BigBobJones
Theme Park Guide are claiming that Thorpe will receive park wide WiFi this year and this is not an April fools joke. Has anyone else heard this or is there an official press release on this?
0 Ryan
Yeah I've heard they are supposedly getting it, guess it's just something to keep an eye on until official confirmation comes out.
0 EC!
Following suit with alton I see, good cos I'm on payG with my phone, and I dont get internet with it (or it costs an absolute fortune) so I hope they do, do it.
0 JoshC.
I too have heard about the park getting WiFi, and that it would be usable from today. Also, if you look on the back of the park map, on the section about the App, it mentions 'WiFi Powered by The Cloud'; the same as at Alton. So, if it hasn't be released today, I expect it will be sometime soon.
0 Fred
They're gaining the cloud wifi, like towers received last year. It's a good thing really. Loving the wifiness, works well for everyone. Imagine it'll appear ready for summer. EDIT: Beaten by Josh. Obviously want it for easter, all good then!
0 RideAddict
About time they got it after Alton did last year. Now Chessington need to step upto the plate too.
0 Luke_A
Great news! WiFi is much needed at Thorpe, as the 3G masts around the area usually end up hitting capacity meaning it's a nightmare to use, happened to me in the summer last year at Thorpe as well as at FN when the park was busy. Towers WiFi is probably one of the best 'not for profit from guests' things they've ever done... haha.
0 BigBobJones
I don't have a problem with a signal at Thorpe, but Chessington seems to have so many dead spots that even the card machines in the shops fail to get a connection all too often. 0 Matt 236
This can only be a good thing. When I went with mates a couple of years ago, they weren't impressed by the signal.
