Wheres Chertsey Station?

Very very far away from Thorpe, dont walk it, if you go there Bus it. This isnt even sarcasm, I'm actally serious, it took me an eternity to walk from there to Thorpe.

Leave earlier then and be more prepared and you won't have to rush.

It is not far at all!! A couple of miles at the most! And the walk takes you past some awesome stuff, like Subway, a park, the Hungry Horse, the amazing burger van at car craft, the dead fox, AND you get some good views of the park from the motorway bridge. What's not to love?! It certainly beats a packed bus any day.

To clarify, a taxi from Staines station to TP is £8!? That sounds good. Are the taxi's usually there on weekdays? And do they do returns??

There are generally more taxis on weekends, although there are usually some on weekdays. If you are doubtful, you can always call ahead and arrange for one to meet you. And yes, they can do returns.

What time do the buses start leaving from the station to Thorpe and is it 3.00 for a return?

If there is no traffic, the journey will take 10 minutes. During rush hour, the journey can take up to 45 minutes. I think the first bus leaves Staines station at 9am, and they depart from the station every 20 - 30 minutes or so.

its roughly 6 minutes, travelling 3 miles.the first bus from the park to the station leaves at 3:30pm and there on every 15 minutes, until one hour after the park closes

For me a trip to Thorpe on a Sunday is quite reasonable.I get paid £30 a week for my paper round, so I spit on the money I spend to get there (obv not literally! )It costs £4.90 for a return train ticket from Farnborough to Staines, and then the £3 return shuttle bus to the park.So £7.90 altogether, and roughly £22 to spend at the park! Go me!

Yeah that's kind of the same for me but I pay £4.60 for train return (:

I pay £10.10 for a return to Thorpe, but then again I have an AP and don't spend anything in the park. So for me it's £10 for a day out!

yeah I know, its great having an AP, £7.90 for a trip to the nations thrill capital and free admission? Now your talking! :PPlus I've saved about £150. (overall)

If I was to go to Thorpe Park by train it would cost me £12.15 return from Hove to Staines and then £3 return on the bus.

I am going to be using the bus for the first time on Friday/Saturday!
