    Legoland

Really enjoyed it today - looked like there are a few finishing touches to be made but a good solid addition to the park!
  2. Rumbas guns were actually turned off 2/3 weeks before the incident- don't think its related.
  3. Its experiencing technical issues - no conspiracy - its unrelated to Stealths maintenance.

    Slammer

Thorpe have confirmed it on Social media yup. A Shame but no real surprise - i always enjoyed riding it but its reliability was always going to get the better of it one day - they did a hell of a good job keeping it going as long as they did but I guess eventually enough was enough.
  5. As said - was there yesterday from around 9:30 - every coaster was open on maximum capacity - ghost train opened abit late but when it did was running well with , atlesst on the train I was on, all headsets

    Slammer

Thats what i'm saying - they have spent money on it when its been feasible to do so - the past 3/4 seasons have probably been Slammers best reliability wise

    Slammer

Loggers was obviously planned - it was advertised on the thrope site within days of the park closing - the fact that Slammer has had it's closed season work, had new signs bought suggests to me it's quite different to the loggers situation! Thorpe have shown since the ride opened they are willing to spend money on it if feasible.

    Slammer

The fact that slammer has clearly received closed season work, and even has new signage sat in its queue line suggests the issues with slammer were quite last minute and probably out of their control.
  9. Stealth is set to be closed on Wednesday 26th April for anyone visting according to thorpepark.com
  10. Hey Wont be able to visit in the next couple of weeks with work but keep an eye our for our meetups https://forum.maniahub.com/forum/54-tpm-official-meets/ - We will have atleast a couple more at thorpe this year (MOS Day / Evening and Fright nights!)
  11. Looks like they have all opened now apart from Rumba... hopefully you can get back to enjoying your day
  12. Dont see why that shouldn't continue - its already running significantly better than last year - fingers crossed all the work its had will keep it reliable long term. Also @TPGG open now - 5 mins queue if your on park!
  13. Also when I rode on Sunday I beleve all headsets were working - makes the queue much quicker!
  14. Opening time / within 30 mins of open time at worse - Based on my last few visits anyway!
  15. https://www.thorpeparkmania.co.uk/articles/18-04-2017/John+Burton+Q+and+A Q&A with John Burton from Merlin Magic Making here - some geeky references too!
  16. The park have night security - there's also (maybe) sill engineers around at 10 ish so they could have spotted them.

    Logger's Leap

If scaffolding had been put up that would mean a lot! That said I'm sure that platforms veen there for a long time!
  18. Running alot better over past couple days - Only rides not open for 10 this morning was Rocky Express and Samurai. (And Slammer of course!)
  19. All coasters (Apart from Stealth) are open.. I'm a Celeb opens at 11. Just rocky express.. Significant improvement on the past few days.
  20. They banned you from their Facebook for commenting on the name? What did you say?!
  21. Not a great name... Going to be an interesting year next year- whilst I've no doubt it will be the best new coaster for 2018 towers will ultimately triumph with their marketing - seeing this just reaffirms that for me.
  22. No not all guests will see - but they are making it as clear as they possibly can using the equipment they have available- I can't think of any ways the park could communicate that to guests any better. As for the 1/2 train debate it's one what's been on-going for years - of course I wish the rides were all on maximum capacity all of the the time - but sometimes that's not positive for reasons way beyond any of our knowledge - Thorpe being as compact as it is it's always been more noticeable - last year I went to towers queued for an hour for galatica running one station before they opened the 2nd and added the additional train.
  23. The big screen in the dome, the 2 big queue boards and the ride boards at the rides in question all state the rides which are opening at 11 - how can they make it any clearer? As a guest your not expected to know the reasons behind ride capacity- why would you? As for inferno and it's 2nd train - see above - we don't know why it was having the 2nd train added at 12, maybe there was a fault, maybe it opened on 2 but needed to be reduced - its upto the park to manage that and when things are not working up to them to remedy it and or take the flack - I can assure you rides closed will bother management at the park much more than it does you or I.
  24. I agree it was reactive - but they reacted in the best way they could given the situation they were in - and most big rides actually remained open till 7 - got out of ghost train about 7:30. As for the reviews section I don't think towers has this on either - up to them how they utilise social media - they are generally quite good at responding to comments on there negative or positive.
