis's are supreior to Batman La Fuga, man that ride is dull.

I'd recommend against trying a long distance relationship with someone in Canada. I tried it with Matt who only lived in Canterbury but it made saying goodbye incredibly painful.
