Because it would look quite silly if it said "Welcome to thorpe park, the home of stealth! Rides unavailable: stealth"

tbh no matter what the park does its fans will find somthing to moan about, fish is fine, could be better sure but people like it and have fun on it, and thats the main thing.

To add to this argument, thorpe imo does just fine as it is, its advertised to provide a unique thrill on certain rides you wont get anywhere else round here, its never really claimed to take you into new worlds of highly detailed theming etc as its not really that kind of park and it never will be. Nothing will change with merlin.

I agree thorpe is a MUCH better value day out than a football match.

Detonator music was on when I rode but is very quiet.

Woo for awsome day today, thanks to a power cut, Colossus, Slammer, Quantum, Rush and X were down from 1 or 2 but didnt really matter, was quite busy and the closed rides didnt help but still had a great day!

If they didnt care about guest satisfaction why do they bother with guest questionnaires? or even priority pass's from a broken ride, they are well in there rights to tell you where to go but they dont, so I think its unfair to say they just dont care. And for the rest, I think theres a much bigger problem than just at Thorpe.

The difference is, what you and thorpe park will consider un-necessary are 2 totaly different things, puting rides on 2 trains inst worth it when there is still a quite low gate figure.

IMO Rita's launch is not a touch on stealths, 0 - 80 in under 2 seconds is of course going to be better then 0 - 60 in 2.4 seconds. I found the launch felt slow, very slow and looked slow. Even if there is just 20mph in it, it makes a hell of a difference.

Samurais music at the moment is the same as last season, with the only difference being the loading music replaced with some ambient thing, new announcements and the ride music cuts out loads during the ride. In general I think the new stuffs ok, dettys I really like, more so than the old one, loggers is ok, same with Colossus. But so far I'm not too impressed with Samurais.

Went to thorpe yesterday with dann and chrissy, very good, possibly best trip of season and maybe best ever who knows!Was great fun all day in the rain, got couple of goes on detty in morning, very impressed with its new music, headed over to stealth, had a small delay, waited for about 10-15 mins for them to fix it, was all good apart from the rain, then got on and just as all lights went red we went back and back.... so yea, got stuck on that for a good 20 mins, but like the nice member of staff said, we were in seats more confertable than the various bench's around the park so was all good! Also got priority pass's to re ride it later in the day. Rode pritty much everything apart from pirates and depth charge, thanks to weather the queues were pritty much not there what was nice! Only bad point was last ride of the day, rose about a meter and stopped, was abit of a pain seeing as my lift was waiting for me outside the park! There no hiding of the issues slammer has had though, and judging by reports from the six flags swat, 2 months isnt that bad!

The park was never evacuated because of stealth smoke or slammer, simply just the small areas.The parks been evacuated a few times in the last few years, mainly due to power cuts...

Basicly what they have done is link up every rides music system/speakers so they can easily make a park wide announcements etc, apparently some of it is now up and running but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Yea its nice the speakers are working again, just a shame we lost the great music, although I will reserve jugment until I actually hear it, the old one will take some beating.

Detonator now has its new music, it has no countdowns or anything like that just sound effects..

Basicly the normal inferno them plays, then an announcement plays whilst you board the train and then some music plays in the background.

I know it dont matter now as the problems sorted, but I thought it was a nice touch of thorpe not selling Stealth fastrack when it was only running 1 train.

In recent visits where has been many times for example Stealth fastrack line is full, which is around a half hour wait, it seems this season they wont happerly let in loads of fastrackers, just a group or so at a time so whilst they still q a shorter time the main q isn't ignored.

Samurai has allways had issues with the heat.
